Oh god yeah! Mattingly's HR against Seattle in that LEGENDARY 1995 ALDS is one of the GREATEST moments of that stadium's history! Sierra had just hit a HR to tie it. I remember Gary Thorne saying "Here's Mattingly. The fans want a dinger out of him." Then, on a 1-0 pitch mattingly ripped on into the bleachers and Gary Throner screams "THIS ONE BY MATTINGLY, OOOOH HANG ON TO THE ROOF! GOOOOOOODBYE HOME RUN!" Fans littered the field with garbage. Piniella pulled his team off the field. lol
Nobody should get mad at you for the Arod clips from 2009. Like it, or not, Arod had been a Yankee for 10 years, and although he's had a number of failures, criticism, dram etc etc etc, there's no denying HE was the reason they won it all in 2009. Arod was HUGE in that postseason. 18 RBI's and 6 Hr's don't lie.
There should be more of Reggie!!! In the 1978 one game play-off w/ Boston, it was his home run that was the difference in the 5-4 NY win. Bucky Dent gets all the glory, but Reggie's homer was the difference. He also carried that team so many times. Just saying...
