Thank you so much. I never would have got my vacuum back together if not for your video a couple of rings fell off of it when I was emptying it and I didn't know where they came from. Thanks to your video I found out the red ring and a gray ring were from inside the bin. Also from your video I now know. I had to put some effort into reinstalling them as they did not just sit in place. There are slots in both the red ring and gray ring that have to be lined up inside the dust bin and then snapped back into place. Thanks again!!!!! Update after more research I found out that the red ring dries out with age and has to be replaced. I ordered it on amazon and I don't have to replace the entire bin thanks to already learning from your video.

Same problem but out of warranty so dyson provided no help. The trigger failed through normal use. I guess quality is no longer a dyson prerogative. Thanks this fixed it.

Cheers mate. Very helpful. Stopped me from chucking the thing out the window. My wife’s hair clogs the thing up and loosens the seals when I pull it out but she doesn’t fancy going skinhead.

Thank you for this video. As others have said I had a terrible time getting the canister’s red ring back on. Now that I did watching your video, I’m having a new problem. When putting the canister back on, the red ring and the silver snap on cover fall off when passing through the silver seal on the vacuum. Any hints as to what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks for the video. Only thought is that at 13.00 mins brute force is not the way. The outer housing needs to flexed over the air inlet. So flex not force.

Hi, I cannot get the bottom ring off the bin cannister. Your video shows it is so easy, but it just won't budge, there appears to be some lugs holding it firmly. Any help greatly appreciated.

Great video! At 12:33 that part your are removing, I removed the 3 screws and I can’t get it off, there’s tons of dirt I’m pulling out but it won’t come off…. Any tips please?

I accidentally dropped my canister because the plastic thing that’s supposed to keep it from sliding off broke, and a spring fell out, along with the red handle and the lid. I put them back together without the spring since I hadn’t realized yet, but now the canister wont come off. How would I take it off, and where would the spring go?

Guys I have had a ninja vacuum cleaner for four years and it completely snaps apart and back together for cleaning I am totally having buyers remorse watching these videos about the Dyson. I can only imagine that taking it apart like this is going to void the warranty. It is complete insanity to think this vacuum cleaner is so expensive but this is what you have to do to clean it properly?

Well our inner red seal fell out as it appears others have, but I wanted to mention that it was because one of the small (1mm or less) deep plastic tabs that keep the gray holding ring in place. So for those that have had this issue, double check that there aren't any broken tabs! Pretty ridiculous for a $600 vacuum.

My red trigger broke today, had the V11 for nearly 8 months now, I opened the battery part up and it became clear that the red clip that goes into a small rail attached into a spring mechanism does not align itself anymore into the groove. Not even sure how to fix that, but I'm going to let Bed Bath & Beyond know but likely will go through Dyson since the warranty is still in place.

What do I do if I can’t get the three screws out? I’ve practically stripped the first one and I’m afraid to try the other two? Dyson sent me a replacement main body and I must move the battery from the old main body to the new main body.

Finally! I vacuumed a used dryer and it left a smell in my dyson so horrid not even a new filter helped :( Hopefully a deep clean will solve this

You didn't disassemble the trigger assembly. After you take the battery out if u look down the handle you can see a little screw with a star bit. The red piece that attaches to the spring broke on mine so I'm trying to figure out how to fix it.

That hole in the inner filter cannister is actually a plastic clip. You can easily unclip it. Don't force pry it.

Why did you cut that wire? Will it still work? What’s the purpose of the wire?

My V 10 stopped working today so I rang Dyson. They told me that it needs a new motor and are posting one too me. I'm a bit scared as I don't know how to put it in and can't find a video on RU-vid.
