I hope the Supreme Court reigns in the ATF just like they did the EPA. These branches of government are being used to circumvent congress to enact law. They don't have the authority to do this.

When I was 18 and purchased my first rifle it was a two page form with my name, address, ID info and felon questions on the front. On the back it was the make, model, serial number and dealer info. After I spent two minutes filling out the form and signing it the dealer would review it, take my cash and hand me a receipt within 3 minutes while I checked out my new purchase with him asking me if I needed ammo or extra magazines. No background check, no permits all while living on Long Island in New York. It actually was a quasi free state decades ago.

By them including the language “ammunition” it shows where they are going next. Waiting for the giant push for checks on ammunition purchases

My girlfriend works for cps and she runs backround checks on people. She can see every 4473 that anyone has ever done. Theres already a registry.

In my opinion, any and all of the new and old questions on the 4473 form are merely more avenues for us to be tripped up. A bit more height on the fence surrounding the pasture. City limits: An attempt to normalize the idea that you shouldn’t be allowed guns inside city limits ahead of an attempt to ban possession of firearms when inside a city. The question? Just one city, or all of them in a state, or…

Some of the questions, if answer is REQUIRED, appear to require giving up Fifth Amendment right (against self incrimination) in order to exercise the Second Amendment right. The NFA was stuck down on similar grounds, rectified in 1968 by the GCA.

The entire point of this form is to make it so confusing, difficult and risky that FFL dealers no longer want to sell guns.

We are currently dealing with people being sued for their religious beliefs, to be compelled to do what they're prohibited to by their faith. These people don't respect any of the amendments.

Thing is none of these changes by themselves are that big of a deal, the problem is the slow drip of these changes are nothing more than a path to something larger and they're hoping people don't mind the small tweaks. People of America need to wakeup and realize that everything since the government does not actually have your best interest in mind.

I am a dealer/manufacturer and I have called my field agents more than numerous times for certain questions and no reply, even left a message to nfa headquarters when I started selling nfa items and no reply, so when I get my audit I have every attempt noted! Getting kinda scary and I’m only a small store of 3-500 firearms and used to enjoy the shop,

Some cities require you to have your firearms in a safe so they could do a surprise check once they know you live in the city after you fill the form out.

It cannot be said enough that this is coming down to a situation of, do you submit or organize mass noncompliance? Back when my wife and I wanted to get firearms, there were none. They were all sold out. Then the ammo was sold out or "had supply chain issues". I have always said that there should be zero gun laws! Name any one that exists today that has made people safer, I will wait.... Since 2016 I have accepted that in the future these tyrants will come for me. I only wish that more Americans would wake up and stand together because the plan is to come for us all 1 by 1 and sadly, it's working

What I dont like about the city limits question is that how long untill they ban certain firearms or all firearms within city limits and then use this form to track the people who have the newly prohibited firearms and dont want to give them up.

Bottom Line. If you get locked up for anything in that form (Legal or illegal), you will have to get a lawyer and fight your charge during your incarceration.

The government makes these forms easy to make a mistake so they can get someone with a "process crime".

"Do you intend to..." Definitely meant to prosecute more people. And you can bet your life that instead of the DA having to prove your intent, you will have to prove that you did NOT intend to sell or transfer anything to a prohibited person.

Great channel. I've commented here a handful of times as well as subbed a while ago. Novice shooter here, I should know more in 61 years but on with it. Also a 4th generation Arizona native as well. I'm huge firearms enthusiast and supporter of not only 2nd amendment but all of our rights AND our original pre era 1871 constitution not the fake one that exists today, but that's for another discussion somewhere else. Cold hard facts are, big brother has had its eyes on ALL of our purchases of anything related to the firearms, armaments, and ammo for 30 if not 35 years. I can a remember a time in the 70's, when I could leave the farm/ ranch and go to town with my Dad, and see a nice new rifle or handgun at the grain and feed store and if you had the bank, you could buy it on the spot, ( I think I was 15) as the law back then was you had to have your parental permission, which I did, I think AT 18 you were ok to purchase alone. My long winded point is, IT ALL started to change in 83 or 84 with the introduction and passing of the Brady Bill. Now fast forward 40 years, almost 41. Look at all of the " extra" paperwork now. It seems as if there's no hiding the fact that these criminals ( THE BATFE) have been keeping tabs on what, when, how much or many, what we buy, etc,etc,. That was a run on sentence ! Sorry I lose my composure communicating about this. In my opinion, I believe that the gestapo has had a registry on all of us for decades ! I'm sure there's some good and decent folks at the BATFE. I do honestly and wholeheartedly think that the level of corruption at many governmental acronym agencies is freaking out of control . I also again in my opinion, believe that if we, collectively, are being above board and legal firearms owners, we truly have nothing to fear but God himself. Lastly, I know, that the very near future 30 to 120 days, there will be some challenges that we WILL overcome and brighter and a more transparent time will be upon us 🇺🇸. Ban the ATF

For sure this change is infringing on the right to bear arms under stipulated government conditions which is prohibited for Government to do under the constitution . Hopefully the supreme court will take this up and any other infringements and slap them down swiftly.

