In this video I will go over the best fighter thrall stats and build to maximize damage. Melting enemies faster then anything I have ever seen before. This is not new with the Age of War chapter 2 update to Conan Exiles, I am just getting around to making a video about it.

Thugra and Ritualist share the same stats and modifiers with Cannibal Brute. They are each other's exact copies. And they all located in southern areas.

Yep though Thugra always look the same where Brutes and Ritualists vary in appearance and gender. Ah yes in case anyone wonders Thugra can be found at Thugra's Stand camp north of The Summoning Place. Ritualist can be found at the end of Riverwatch Camp north of Skulker's End.

I recently started a new playthrough and stumbled across Thugra and figured I'd tame him for the early levels, not expecting much. He did so good it prompted me to look online, wondering if I was missing something as to why he was SO strong. He's damn special lol. Hits like a freaking train.

@@plasmodesma7569 Same here. I lost a couple of throwaway thralls to a new glitch, and went hunting for a new thrall. Found Thugra and figured what the hell, I'll use him to grind some gear and grab a better thrall, but man, he turned out to be a beast. Now I just need a female version.

@@freddonoso2299 Just a heads-up, the preview of chapter 3 appears to undo the named Darfari supremacy of chapter 2. The new top-dogs are going to be the old top-dogs again; Cimmerian Berserker, Dalinsia Snowhunter, and the Relic Hunter spear weilders from purges (yes, purge thralls will be capturable in the next chapter).

They are only really good for low intensity fights such as 1vs1 and boss fights, having lots of damage doesn't matter when they get flinch killed by 3+ mobs. Especially when you equip them with a slow 2 hander. This is especially true of the silly purge now where anyone with less than 6k health dies in seconds.

They should also leave the size of thralls because when You knocking him out, he is almost double in size of You, and after the wheel of friendship they are going to be smaller.. that shlould be changed

The Brute is really brutal lol. I'm using it with an agility built and Skelos Cultist Armor, which also gives additional follower damage. The Brute itself gets the heavy dragon armor. Most of the time I'm just running around looting all the stuff my thrall kills :D

I always appreciate your valuable information you shared. Needless to say, many Conan fans have found the brute growth rate to be the most efficient/effective due to the reduction in the HP pool of thralls after the update. Thank you for sharing the character's attributes/equipment.

I run similar build for ages, but after update i use no strength or grit, but max Agi with roll . you can roll and do heavy for free ,than roll and free heavy again, etc . although most of time i run War party. it helps level 2 thralls at the same time and you know what they can and cannot do when they are not following you .

If you aren't doing corruption build and have an agility based Brute use the Stygian Soldier Armor for max boost. Then for Strength it is easy to use a full Guardian build 25% str dmg boost or mix and match with a Redeemed Legion Helm, Voidforged Dragon Ribs, Silent Legion Medium Gauntlet, Champion's Leggings and Guardian or Pictish Warchief Boots for 34% str dmg boost.

@@crustyandcruel Not really. They do pretty darn good damage with an agility based legendary. Like Baal-pteor's Razor, Black Dragon Pike or a Vaulting Pole and you still get to use that lovely melee modifier which is higher than the ranged. Similarly you can give a strength based bow like Derketo's Voice or Bessie's Bow to a thrall with really high strength and have them be a very good archer as good as their ranged modifier allows.

I've sworn by the Cannibal Brute for years. Easy to capture, easy to train, some of the best per-level stat gains in the game. All in all you get a thrall who's reliably the best mid tier or low high tier thrall with far less grind compared to Cimmerians or Children of the North

7:50 After leveling, a thrall has to take at least 1 hit, or else it won't eat another leveling food. You might be losing out on the +% bonus while it's stopped

I thought that was changed. Recently I've seen thralls take a bite of the first growth altering food you give them before even getting into a fight. Used to be you had to make them eat it.

