Nayyar Sahib brings back to minds the Golden Era of Hindi films when this tall and handsome composer would rule the roost with the spectacularly mesmerizing music he lent to the songs that left one and all film-buffs stunned with his rhythms including movies like Baaz, Aar Paar, Mr and Mrs 55, C.I.D, Naya Daur, Tumsa Nahin Dekha, Howrah Bridge, Do Ustad, Choo Mantar, Raagini, Naya Andaz, 12 O' Clock, Jaali Note, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina, Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon, Mere Sanam, Sawan Ki Ghata, Baharein Phir Bhi Aayengi, Hamsaya, Dil Aur Mohabbat, Mohabbat Zindgi Hai ,C.I.D.99 and Qismat all the songs in these films were outstanding-Aanchal mein saja lena kaliyan, Aankho se jo utri hai Dil mein and title song of 'PWDLH, Bahut Shukriya badi mehrabani, Aap yunhi agar hamse milte rahe, .Hamko tumhare ishq ne from EMEH, Tukde hain mere dil ke, jayiye aap kahaan jayegen and Yeh hai reshmi zulfon ka andhera-Mere Sanam, Leke pehla pehla pyar, Ae dil hai mushkil-C.I.D and so on still ring in the ears of film-goers. I am senior and love OP Nayyar music and still love him and his music, by grace I have his all type of his music songs movies and Pvt album and enjoy my old age. - Thanks to Nag Rao Sir for making all these possible.

What he has said is very true. Ashaji never mentions OP in her interviews. She gives all the credit only to RD. Yes, I admire RD but OP had been an inseparable part of her music career. So everyone has the feet of clay, even the legends like Ashaji. Need not say anything about her singing talent, it prevails all the time for eternity, irrespective of the Music director if its RD or OP. My favorite by OP- Asha is Aaj Koi Pyaar Se & Chain Se Humko Kabhi and also Chhotasa Balama Akhiyan Neend Churaye Le Gayo.

I feelings are exactly the same for OP Nayyar. His music was so different and mesmerising. I was 7 years old when I became his die hard fan in 1957 and there was no looking back. There can never be another OP Nayyar ; his music will always be remembered and cherished.
