Carburators loading , notice all the black smoke when you rev it up ! Usually a float sticking in the carburator ! Lite tap on the side of the carburator bowl should fix it , LITE TAP !!!
Hey there Aaron. New SBSCRIBER and Notification bell hit! Been following you and Dirt Perfect on Lt Dan build. I'm subscribing to show support. I asked Dirt Perfect for your channel name. The engine on the 5 year start sounds like she wants to run. Give her hell. 👍🏽🙂 Have a fine week.
i had a 69 old's cutlass convertible. previous owner dumped a Chevy 454 under the power barn door and man she was a sweet and fast car. one thing about cars ,they don't climb trees well although I did make it to the third branch 8 feet up lol. cant wait to see these vids .
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 I don’t know Aaron. Jason and I having those fancy Ford’s in your neighborhood might have gotten to you🤩! Even though one was stuck most of the time 😂
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 😱 yeah I got one of them too. No, not the car like that but a wife that looks at me funny when I spend HER 🚫 👀 'shhhhhh' 👀 is she looking? ..... her money💵 ... ... and everyone thinks the hard part is getting all the pieces together with the technical specs when in fact the 'wif- wiff' 🚫 👀 'shhhhhh' 👀 is she looking? ... wife ("subliminal Freudian slip" Wiffle ball bat®)😂😂😂 OMG self humor.

I have a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that you can make your next project! I bought it from my brother and he bought it in 1978 and it's been sitting in a shed since 1978.
Oh man Clyde! You can’t let that beauty set around like that those we a very sharp car a matter of fact about 8 years ago I welded a trunk pan in one of those and did stainless exhaust all the way out and tig welded every joint
Ya I bought it in 1993 when I was 16, it was actually my first car. My brother built the engine with 12.5 to 1 pistons and shaved the heads so it's probably closer to 13 to 1 compression back in 1979 so it won't run on todays gas and has a Muncie 4 speed and posi 4.11 gears. It'll pull the front driver side tire off the ground with just some narrow street tires on the back. Ya I really do need to get it done. I'm sure you had fun working on the one you welded up and your definitely gonna have fun with this new project because it's yours.
My project is a 03 extended cab s10 with a 265 horse Buick roadmaster lt1 and keeping the fuel injection via painless wiring harness. Headers and cold air intake I should be close to 300 horsepower.
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 is your gasoline ⛽ like California gasoline when it gets old it separates and the engine will run bad ? Try some new gasoline . I had the same problem with my 26 Oldsmobile server car and 36 chevy 5 window coupe with a crazy cam .
Sweeeeeeet, looks like it’s strip ready!!!! Recently my son, in his second childhood, rebuilt his LS in his 4 door GMC pick up (street legal sleeper), had to turn it waaaay down to keep the stock trans alive. If it was mine, I’d name it “Big Ticket Magnet”!!!
Good luck. Gonna be a fun project! Old american muscle. Can’t beat it. We’ve got a 69’ Nova we drag race I’m lucky enough to get to wrench on it regularly. What motor and trans are you running? What are the end goals with the car?
Originally this was an olds 442 and had the 455 rocket but the guy that had it before me sold it when he blew it up 😡 so it’s now got a 350 bored 30 over with a 350 trans my main goal was to get it running it ain’t been started in over 5 years now it’s time to move on to the next step
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 that’s awesome. Funny how that works. The nova we have, Black Thunder, had a small Block 350 in it that was blown up as well. My buddies son bought it and the guy gave him an option of a small block or big block. Of course, like any 17-18 yr old, I’ll take the big block! We now have a 454 bored 60 over. It’s been fun, but damn it’s a ton of work! Good luck. These old muscle cars are the gifts that keep on giving(or taking). You just can’t quit upgrading them!
Talk about "Flashbacks" We used to have a small but sanctioned drag strip about 10 miles from my home. Our friends lived with in a mile and we would go over there on Sundays (Race days) and the sounds were great. I went to the track many times. Thank you, great video.
