Lol GT-R never crushed competition, if by anything, it's all staged to make it stands out against high spec foreigner cars This shows favors their skylines, Honda & Mitsubishi Evos, so they will do anything to not make them look good, it makes me wonder how much some of the drivers are paid to get to do this
It didnt exactly crush the competition when it was new but it did perform well alongside its competition with supercars when its first debut years. No doubt the R35 was definiteley an insane car when it debuted in its first few years. The fact it was able to perform a bit slower against some top supercars like 458 italia, C6 Zr1, Gallardo Superleggera, (not gonna name all top supercars around the era of the r35 first few years) with around 1/3 of the price of the top supercars. Only downsides to the R35 was the weight and it was just carried by its electronics that only made it fast and this basically makes the R35 not good for long races cuz its weight puts massive strain on tires when driving fast. It didnt really have great qualities compared to its supercar rivals cuz the R35 was meant to be a decently reliable extremely fast sports car with more than 2 seats and decent interior space but at the same time very quick for its price. The R35 wasnt really a proper supercar or just isnt a supercar in general to begin with. Only reason why it was fast cuz of its advanced electronics and nowadays its just outdated even with the latest R35 cars to the point even a Mustang GT350r beats it which also isnt a supercar like the R35. Simply nowadays the R35 is not living up as it did when it newly debuted. Heck, even the Carrera in this vid which had 100 less hp beat the r35 by 1 sec in Tsukuba. Also keep in mind this Porsche in the vid is LITERALLY just the Carrera version not the Turbo version or the GT3 and GT2 version .
This 4s is amazing! In Germany we have a little Upgrade kit for this 700hp 900hp or 1100hp and the Engine is stock no roods no pistons or something! Best Engine that Porsche build!
A 911 turbo should have been used instead given the cost and power of the NSX/GTR and it would have beaten both. The fact that that basic 2 wheel drive Carrera S with less power can keep up shows how superior Porsche is! It also put down the fastest lap!
Gtr nismo would have probably beaten Porsche turbo. Just goes to show you how much better Japanese engineering is. A big all utility sports car can rival a light sports car made especially for this kind of racing.
@Ed Rod lol maybe in 2009. Not now. Even a cayman gt4 is faster than a GTR nismo around a track. Nissan stagnated while Porsche does what Porsche has always done. Refine and improve.
I'm sure the NSX is a lovely road car, but it's gotten so fat ... Not for the track. Not only does it disappoint, but it will cost so much to run it on the track. Think of the tires and brakes this thing goes through.
When you realise the NSX is literally £250,000 while GT-R is around £80,000... The GT-R still is amazing value, and still compares to cars 3x more expensive or more.
@@K0well and for the 4s Not! Upgrade whit a stock Engine is 700-1100hp and you dont need to open the Engine! And 300-400kg less then the gtr! For me only porsch
@@Chicken_cocknballsoup7376 Jdm fanboy at it’s finest😂 Porsche come out with new development all the time meanwhile Nissan is selling their overpriced ancient gtr with terrible reliability
Can't turn the driving aids off all the way and they are very intrusive when they activate. I'm guessing this is due to the hybrid systems but I'm not an engineer and haven't driven one.
@@rdmz135 911 from part 1 was also lighter than both cars so they could’ve just used that too here. Issue isn’t about giving Porsche a better chance it’s to not make the Japanese cars look overly outmatched.
Production ceased 2022. Not much to mourn. The old NSX slayed because it set new standards for super cars. It was set up by Senna and it showed. This NSX seems to not know what it is and also lacks refinement. Another reason people shy away from hybrids.
The nsx is easily the most comfortable out of those three, and it hurts lap times unfortunately. The problem is the nsx is the lack of trims.. It's been one trim for all of its life. The GT R has the premium, track, Nismo, etc. The 911 has like a million trims lol. The nsx needed a base model, a sport model, a type s, and a type r. Otherwise it's too focused on ride comfort and it can't be fast that way.
@@iforyou that's what i want to hear when we speak about a "sportcar". Ohh but this is the most comfortable.... Dude... :D This NSX is a car which should not be called NSX in the first place. Second then not call it a sportcar when you want to make a comfort car. (Btw the Turbo S is way more comfortable and more luxury and the build quality is not even in the same century)
@@iforyou The 911 was only a Carrera S, not even a GT3. It's an embarrassing result for the two Japanese cars really, especially when they are both supposed to compete with the 911 Turbo S in theory. 😐
