I’ve been saying this for 3 years, this would’ve been the most popular spike if the shoe had more stability and fly wire in the upper because it was so loose even with a tight lacing system Every complaint seems to be answered

What’s the word on the durability. Will they last 2 seasons like a pair of dragons flys will? My concern with the last gen was that they always fell apart super early.

This Like dragonfly fr lasted 2 seasons, but I don’t think it will last more than one season tbh old victory really does not last at all

@@robinbauer1975 used it in like 3 practices, 11 races(7 meets) and the original white colorway had its plate detaching from the foam, the more recent colors don’t have that issue but the zoomx tears if you drag your foot between workouts

Yeah hopefully, my victories have only ever lasted about one season, and I mean like just indoor or just outdoor, not the whole year. It was never anything but the spikeplate splitting from the midsole foam though, so if they could fix that I am sold.

@@user-ul4ko7ys8l yes the forefoot is significantly elevated compared to the padded heel, which for those more inexperienced or out of shape could cause achilles tendon problems. same issue also with the maxfly buts ones a sprinters spike and the other is a mid distance spike so the mileage differs. not only that the zoom victory 1s are just simply know as a very not durable spike. hopefully with the 2nd iteration they can fix the durability and stability issues the first had along with a more grounded feel.

With less cushioning for the dragonfly, and looking at what all the pros are wearing. The dragonfly has no reason to he bought anymore AZV 2 is just better

I had problems with the victories wrecking my calves whenever I raced the 3200 in them since i was on my toes the whole race. Was this ever fixed?

Most likely with the plate being flatter and not as aggressive it should be better but not as good as the dragonfly

@@dimka11ggg because they like how it feels, they don’t think they need as much aggression and instead more energy return Really it’s preference on a spike, like me personally I love using victory’s in races but i adore using dragonfly’s in practice because they’re somewhat aggressive but very pillowy But also sometimes I’ll use a Nike superfly for the 800 on occasion for the aggression

should i use these or maxflys 2s for the 800. i currently run 2:08 using the orginial maxflys and theyre nice but im thinking bout getting these

Unless you are more of a sprint type athlete who likes the most aggressive spikes possible, I usually recommend true mid distance spikes like the Victory for 800 and mile. -Connor

Unless you are under about 1:50 in the 800, a sprinting spike like the mayfly is going to hurt you more then help you. Vic or dragonfly would be best

Disappointed to see there’s still exposed zoom foam on the heal. Massive point of durability failure. I have to replace my spikes basically every season because of it. Also the atom knit is not strong enough to lock down for tight fast turns like the indoor 800 or 400 (I’m aware it’s not a 400 spike but it should still be able to be ran in without your foot sliding)

The midsole at the heel is excesive AND completely innecesary for top athletes (victory Is for best athletes, not for startres). Next versión they Will dissapear this excesive😆😆 The spikes for tracción Is too elemetary, they can not say that they have studied the traction in athletes to make this chance. Spikes in Nike have years of experience AND analysis. The have already studied it. Did not they studied it in the last version????😩😩

They literally have the best spikes in all of track and field. Just look at every medal table from the ncaa all the way up to the Olympics. If I remember correctly the dragonfly took more medals than all the other brands combined in the long distance races at Tokyo.

@@nukahina384 yes, for racing. I just wanted to share my feedback to Mr. Elliot about the rest of the shoes in the Nike lineup: they make a lousy job. Nike runs at 10 mins / km, the rest of the industry is at Eliud Kipchoge's pace. Just maybe a wakeup call. P.S. I am a casual runner and work in IT. I have no affiliation with any running brand.
