This works great, as long as the flange is low enough the toilet will still sit flat. I had to use that self leveling concrete to fix a floor below one toilet that had leaked and warped the floor, that is the only gasket that would not leak. The other toilet where the flange was on top of the floor, wouldn't allow the toilet to sit level, I had to use the standard wax gasket. I'd of rather used perfect seal, and their website says that black plastic insert should be removed.

Make sure to mention to remove the black cover inside the seal. I’ve seen mistakes be done that way lol

This was great for my application. My floor around my toilet is not level. Big hump on the right side and the back left corner slopes away. Almost impossible for the toilet to sit flush on the flange and be level without shimming. I replaced my original toilet with a new toilet a year or two ago and used a standard wax ring. I decided to install it flush on the flange and leave it unlevel. Great seal, but you could tell the toilet wasn't level when you sat on it. The other day we put new flooring in, so we had to pull the toilet. Used a standard wax ring again and decided to level it this time. With all of the rocking and lifting to level it, I must have broken the wax seal and it leaked. I decided to give this one a try. This was great for when I was shimming the toilet level, since no matter how much I lifted and repositioned the toilet, the rubber gasket will still be sealed on the toilet. My flange (looks like a repair flange) sits at least 1/4 inch above the floor, so I took out the blue extender and took out the black insert before even trying it once. Seems to have worked so far!

Dude you’re right. 100+ toilets. Never have I ever seen a nice even flange. They’re always trash. Also who caulked that wood floor to base? Terrible job. Looks like they just cut the tip off and used the gun only

4x the price of plain wax rings but works for rusty/uneven flanges and uneven floors. Raised flanges too if you remove the blue top and black plastic middle.

Will this work with my older lead flange? My flange is same height with my ceramic tile floor. My concern is this: Respect Animals 3 years ago Two big dislikes. My flange is flush with my floor so I didn't use the blue adapter as per the instructions. My toilet rocked side to side so I removed the toilet to take out the black insert (also as per the instructions) and was shocked to see how much paper thin wax was pushed downward beyond the horn & ready to go down the drain. I'm glad I saw it in time. -- By the way, the rocking continued after removing the black insert. Perfect Seal was about an 1/8 inch too tall for my flush to the floor flange & my 2019 Toto toilet # C454CUFG. I went back to a regular wax ring and the toilet sat flush on the floor.

I agree there's got to be a better way of engineering a toilet. I think the Europeans toilets have us beat as far as engineering as their toilets drain is a pipe behind the toilet. It doesn't look as good in my opinion, but the design I think just works better as far as leaks and toilet stability. I also agree with you siliconeing the LVP around the flange. We renovated our guest bathroom and we used water proof LVP and used "seam sealer " on all the planks as well as silicone around the flange in hopes that should it leak it, liquid won't go in-between the floating floor. That would just be very unfortunate! Lol!

How has this been working for you?

Like the product, but never use silicone, it won't seal permanently if there is a leak. The water will find it's away around it. You don't remove the toilet every year and refresh the silicone. Silicone allows a leak to soak the subfloor over time, and then your toilet screws got nothin left.

So my sewer pipe is cast iron and measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter ... the opening inside is at 3 3/4 inches. The flange will be about 1/8 above the level floor when done. What flange and I'm thinking this Danco perfect seal without the blue "extension" on top ..?
