In my neck of the woods.... I live I Sturtevant. I also run a small railroad museum that is located Thai located next to the CPKC/ Amtrak mainline in sturtevant. Hopefully the next time you roll with Tim, it won't be such a PTA! Also, just for better camera footage, May I suggest that your forward facing camera should be placed inside the cab so it's clean footage without any rain droplets on the lens. Ran this past weekend behind two different long haulers carrying wind mill blades. Their solution was simple, they used two pilots back and one very well lit front. The two rear pilots blocked all lanes and no one went around..... ten miles at 30 MPH. They did a good job.

That yacht delivery was a great experience for you all involved. What a fantastic job you all did considering the awful weather conditions and poor visibility. When you get that light bar on the dually you'll be well set-up for the other 4 boats that are still to come. Had a Western Star that had a lot of wild issues because of a damaged main wiring harness. It's first few months , spent a lot of that time down and in the shop where the whole main harness had to be pulled and replaced.

I think I would go with a regular pick-up truck or full size SUV as my pilot car. I'm not sure that the bigger bulk of the 3500 for blocking would be worth the stiffer ride, worse mileage, & higher initial cost plus expenses later.

So glad I missed you guys going through downtown and I feel for you, it's bad enough trying to drive around in there in a car. Unfortunately I can't think of a better way to the marina than how you went, everything's really tight. Hope ya stopped for a kringle or 3 on the way out though, one of those makes the headache worth it. Thinking on that perfect rear escort vehicle, your pickup is probably the best for it aside from maybe the next step up like an F750. It's wide enough to take up 2 lanes, heavy enough a semi doesn't really want to mess with it, having a covered bed lets you carry extra stuff, and it's got enough gas to go all day.

Steve, forst congratulations on 100,000 I have been here since 29,000. You asked for suggestions for the rear escort, or escort in general. You truly have the perfect platform for one, about tje only suggestions I might make... would be a back rach w/a full size lightbar. If you are going to utilize that wide load sign off the trailer hitch, I might add either strobe or LED hideaways in the tail lights red and white facing reward is legal to run in most states, or perhaps LED strips that run from the tjree marker lights center of tailgate to the right and left of. The lightbar on the rack would be low profile and the hideaways and strips wouldnt make the HEMI look gawdy. BTW nice pull start was it done in 2 or 4?
