Thank you for this recipe. I like the oil-free aspect very much. Two things I do with your hummus is set some aside in a bowl, put Italian spices in the hummus to taste and thin with a little water into a super creamy hummus and now you have an oil free creamy Italian dressing to enjoy on your salad. I have also put in the extra garlic, some nooch, and chop some green onions and now I have a substitute for sour cream on my baked potato. Delicious.

Loved getting to see you in the making of the video! My husband is a huge fan of all your recipes I have made him. Thanks so much for making great “men” recipes! It helped him go plant based and he’s lost 55 lbs and dropped his BP...❤️

I whip up the aquafaba first till it becomes nice and thick and foamy. Then I add the chickpeas and everything else. That way, it doesn't separate in the fridge and stays creamy and smooth.

I love making fresh hummus. I have never tried it without tahini, but will after watching your video. Also, try roasted a head of garlic in the oven, and then add it in to the hummus. Talk about WOW good! Last thing, if you want roasted red pepper hummus it is so much cheaper and healthier to roast your own red peppers. The ones in the jar usually come packed in heavily oiled brine. It takes nothing to do them at home. Just a couple tips.

I have been making my hummus like this for years. I am allergic to sesame so I had to find a way to make hummus without the tahini. Seeings I eat hummus everyday it was a necessity. Glad to see you use same recipe. I do use more cumin , I love the taste of it.

I'm growing celery this year, I've discovered that I like celery leaves, since the stalks are not fully grown, I could not wait, so eating the leaves, celery leaves probably would be good in this mixture?

Congratulations on making a healthy change in your life. It does not matter if other humans approve or criticize. You changed your life for the better in many ways. It takes a strong person to be vegan, stick to your convictions. I became vegan over twenty years ago, am the only vegan in the family, and I am still going strong. Peace and love.

There's a trick using raw garlic, let the minced garlic marinate in the lemon juice for 15 minutes before finishing the recipe. Also, I always use fresh lemon.

You can use cold water instead of you don't want to use aqua faba. You might just need to stir it back into the hummus before use, as it tends to separate out a bit.

@@jackiesibblis3793 It depends on the brand you use. I live in Europe, so our brands are different, but if you shop around you should find cans of chickpeas in water alone with nothing else added. You might have more luck with the organic brands.
