The song made this scene all the more amazing. Seriously though, HATS OFF to the music director of the show. It gave me some of the best songs till date that hold so many memories that i can't let go
The songs in this show were/are and always will be golden the musical director was incredibly gifted and talented placing each and every song where it fit perfectly.

everything leading up to this scene was beyond frustrating. we ALL knew he still loved Peyton. lindsay would have made the biggest mistake by marrying him.
My mind was blown when I found out the entire show hinges on the moment the car logo is shown. I can remember watching the beginning of the show trying to figure out what kind of car that was.
I've said before, I'm glad the writers didn't go with making Lindsay a bitch we could all easily hate. She was a good person who loved someone who just happened to be in love with someone else. He loved Lindsay but he wasn't IN love with her.
I'm glad she didn't marry him. Not because I'm a Leyton fan, but Lindsay deserves to be married to someone who actually loves her unconditionally. Lucas loved Lindsay but not like that. The whole marriage would have been based on a lie, if it wasn't for Peyton leaving her shawl on her car, Lindsay never would have known Lucas's book was all about his love for Peyton. She knew as soon as that happened that Lucas was still in love with Peyton and couldn't go though with the wedding, Lucas only wanted to go though with it is because Lindsay was there to try and help him move on even if he didn't love her the same way.
Forget the Emily/Rachel moment on Friends! This wedding scene kills that scene in the realm of “Holy S@it” moment! Was so perfectly placed and made so much sense! Who would’ve remembered her car was the Comet before this episode! Wow! WTF! Holy S@it”
Lucas deserved this. I feel bad for Lindsay. I know she is gonna be heartbroken over Lucas not really wanting her and leaving him at the altar even though she shouldn't.
Ill never forget watching this on live tv. The original song was Never Tear Is Apart by INXS but they had a copyright issue and they had to change to this song for reruns of the show
And the boy saw the comet and he felt as though his life had meaning and when it went away he waited his entire life for it to come back to him- Lindsey.
Believe it or not it was Lucas fault that his relationships failed he can't blame Peyton or anyone else because he was in love with her and breaking other ppls hearts and leading them on so peyton was just as much of a victim minus the fact that she was rude to Lindsey
Neither was bad or the victim. At first Peyton didn’t want to admit she liked Lucas and wanted to pretend like it was just physical. Lucas knew he liked Peyton but instead of being patient he moved on to Brooke. Brooke knew she ain’t have no business being with Luke - that was Peyton’s guy. Luke liked Brooke a lot but it was escapism. He could have fun and not confront his true emotions. Then later when Peyton told Luke “someday” he gets dramatic and takes it as a “no.” Now everyone knows Peyton is not the jump the gun person - she is guarded so she just needed time. He didn’t give that to her. They both had issues with time - Peyton wanted to go slow and paid the price for going too slow at times. Luke wanted to go fast and paid the price for his impulsivity.
@@andreamiller135I definitely don’t recall Lucas having fun with Brooke … he genuinely wanted to be with her and fought more for her than he ever did with Peyton. Lucas was about to marry another woman fully knowing how Peyton felt about him smh
@@HazelAmarie but he didnt marry her 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 and there was a comment that Lucas said to Hailey when he first started seeing Brooke that alluded to the fact that he liked her because she wasnt “wrapped up in her head” or something to that extent. Yes - he really liked Brooke. But for different reasons than he liked Peyton. And Brooke really liked him and as a result was really hurt but him but B. Davis always knew that boy’s heart was with P. Sawyer.