@@freddonoso2299 They do eat the first you give them, yes, and that +% bonus applies to the first level-up, then it needs to be re-applied each level. And, you're also right that they removed making the player force-feed the food to apply the +% bonus again. Unfortunately these two factors come together to mean that the only way to reapply the +% bonus after each level-up means the thrall had to eat it themselves, and the only way they do this *after* first being handed the food, is to take damage and they'll eat the next food to heal that damage thus applying the +% bonus again. If they just keep leveling without taking damage (like auto-leveling with admin codes, or making them Stop while you engage some Unnamed City skellys) then they're not getting that +% bonus after that first level.

Wak, I have some questions maybe you can help with. Preface: I’ve been playing PVP for about a year now and am getting into the nitty-gritty on a play style that works for me. I currently use short, female characters as they can disappear behind things more easily, etc. I’ve found fairly accurate information on hit-boxes not changing between size, sex, etc, but not much else. Do you know, or have you tested, if there’s a difference between reach in attacking and climbing, ability to squeeze into smaller spaces, stride in running speed, etc, being affected by height? I’m currently running an agility/encumbrance build, as I often play solo against others. I’m looking for function and agility. Small is great, but reach and speed could have an impact. Thank you for all of your content.

I still use the Relic Hunter Treasure Seekers, it starts with 20 points of agility so I normally try to boost that or vitality. Then give them a agi melee weapon and a bow. For leveling I still just go down to the gorillas and kill everything but focusing on gorillas for a bit then head to Dead Mounds and kill Wrights or head to the city and start running the boss loop. By the time I get a combat thrall I normally throw dragon bone gear at it until I get better. Before getting a thrall I normally just use a horse and bow to kite or run through pets till I get a greater, normally a hyena or wolf because I have several skins for them.

Brute spawns is both to the right and to the left in this dungeon. Don't forget to read cooking book when you go to the left.

My Cannibal Brute ended up in agility too, but it doesn't seem to hurt her much. She has Cimmerian Steel buffed out with Musashi's black blade and hits like an asteriod falling. She can wipe a cimmerian berserker in one combo. at level 20 she has 4050hp only time she struggles is with multiple hard hitting opponents.

Cannibal brute is great and easy to find. When you need to take down a big target it's one of the best thralls in the game. Another great and useful thrall is Lianelle the dancer for traveling into corrupted areas. She has the potential for having the highest health for dancer and decent damage. Anisha the hidden daggers is a dafari dancer with the highest damage Modifier and can be found at the camp above skulkers end and at narrow neck span.

I'm told that, when a Thrall levels up, you get their % in a stat of them gaining one point in that stat (so 70% will give you a +70% chance, of course) then half that chance of a second point (so 70% would net you a 35% chance of a second point). What I've been wondering is... is it worth using food to push that stat up to 114%? Will that give you a 57% chance of gaining am extra point in that stat... does the extra % from food maybe even just add to the base stat, which would make it a 64% chance of a second point... or does the food modifier not work for the extra gain? The workings of Exiles can be a little mysterious.

I usually play a Yoggite and take a Brute or the Ritualist as a thrall. Mid to late game, they simply couldn't measure up and I always wished they could. So now I am loving this boost! They are still glass cannons, but totally viable now. Thanks for the video.

@@sibertiger17 They hit hard, but can't necessarily take the same sort of punishment themselves. They're a cannon (devastating weapon) but made of glass (easy to shatter).

They've given us a preview of chapter 3's thrall stats, and you might not like the results :( The old Cimmerian Berserkers and Dalinsia Snowhunters are at the top again. Named Darfari got kicked back down a few tiers. The slightly-bright side is, Relic Hunters (_specifically_ from the purge) that carry spears are going to be near the top as well. You might get lucky and find a skin tone that works for your themed play, then you can rename them as you'd like to fit the theme.

My VIP is Ansina Hidden Daggers. If I could only have one it's her. But I'm pretty sure my war party of two Brutes can kill Red Mother in under 30 seconds. Confirmed, 22 seconds. Includes my Brutes being knocked down twice.