Would love to see more videos on the car. I have one myself that I’m doing a 442 clone minus the 4 speed. I’m getting ready to put it back on the frame this summer.
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 I'm not surprised. Just don't follow Dp's lead and you should be ok. Take her to dinner now and then, she's definitely earned it. Lol
Get'r done . Drive it while saving money to build a big block with a great sounding cam similar to the cam now . You can't out run a police radio , drive like you have a brain , but enjoy the sound of the cam . You'll have people turning to see what is sounding ' NASTY ' . Hell a lot more fun . Tickets Suck .
Now we're talkin!!! AB: "All right guys.., my project comin up it ain't near as big as Dirt Perfects... LOL What do you mean not as big? What would a guy rather look at.., a dump truck being built or a muscle car revival??? From where I'm sittin, lookin at something in the dark, it sounds nasty.., that looks like, maybe..., could be, not sure... a 68 or 69 Chevelle...???? Not as big? I say it's bigger! Who don't like a real old school killer muscle car ? I might be getting ahead of myself but I bet a lot of folks would love to see you take this on and do a full resto-mod build over the next year, it would make for some great videos...a welcome change. If this car has good bones, its well worth the effort, if its a true SS.., the sky is the limit, you can pretty much get any piece of sheet metal or interior part for this car. Whatever it is , whatever your plans are.., I can't wait 👍👍 luvs it
It’s a 71 olds 442 with a true gm 350 bored 30 over BUT my dream car is a chevelle or 67-69 Camaro or a 69-72 C10 that’s what I really want I bought this just as a side hobby to get it going you will just have to stay tuned to see what happens thanks for watching 🤙🏻
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 Wowsers! Not just an Olds but An Olds 442, another true muscle car, nothing wrong with that. Can't wait to see it in the daylight..
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 That would be the icing on the cake but you can still make some serious HP with a 350 small block , turn it into a streetable 383 stroker, probably run high 11's - early to mid 12's in the 1/4 and that's very respectable for a 2 ton door slammer
So.....You’re a car guy. Now that we know that the flood gates can open. My profile picture to the left is my pro street Chevy LUV. 406 with a 400 trans, 9 inch narrowed to fit 31X15X15 Hoosiers. I have a 1969 M35A2 know as a Deuce and a half. I have a 1974 C30 with zero rust with the factory 454 and 400. Daily is a newer Tundra. I keep my Tundra completely stock down to the rims, I have a habit of starting to modify my vehicles and never stopping, daily needs to be left alone. I am actually looking to trade uff the C30 for a small block Vega.
Well KO I’m actually a 1969-1972 C10 short wheel base 2 wheel drive truck kind of guy they are just really hard to find around here😟 car wise it’s a 1967-1969 camaro for me just wanted something to tinker around with
Ooooh - not only the LT Dan - you allso have a general maybe Lee ? xD Couldnt here a lot - but what i could hear sounds great xD Nice shorrty Aaron Like allways - greetings bud ;-)
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 So much less money chev vs Olds. I used to race Olds in the 80's went broke then too$$ now It's even worse. had to harass you sorry don't take it personal. but there's nothing like feel of 650 foot pounds of torque trying to twist a 1969 Hust olds or cutlass body in half. Shivers. If you ever get the chance to do so drive it. Its on forgettable
I don't know I seeed a move on that there TV thingy that jumped em cars over creeks n rivers ...I ain't seeed that there TV movie in a while ... thinking they called 'emselves the Dukes of Hazard.
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 Well dont let that stop you man, i have a midget buddy that just uses a Chicago phone book to sit on , that sum bich is almost 6 inches thick,,,,,,,haha
These cars were sadly underpowered. Its sad to say but some of the Camaros and Mustangs from the 70s and 80s would be beaten by a 2021 Honda Accord.Still cool cars though.
Man I hate that but oh that sound a 350 bored 30 over with a little cam makes that right there makes up for the difference lol 😆 and that all metal I love that to and the smell when it’s setting there loping
