225g Butter

My partner loves lemon muffins, I think I will use this recipe and muffin mould to steam-bake them! I always use erithritol instead of sugar and works great.

Made the cake and 🎉🎉🎉 the first successful cake I have ever made! Love the taste and texture. Only my son commented that he feels like having a heartattack because of the amount of sugar and butter. He ate it anyway 😂

What I love about treacle sponge is the it’s so easy to make. Pressure cooks really well. Can always swap out syrup for jam etc. I don’t have a sweet tooth but my husband really does!!

Hi! This looks amazing and want to try it, I notice though after you put the caster sugar into the mix you added some more golden caster sugar, this isn’t mentioned in the recipe. Do I need this and how much? Thank you

The cake looked yummy. I have saved your previous incarnation from a year ago which was gluten free, to make for my gluten free friend. Not sure if this version was as you didn't say and didn't add any xantham gum. I'll be making BOTH versions 😀

This was made with regular flour for the boys in my life. Oh yes I do have a gluten free version baked in the oven- you are an OG if you’ve seen that!!

The bottom was soggy after doing it at 160 & for 25 minutes with 700m of boiling water?

Hi, Did you use a metal cake tin? Silicone moulds don't conduct the heat as well and can give a soggy bottom - just wondering what you used?

Hi, not directly as the mixture is too liquid and would escape through the holes. You could put a small tin inside it though

@@susannahskitchen Hello. I’ve tried this recipe last night and the cake came out really great. I didn’t use any baking powder and it was still fab! I would say that the cake probably tastes even better today. Thank you for taking the time to film this for us!

Do I put the cake in the ninja while it is heating up? Mine took at least 20 mins to heat up. Thanks

Hi, yes put it in and it’s will show PRE whilst the steam is building. It’s part of the process. It can take a while!

Hi. loved the drizzle cake, really soft and light, my only question would be, the cake was slightly sticky on the bottom, would it help to bake for a couple of minutes longer? Loving all your recipies, cant wait to try the xmas ones,

Hi, I never just straight swap wheat flour for gluten free. I find the results are very different. I haven’t tested a gluten free cake in the ninja so I can’t really guide you. It will be trial and error