If seriously Lindsey had married Lucas, I would have literally never forgiven the writers for ruining Leyton, when I watched this episode, I was so relieved because Leyton was endgame!!!! Period!
No, Lucas is a good person too but the truth here is that when u love someone else and try to be in a relationship with someone u don’t love, it will always end with heartbrk unless u learn to love the other person which is not 100% guaranteed. In season 1, Brooke tried to take Peyton’s place in Luke’s life but ended up realizing that it was not possible n same thing Lindsey did bcos they all knew that Luke’s love for Peyton was beyond the regular love but they were in denial(they both wanted to be with Luke bcos he was a good person n he knew how to love a woman) unfortunately Luke’s heart only yarned for Peyton!
I think she understood the meaning of Lucas' book only after seeing Peyton's car on her wedding day. She may have had doubt about him being over Peyton early in their relationship but Lucas reassured her, then it hit her that he had written a whole book about her and the meaning is basically that he will always love and wait for her.
Yeah it didn't hit her until she saw Peyton's car that he is still in love with her. Lucas told Lindsay the book was about a comet just a plain simple comet, not about a car driven by the girl he's still madly in love with
The thing with Lucas was Peyton broke his heart so many times. Lucas was afraid of opening his heart to Peyton because he thought she would break him again. Lucas has a history of throwing himself into the wrong relationship because he can’t except who he truly loves. But Peyton broke his heart so many times. One thing I really liked about the show is the way it showed the characters grow up. Along with the strong impact of a broken heart. Look at Nathan fighting himself on his feelings for Haley in season 3, after Haley broke him. Lucas in season 5 was actually similar to the way Nathan was after Haley went to New York. As for maturity, Yeah, the most obvious was Nathan’s Character development in season one. But there was so much growing and maturity with all the characters.
@@HazelAmarie It’s ridiculous but it’s also human. When you’ve had your heart broken by someone to want to run from your feelings. It’s the saying, the best way to get over someone is to start dating someone else.

I like Lucas as character but in relationship he is a count. He breaks Brooke's and Lindsey's hearts and it is not right. He plays everytime with feelings.
So instead of saying we need to talk in private after she sees the car she decides to confront right before the I do in front of everyone 🙄 I never felt bad for her much especially when she kind of forced the proposal too
Same here! That forced proposal was so cringey when I first saw it. She pretty much gave the dude no choice. She was threatening to leave while holding the damn ring...that she found by snooping. Who does that? "I'm going to leave you. But I found this ring. And I would've loved to be the small town coaches wife. Feel sorry for me. I know you love Peyton still. But just marry me instead and bury those feelings." She was just sooo desperate and it wasn't a good look for her. She was already the outsider...but she knew the history because of the first book Lucas wrote. She knew she didn't stand a chance when she saw Peyton was back.
She only realized that the car was a comet, like in the book, at that moment, you can see it on her face. She wanted him back after because Lucas kept telling her that she was the one he loved, so eventually she thought that maybe she had made a mistake.
@@mourngirl6868 Lucas might have said that but she knew that he wasn't in love with her so she never went back to him. Lucas only said that Lindsay was the "only one he loved" so he could have lindsay back to help him move on, or else it would have been Lindsay he asked to go with him to Vegas
She always realises about how much she loves lucas wen he's with someone else and then people call lucas a bad guy she somehow always get away with the fact that it's her messing around
It’s not Peyton’s fault that Lucas was still in love with her and wrote another book about her while with somebody else...although I do agree that she has messed other things up, this was indirectly her fault, but more Lucas’.

not really. she didn't know he was in a relationship when she first moved back - she only found out when they first saw each other again. they both had terrible timing though.
Ok that is not true lol she always loved him. They dates in season 4 so she didn't just randomly start to love him whole he was with someone else. Same with Brooke in the 1st season, Lucas wanted Peyton and Peyton was having feelings for Lucas and she just happened to feel the same way when he started to date Brooke. She always loved him, not just because he was in a relationship with someone else
Peyton seem to want Lucas when he was in a relationship lol. I love them don't get me wrong but they had so much drama. The show was focusing too much of them. It got better when they left.
no. peyton came back for lucas & she didn't know he was in a relationship. she regretted not saying yes to him when he proposed to her...honestly he came out of nowhere and proposed to her i would have done the same thing. & peyton didn't say no to him she just said someday
Peyton has always loved Lucas him being in a relationship had nothing to do with it, he is her ex boyfriend so obviously she would still be in love with him whether he is in a relationship or not
