President Biden did the one thing I needed him to do: DEFEAT TRUMP. He’s now put the first Black woman on the Supremeless Swamp. He’s appointed more minority judges to the federal bench. Giving a self described “top cop” who spent years locking up poor single Black Mothers the historical honor of being the first Black woman VP, is embarrassing and shameful, but all of this is entirely unsurprising to anyone who knew who she was/is besides her identity. Michigan resident here. The 1931 law is not in force. It's not in force any more than a 1931 subdivision deed restriction that says you can't let Blacks move in. It might be on paper, but our Democratic Attorney General has said no one is getting prosecuted via that law under her watch. Now she's up for reelection in November. But until there's Republicans in charge, it's legal in Michigan. We're also a state where the people can end-around a useless Legislature, and put questions on the ballot without their help. That's why marijuana is legal here, enough people signed a petition and then voted for it to be legal. That's what we're hopefully going to do in November, codify RvW at the state level.

Here's hoping President Biden gets a chance to replace Justice Thomas before 2024 so that makes the Supreme Court 4 Liberal, 4 Conservative, and Roberts as the swing vote. That said, it shouldn't even be a 6-3 Supreme Court now considering the fact 4 of the Conservatives were appointed by Presidents who didn't win the popular vote in their elections!

It is just unbelievable. Too far and it is perhaps time to 'become woke' and recognise what Democratic inaction truly means. Just how managed is American culture when it comes to political party affiliation? Gun ownership statistics offer an interesting example in this regard. Cynicism makes me wonder how gun regulation would change if Democrats owned firearms comparable to Republicans. I hope I am being paranoid here, I do not like guns or their prevalence but then I have not examined exactly why I hold that view in the context of cultural instructions. What a betrayal by Biden, an anti abortion judge at this moment is unforgivable.

And it's not about demanding change from the people who are on our side already and yelling at them to work harder. It's about going out and demanding change from the people who are working as hard as they can to prevent us from having the things that we desperately need. That we are not getting any of those things is our own fault because we're not out demanding it every single day.

I can really feel your disappointment and pain. Many (not necessarily "most") feel that same sense of sadness and and/or betrayal. But to NOT vote, ensures that you and others remain vulnerable to the politicians (AND/OR political party) that passed whatever legislation, or co-navigated whatever tactic that helped to inspire your present voter's-apathy. A lot can change; by November 2022. And, if you CONTINUE VOTING, then these changes could be good legal-developments that are to your liking. Consider--also--that if the proven corrupt politicians that have been shown in the media passing (and trying to mass more) laws that are--solely--designed to take away YOUR CIVIL RIGHT and to "make you" NOT want to vote, then ask yourself, "WHY make them happy by actually not voting at all?" Because NOT doing it, is something that THEY WANT. And, it is something that THEY HOPE that you do: They want you to stay home, and not even cast any absentee-ballots either; because it KEEPS THEM EMPLOYED-AND-REGULARLY PAID, while many of the rest of the populace--regularly--worry about Employment and Housing matters. Please, ask yourself, "WHY WOULDN'T I exercise my Citizen's-Right to make such opponents un-happy? Any attempt by a state to recall a member of Congress is prohibited by the Federal Constitution. A vacancy in the office of U.S. senator or representative can be created only by the incumbent's death or resignation, the expiration of his term, or some direct action of the body (the Senate or the House of Representatives) which is empowered to expel members (Burton v. U.S. 202 US 344, at 369). There is no constitutional authority to hold a special election that would be required to fill a seat in the event a member was recalled. Article I, section 4 of the Federal Constitution relating to the time for holding a regular election and Article XVII of the Amendments on holding a special election only when a vacancy exists combine to preclude an election to replace a member of Congress who had been recalled. Federal constitutional provisions supersede any state recall procedures for these offices. Again, I urge everybody to watch an excellent HBO movie from 2016 called "All The Way" starring Bryan Cranston as LBJ about his fight to pass the civil rights act of 1964. And then compare that to Biden. It'll make you cry.

Where have these people been the last two years. Our capitol was literally under siege, at least half the country give or take isn't against what happened that day. The man who caused the attack is the lead of one of the parties and you think there is a way in hell that people would be safe if we polarize the country farther. We have MONEY to throw at other countries but the safety issues in our own country is a different issue. We know at least SOME of the Secret Service were in on J6, some of the security at the Capitol was in on it. Probably some members of Congress. Former generals have said we shouldn't trust the military on this. If you think someone on the genuine Left could win, you just live in this country. The only reason we survived Midterms is because the Right went full bat shit in every single way. We are playing in some very serious traffic.

A former slave would be ideal also they must have a letter on the ABCDEFG+ scale that no one else currently identifies with, they must have had an abortion or at least be an abortion survivor and feel guilty about it. so anytime you need to do anything you have to make a filibuster carveout...but yet claim that congress will work together for important things. How are people still believing this. Ignoring the BS on the military crap never having an issue. I still would be fine with it having to be a talking filibuster, not ideal at all but would require them to do actual "work". Haha, talking filibuster but if you go off topic from the bill being discussed your mic is cut and either someone else has to talk to it goes to a PUBLIC ON RECORD VOTE (maybe like a 3 strikes rule before mic is cut).

Let his Administration clean up the mess that Trump caused within the Executive Branch. Let Merrick Garland to what needs to be done to ensure Trump is removed from the political chessboard. As much as I hate to say it, this political battle needs to be fought state by state. So yes, when the ReTrumpliKKKlans make it harder to vote, the only option is to vote harder.
