Same issue here with a 2015 civic se. No key fob remotes, car has old school keys with buttons. Isolated the drain to fuse 29 and found a 1A continuous drain. Narrowed down to LF door lock actuator thanks to your troubleshooting. Thanks for the detailed video 👍🏼 🔧

that trouble shoot is awe inspiring. absolutely incredible. I have a parasitic loss in my dodge caravan, I traced it down to the instrument panel. body control units running through the instrument panel , so i was never able to figure it out completely. great job Hektor.

I’ve had the same issue with my 2014 Si. Walk past the passenger door and it unlocks. I’ve verified that pulling fuse 29 gets rid of the drain as well. I now have a good place to start looking. Thanks so much for doing these!

Excellent diagnostic video!! I use a thermal camera to zero in on the drain. Also use a amp clamp on the negative battery.

Excellent video! I have been dealing with my 2014 Honda civic ex with a parasitic drain for 6 months now. Replaced battery and alternator but still draining. Taken the car to Honda and have spent over $1000.00 and $550.00 at another shop for labor for them trying to find the drain and they say there no parasitic drain but why is my car battery dead after 5 days when not driven.. but still draining Brought the car back to them and told them about the passenger door if I get within 5 feet the all doors will unlock I do not have to touch the door handle. They have ordered me the door handle but it is 2 to 3 month wait due to backorder. This tells me there is something wrong or defected with the handle! Great video and i will definitely use this in the future!!! The funny thing is I was working for firestone and we did 3 batteries and 2 alternators for this 2013 accord with pushbutton start….i did all the same things with the multimeter in amps mode except i started pulling fuses. Long story short it was the drivers master window switch…..but after putting it back together it wouldnt start and kept saying “NO KEY DETECTED”….🤦‍♂️ had to get a mobile programmer to force the ignition on and some other stuff but i will definitely put this info in my toolbox and never pull fuses again lol Thanks

Thanks a lot for giving me new hope. I have a Honda Ridgeline 2008 RTL and the electrical system is acting up. First the guage is not showing the outside temp, odometer, trip and even the Headlight swithc and other info. Plus the AC blower works but the AC Radiator fan and clutch do not engage. Took it to the workshop and they say to replace the MICU. In Ghana I am not getting the same model M2 I got similar one for the Honda Accord and other models M6 and M4. I need help what do I do can I try the different models on my car? What do you or any one recommend

What if the drain is on one of the bus fuse in the fuse box. How do you check those.

The junction box or not Mark how do you know you’re at the right one and how can you find them? I see him on the repair manual but it’s hard to identify not marked or numbered and what will be a good way to find out which junction box

My gfs daughter has a Cadillac srx that shuts off after filling up with gas. It shut off yesterday while driving and was unable to jump start it.

Hector is not possible to just replace the parts in the handle or do I need to buy a whole new handle? The colors won’t match!
