Dragonlord ate Casey and April, and the turtles were too busy dogging on Venus for no reason to notice or care. That's why they aren't in the show.

"I have no idea what I'm doing." That pretty much sums up all of the dumb decisions any of the characters have made in this show.

So Dragonlord has just completely morphed into Rita Repulsa at this point, complete with the whole headache thing, a gag that Saban didn't even come up with themselves!

Leo thinks they need a battlecry... Did he forget "Turtle Power"? Well, if that doesn't work, he can always try yelling "COURAGE!" That should solve everything.

Poor Phelous, he's slowly losing more of his sanity with each episode.

They had an awesome battle cry in the ‘87 series. “Turtles fight with honor!” will never be topped.

You joke about the sword reflecting the beams, but that's probably the most the Turtles have used their weapons throughout this entire series

Dragon Lord's transformation into Wiener Lord then Weenie and finally back into Dragon Lord is one of the most gripping character arcs in all of fiction.

The sad thing about this series is, it has interesting ideas that could work if it were given to more competent people. Flesh eating dragons, vampires, and monster hunters? On paper it sounds like the makings of a good, animated, action series aimed at teens and young adults, not a stupid, live action, comedy aimed at small children.

So, Dragonlord gets his faction taken over by his second-in-command with little to no resistance? And he gets renamed to WEENIE?! How is this guy supposed to be a threat!?

This entire show just seems like an awful fanfic written by a guy who first heard about Ninja Turtles last week.

I liked the brainstorming of this episode: the two different clans show two different versions of struggling to be a leader. Of course, when the two leaders combine for roughly ten brain cells, it kind of stops being good for anything.

"We're fantastic, never panic," is a legitimately slapping beat that is INSTANTLY killed by following it with "Na Na Na Na Ninja."

That toilet is the perfect symbolism of where this show went to.

Let's see what wacky adventurers the "I HATE SPLINTER" turtles are up to.

The weenie censors were because of Ricardo Montalban from Freakazoid."Don't say the weenie word!"

Remember when Dragonlord was supposed to be a great evil we were supposed to be afraid of? I think the writers just gave up on that at this point.

"Maybe if everyone would have fought, instead of standing around looking like nitwits, we wouldn't have lost!" But we did that then the Next Mutation might have something resembling an interesting fight scene and we wouldn't want that now would we.

I must say, this is genuinely the first episode so far that has been physically painful for me to watch. And so far we've seen the Turtles joke around beside Splinter's deathbed, Michelangelo expose his family to the police and the general public, and Bonesteel become a chair. Truly, this is a feat.

"I'll go talk to Leo. [turns to left] Leo!" Could have been a funny joke, if they had actually intended it as a joke. I'm surprised there was no callback to Kip's "Ya buncha WEENIES" line in this episode.

Is this just Saban pushing back against the whole "Power Rangers is too violent" thing that parents were on? Is that why the Turtles are a bunch of whimps who never use their weapons competently?

Either the writers hated the show so much that they sabotaged it at every opportunity, or the higher ups kept playing musical chairs with the team. Both would explain the inconsistent character personalities.

There is a skit from Snuff Box (unfortunately not one of the ones on youtube) that perfectly encapsulates British television censors where they're laughing at a violent home invasion but then rate it inappropriate when the killer shoots their dog. British TV censors/ratings boards are notoriously asinine and questionable.

“What a swinger!” returns! It’s been a while since Venus got some typical English saying wrong as a lame form of comedy!...Yay?

This is just painful. Dragon Lord in this episode is pretty much how I feel about the whole series.

In penty of fiction, science and magic goes hand in hand. As far as I'm concerned early magic was nothing more than science most people didn't understand. If Donnie was such a brain, he'd be working harder at figuring a way to scientifically observe and measure magic.

Y'know even though this was before Pokemon, one of the Turtles announcing their special technique and after it connecting announce, "It's SUPER EFFECTIVE" wouldn't be outta the ordinary for this show.

I like the Wick puppet. Kinda sad that this is probably the only episode where someone becomes kiiinda badass...?

Honestly, possessed magic bullshit Wick constantly calling Dragonlord 'Weenie' made me laugh, mainly due to the enthusiastic delivery, and the relentlessness of his pettiness. The damn Hero Turtles episode's got squat.

Idk what it is but I just love the random things you decide to zoom in on while making that mocking voice or when you repeat a part over and over again. It's simple but it cracks me up everytime.

I like that in this reality Leonardo goes from reading textbooks on hunting in record time for no real gain, down to reading 25 page booklets that literally make him dumber. Words apparently are his kryptonite.

I have to congratulate the writting team of this Ninja Turtles series, whenever I think the show hitted rock bottom the following episode sinks even lower. Amazing.

Once again this show proves that the other children’s series about ninja that Kirby Morrow (RIP) starred in was a 100 times better. Yes, even Season 11 of Ninjago is better than this entire series.

The only person who could actually get away with announcing themselves as "the leader/ in charge" is Dr. Robotnik.

The Wikipedia describes Leo as finding new ways to learn how to combat enemies, if it was completely honest it would have said: finding new ways to say “I don’t want to do my job!”

The train promotion video, Turtles Forever, the concerts, the damn Michael Bay movie, none of it was anywhere close to being this embarrassing.

I think this episode makes a good case as to why Leonardo should have more of a personality than just “leader”. It can easily be used as a storytelling crutch when they don’t know how to tell a story with him

You know they had a sort of similar plot in an episode of Darkwing Duck. Darkwing was forced to follow tips from a Manuel while fighting Amonia Pine. In the end Darkwing rips out the book pages to clog up her evil vacuum cleaner. Now Darkwing is also somewhat of a less than smart character but at least he really thinks of clever ideas often where as this version of Leonardo just holds up his sword and lucks out that it helps him beat the bad guy. It’s pretty amazing that even Darkwing Duck is smarter than this version of Leonardo!