I'm tempted to build an army of Cannibal Brutes for my upcoming level X purge, but I have a feeling that Cannibal Brute is going to be nerfed hard in the near future, because they have basically made most T4 fighter thralls obsolete.

Well, they don't really stack up against some of the lategame Thralls due to low base stats. With their low HP, they will probably get slaughtered by a purge.

Everyone thought that they were going to be nerfed with Chapter 2, but they weren't. (Wak made that exact comment about it in a video 2 months ago.) They've been the best thrall in the game for 3+ months already. Don't expect that to change for another 5.

Just turn the brutes into zombies. The dmg multiplier will go to that zombie and u can run around with 3 of them, without even have to lvl them up.

So... I been capturing thrall from the stormsick event. Those thralls are no joke. I got one storm sick warriors with 3k health at lvl 0.

Not sure that the cimmerian steel heavy is worth it since it will only provide a flat +140 health the entire time. Perfected Exile Heavy would have comparable armor value and give the extra 27.5% weapon damage bonus, which is just an additional multiplier for damage. (Can always min-max strength damage more with the redeemed legion helmet and dragonbone chest pieces for 32.5% strength weapon damage.)

@@lich8546 Armor shown in the video is crafted by a shieldwright. If you're lower than level 60 or struggling to craft hardened leather, then yeah, found cimmerian steel is the best option on thralls because it's the best damage reduction you can find. But that's not the case for players at max.

Perfected exile heavy give 25 percent bonus,not 27,5.And for maxing damage use medium legion gloves(+8 percent bonus)

@@Doberman290 Extra 2.5% for perfected exile armors come from the other stat. In this case, agility weapon damage bonus still contributes 0.5% bonus damage to strength weapons for each use of perfected heavy armor. Medium legion gloves would be a worthwhile addition, though. I didn't realize how close in armor value they were to perfected heavy armor. The damage reduction, ignoring grit, is 76.4% for the perfected heavy compared to 75.7% for the medium legion gloves.

Mix in some tier 3 or 4 bearers for high HP pools and you got yourself a good purge army. My bearers get anywhere from 8k-11k health

@@Doberman290 You can also hit the wiki and search fighter or archer. The fighter(profession) page has a list of all the T4 fighters you can open with tabs at the top of the list to change the order of the list. I use the melee damage to put them in order and then it tells me who I want to look for. It's also interesting that some fighters have a better damage modifier in ranged and some archers better in melee.

I ran 2 +str Brutes (war party) in optimal +str damage gear, potions, Momentums etc... their record on the Red mother was 7 seconds - but it usually takes about 20 due to her tilting herself at weird angles on the terrain. The only PvE situation I don't feel that they'd do well in is possibly the Scorpion Queen - I'm wary of poison after a bad experience with a Giant spider worldboss that ate a lvl 20 Cim Berserker I had... but that was a good few updates ago, before the boss nerf.

Champion of the Arena will kill fully leveled Brute/Thugra in 1000+ armor in several hits (armor piercing weapon), unless you provide stunlock

With fish and elixir you can get to 85% damage stacking strength armor it will kill all world boss’s in 10 seconds

Do you know the armor breakpoints for thralls? Would 200 armor be equal to 100 health? I was thinking the voidforge armor over the Cimmerian.

the fastest way to get exp is killing undead hyenas around arena, then head to little valley under thrugas camp and kill all rocknoses, and finally clear all spiders with spider boss.

darfari trio, teimos and sully. depends really of stat distribution chances - considering how easy it is to get them then such brute with such distribution chances i wouldn't even level. what i dislike abot brute is that in wild they are huge but after the wheel they become smaller ...

I use the Hanuman's Gada for a weapon for this thrall, it has 102 Damage and 45% penetration. Am I doing something wrong? Is the one you say better? Only different I see is that the Hanuman's Gada Sunder instead of breaking the armor. Should I keep it?

