you might find that region was close the the first to forge steel, Mesopotamia first the melt the ore Germany among the first to use hi carbon and forging, of course who truly knows right? its possible like Eygypt had ore smelting in the day, they certainly had all they needed to do so, evidence of some sort of hi tech tooling for boring stone so forth? hmm... be cool the have a time machine an go back to that very week, or so the first guy dunnit, wonder if he burnt themselves along the way? i know the tribes suffered from black lung breathing all that smelting crap..
