The first time I played that level in Future Perfect I got mad Perfect Dark Vibes. If Time splitters had of been a N64 title it would've been G.O.A.T. hands down.
this was the first first person shooter i fell in love with. most people rate goldeneye above perfect dark but i think this was the better of the two. this is the game that lead me onto half life and other assorted fps'
You know what I though was always badass is when you point the Falcon 2 at someone for a while Joanna tilts the gun sideways like gangsta style, iv'e always loved that. This game and Unreal Tournament (1999) got that just right.
hey ...thank for add this song i love this level is easiest and also is the level that which you can see cars in the air !!!around the buildings so excellent !!
The soundtrack for PD 64 was freakin' outstanding. The whole game was an excercise in (mostly) good game design, and lets not forget how it pushed the limits of the at the time aging N64. This game alone is responsible for setting the bar from which I judge most other games I play today. And that bar is set pretty high. :) Too bad the "sequel" on the X360 never did the original justice.
00:00-00:03-Clicking of my cmp150 locking and loading Walking...Walking...Walking 00:08 opening the door and busting caps in that first guy you see i loved it!
I want to be the one to make that movie too because I don't trust any movie director with my all time favourite games. The music would have to be the same and everything you know? It would have to create the same awesome feel that this game made for me playing it. But I totally agree with you, it needs to be made into a really good movie.
And God said to Joannaham, the "real" sequel shall be great and all on the face of the earth shall marvel at its beauty and shining power....and it shall be called.... PERFECT LIGHT
This game blew my mind when I first played it. Back then we didn't care that the characters had no facial movement, that everything looked like it had been poorly printed onto blocky unrendered cardboard boxes and we didn't care, coz the game was freaken awesome. BRING IT BACK!!!
Lemme tell you a fictional story: Once upon a time... a legendary group of Rare ruled the N64 platform and indeed the game world but they were extinct and bought by Microsoft however some escaped before that. Those brave men, formed Free Radical and, invented the great Timesplitters series. Until the grey suits of Infinity Ward and Treyarch came along and slain them all, until they were all dead, and ruled the game industry. The End
Agreed. I played the XBLA one though, the remake, and it was pretty good without the lag. It is true though, most of the difficulty on the N64 version was because of the lag, and the game suffered a lot from it.
I hate how all these channels that remix this track never add the best part which is the end part that speeds up when the shoot out in the lobby starts and it drives me fucking nuts.
First of all that's because it's not a sequel, but a prequel. Second, you have to realize that the team that did GoldenEye and Perfect Dark left near the end of the development of PD 64 to start Free Radical Design, of Timesplitters fame. So the team that made Perfect Dark Zero was mostly different. The shame is they only did the one game, so they never had a chance to improve what worked and what didn't work with Zero.
I loved having this theme when i was fighting DARKsims in the multiplayer section, as that was fashinating me to begin with! It was WAY too easy when they had explosives and blew themselves up behind every wall since they react so fast... If they have an automatic weapon... just ouch...
There WAS one in development though. If it had gone on schedule, it would probably had been released in 2007 or 2008. It's name was Perfect Dark Core and it would have out done this years reboot of Tomb Raider. and with an idea similar to Mass Effect in that your choices would affect the outcome of the game. Joanna much more gritty and realistic...but then Microsoft decided to can it, a Kameo sequel, Conker's Other Bad Day and this to develop Kinect. Not a great decision I might add.
However all these thing took their toll on the humble 64. The action could get quite laggy at times. Perfect Dark was everything that GoldenEye was and more, but the Nintendo 64 had reached its full potential and could be pushed no further.
haha damn right. if u sound the alarm more guards come n kill you cuz you start off with only a few bullets. the enemies got more HP requiring more bullets. Then you have to go up n take bullets form their bodies but you end up getting meleed to death or shot up trying ot pick bullets when guards are loose cuz of alarm.
It was released on May 23, 2000. Heh, this should have been my birthday present for turning ten at the same date...shit Oh well, at least we people who waited for the price drop to 50 dollars to 7 bucks is way better.
@smitman55678 hope it wont become a movie ever. than it would have acces to all the non gamers outside the world. perfect dark is a gift to all gamers, and only for them !
Good or bad is all a matter of opinion. It depends on what you look for I suppose. As for me, I was very satisfied with Perfect Dark Zero, hell I bought it six months before I bought my Xbox 360. One reason was a false rumor I had heard online that a graphical remake of the first game (like what we have now on XBLA) would be on a bonus disc. If that would have been true, there probably wouldn't have been any left on the shelf so I decided to go ahead and pick it up. Collectors Edition and all.
GUys..... If your looking for a game jsut like this TimeSplitters Future Perfect fits the bill.... story ain't so great but it gots the multiplayer you loved.
The single player mode wasn't that bad mostly. Coop missions and 4-man multiplayer gets laggy at some point. Some places in the single player were bad though: Outside carrington villa, crash site and the worst of all: attack ship. The whole attack ship mission is laggy because of the lights, and the bridge room in the end is ridiculous. You have to try both to realize how smoother the new one is. PD64 is still a masterpiece though, most of the game is fine.