When enough of us realize that we are expected to behave like livestock, then we will straighten this out.

I think that if they are so brazen to ask if this is a straw purchase then they should at the very least have the balls to include a space for me to write in the person's name I intend to illegally transfer the firearm to. Makes sense, doesn't it? I think I'd write in Viktor Bout. 🤣🤣

I think the question on city limits is to make it easy for them to develop, share info with, and work with other municipal LEO or “task forces”. The ammo addition is simple. They have been wanting to have 4473 on ammo for years.

One thing no one is talking about is the question where it asks if you intend to dispose of the firearm being purchased. Well if someone is ever in the situation where law enforcement is asking if you have this or that and you say you destroyed it, you are now in violation of that question on this form.

The biggest problem i scene about filling this form out is the definitions to some of the questions and there's a lot of people out there that will ask the guys over the counter please define question and they just walk away and won't even helped with the definition of the question.

The role of the ATF is to see that the law is upheld. They are not allowed to make laws.

Pray that SCOTUS puts the BATFE back in their place. This has gotten way out of hand. Chevron Deference and executive privilege is being abused outright.

on the city limits question I have a speculation. when they finally get enough 'rules' in place making it impossible to own any fire arm, and they start taking all of them, they may need to know which LE department to come as backup. a city cop or a county sheriff.

question about 'city limits' is EASY, they know whether they call up the city or county cops, in U.S. more county deputies are conservative, city cops are more liberal..... strategically it makes sense

Why dont FFL's just collectively say "no thanks" and keep using the old form?

I know of a man who checked the box claiming that did not have a domestic battery conviction. State Police arrested him for making a false statement on the form. The database seemed to show a prior conviction for domestic battery. The elected prosecutor charged him, and assigned the case to a deputy prosecutor. That Deputy prosecutor paid very close attention to details od the case, and went to the original source and found the actual sentencing order and plea agreement in the old court file. He found that the prior conviction was for a lesser-included offense of battery, not domestic battery. The deputy prosecutor moved to dismiss. It turns out that the people who did data input from court records do not always understand what they are doing, and they copy the title of the original charge, and paid no attention to what actually happened in the case.

A really good friend of mine is from New York State and decided to relocate here to Florida just because of the gun laws. And this was 20 years ago.

I have not read the new forms but from what I have heard it will possibly disqualify 1/3 of all applicants going forward The people at the LGS I have spoke to said they will begin using them starting in February 2023 and is mandatory across the board by April 1st 2023

In states that allow private party sales of firearms, if the seller doesn't know the buyer and wants to make sure that they are not selling to a prohibited person, they can go to a FFL and have a background done. The FFL would check block 8 in that instance. Block 8 was also one of the changes done 3 years ago. I agree with you about ammunition aspect of the new 4473.

When nobody stood up in the 1960's and agreed that government should limit "criminals" from purchasing firearms, you opened the door for future problems. Now nonviolent "criminals" can't buy firearms along with anybody else on the ATF watchlist. Good going everybody! You all helped. Now it's up to my generation to try and gain back rights as well as put the government on a track for the people. This man is in that age group and I commend him for his work.

It's clear entrapment, what the ATF is doing with this new form. There are so many possible ways for them to arrest you in the future, if laws change. For example, braces, mag limit, zone restrictions, selling in person, ammunition buying/selling. Why does the ATF need to know these NONE firearm related things?

I remember you could order guns out of a magazine and didn't have to go through any check you sent the money a few weeks later you got what you paid for or it was cash on delivery but you we're free to buy whatever you wanted I'm pretty sure it was a Sears catalog magazine that you ordered from I don't know it's been so long

The new questions in regards to ammunition are a prelude to background checks when it comes to buying it...

Here’s what will happen with this form in the communist states here in America(Commifornia, MA, OR, WA, IL, NY, CT, RI, NJ, MD and other blue states): they will use the “in city limits” to notify city law enforcement that violates 2A rights, so they can further investigate and ,I would suspect, the ATF using “shadow delays” for those who live in city limits As for the “do you plan to transfer or sell the above items to anyone described in 21e-m”, like someone will ask their brother “you, you addicted to drugs? You get a dishonorable discharge?” When they give him his birthday present As for the under 21 -10 max delay, it will end up being someone buying them a gift….which is legal under federal law

Why would I want to sign such an unconscionable contract?