Brute is a decent starting thrall. And since they are easy to get, they are good for building a purge army. Tho, they have low HP, so many of them will likely die.

i got a brute with 35 str, all perk in hp (+35 vit). with well train he got 55 str and 85 vit. weapon is momentum.

As of the update this morning the un walkable floors bug is back. I can't move or command my thralls and all the hostile mobs are stuck in place as well.

Nice video. I started playing recently so am a little unfamiliar, but how what was the basis of this build? How did you get unlimited ammo and how does the thrall get half your damage taken?

Not sure about the ammo, but followers receiving half of your damage taken is one if the perks of the corrupted authority stat.

The bow is a special bow from sorcery that does not require ammo and you cannot use different ammo with it. The other questions are because of the corrupted perks which I did not go into detail about in the video. Actually the entire video is riddled with mistakes. 8 points in STR gives them 6.6% STR dmg bonus... You gave your thrall a 15% STR dmg food or potion to get to 21%... it's literally right there in your inventory.

Dragged Thugra back to base, took him off the wheel, Thrall must be placed on walkable floor! B13 and C13 is broken on the exiled lands so looks like I'll be rebuilding my entire castle somewhere else so I can place thralls again. Server restart didn't fix the floors either

Is there any chance that you can get a Canibal Brute from the new purge system on Siptah, i have a couple on exiles land, but i'm mainly a siptah player and would love to have a couple there.

No, but you should be able to summon a surge (from the center!? or something like that) and named darfari fighters will fall of the sky!

I always capture ritualists; they are easier to capture. You just clear out a couple of hyenas and you're left alone with the ritualist.

The absolute best fighter is the TIE Defender. It has shields, speed, and firepower.

5:38 didnt you and firespark do a video explaining that having the extra thrall was better than having the boosted thrall? so wouldnt two Brutes be better than just the one with extra stats? or were things changed since then?

@@sibertiger17 at this point i honestly dunno. but i'm gonna stick with 2 thralls as that lets me vary their weapons to get more debuffs on the enemy and just looks cooler.

@@darcraven01 I started with that when it was first released and was fun, but then everyone went crazy on the 20% bonuses if you went the other way so I tried it and they do seem way stronger...

I've been mixing Freya with momentum/ dragon bone heavy, and Relic Hunters with Musashi black blade and dark Templar heavy, lvled in agility using fish. Since the nerf on thrall vitality, that grit stat and decent health keep them in the fight longer when they can't all be following and recieving your bonuses. Brutes seem like the personal thrall choice, but for the pvp thrall pit mob, I still like Freya and RC

Stygian solder 3 from the purge catch the ones from round the table run them in well trained build with all the buffs and bonuses for strength roll the stats until they have 6k health and the rest strength and they well be better then this glass cannon you will be able to take them anywhere unlike this stupid thrall. (must run in well trained not war party as their stats are locked at 0, I know it sound like it wont work but test it and trust me. if you run with str corruption build its even better)

@@wak4863 I find the 6k hp makes all the diff, also only losing 2k hp max against thag is a big deal. you need know how to set them up right though. also, the brute is getting a nerf in the next update

This thralls are good against purge ? I think they don’t have enough hp. I use arena champion’s, vêtu strong damage and 10K HP :3

Yeah. The low HP is definitely concerning. But since they are very easy to farm, you can get a lot of them. Might send in some eng game thrall first to get aggro and then unleash brutes to deal big damage.

They usually start with 90+ strength growth chance and chance maxes at 100 so I do grilled steak to get their vitality chance up. Low vitality is the downside to these guys

They are squishy. That's the trade off, you get big damage scaling, but low HP

just feed them with steak when leveling.Later(on 20lvl) use elixir to get vitality perks.Its expensive way but all Brutes can be 4k+ hp

@@Doberman290 Pretty much all the lategame thralls start with 2+K HP, Purge fighters start with 3.6K HP. Yes, none have as high Str modifier as Brute, but late game thralls start with stats. So what you are looking at after leveling them up is that late thralls deal ~10% less damage, but have twice the HP.
