It appears that there are lesser 4 wheeled vehicles driving through bus lanes. They learned that they cannot easily get away from apprehension due to the size of their vehicle.

I understand that discipline is the main problem of many Filipinos but I think another reason is being stupid as well. Just look at the first rider, he doesn't have a license and yet he tried to break as many laws as possible instead of blending in like a real good driver and he won't raise any suspicion and can travel without any license (not that I recommend driving without one).

I’m glad that they’ve increased the fines, this is a good way to fund raise at the expense of Kamote Riders! It’s a win win situation. Hopefully they increase it again to a minimum of 10,000 pesos!

Rider running away should be arrested. If the bike does not belong to him and he has no ID then he has no reason to pay a $100 fine.

Since MMDA collected more fine this time they should invest on putting a solid line not just one line they should put double line since they dont want to put a concrete barrier and invest on proper signage so they wont have any more excuses…great work by the way guys…keep it up…

There is now a precedent for those who ran away. The 2 drivers who name dropped a Senator got away with 1st penalty instead of a higher penalty by using intermediary to surrender. The question now is - are intermediaries needed to surrender and get the lower penalty? How about those who got show cause order from LTO? The MMDA has created this scenario. This policy should be clarified and the one responsible for it must be sanctioned.

They must also put a yellow marking between the Bus Lane & the regular lane in areas where there's no physical barrier for identification.

Imagine wala na nga license tapang pa gumawa ng violation.. anong klaseng pag iisip meron yung rider na yun.

This is the problem that will really happen.... these violators will still not follow the rules... they will still do it but now they will get wilder in escaping because they do not want to pay the 5,000. So now it becomes even more dangerous for the police and other motorists. These violators license should have been revoked and banned from re-applying. It is the duty of these law enforcement to keep the streets safe. If they drive without a license then they should be banned from applying a drivers license and registering any vehicle. They failed to do it.

Opinion. Suggestion. To those who approach the violators, it would be better to have a printed sign saying to pull over at the far right side of the road for processing of their violation. This is to avoid 'palusot' and unnecessary traffic.

only in pinas, got a spotter on the overpass, traffice enforcers endangering their lives standing in between moving vehicles; getting in front of moving vehicles/violators to make them slow down/stop and good number of enforcers. pay rate is probably better than average and fortunately less or no corruption.

I’m a huge supporter of the bus lane and the larger penalties, but damn, it still hurts to see these people get caught knowing they’ll have to pay a ₱5,000 fine which for most, is a significant portion of what they make at all. Of course, it is their fault, but you can still feel bad for their stupidity.

Bus lanes are for buses, car lanes for cars, pedestrian lanes for normal people. Isn't that difficult to understand. That's why I don't get people sometimes.
