Just beautiful. I was one of the lucky 120,000 or so fans packed into an all day concert at JFK in Philly, 6/12/76 to see Frampton, Yes, Gary Wright and the Pousette-Dart Band. What a day/night.
You just have to look in his Eyes , and you can see how much love and fun he has to play this Les paul and this kind of Music , and that is the Reason why he is so good !! Because he has fun to do it ! ...
My sister and I lost our father the day Peter did this show. It will always be an important performance to us both. Kathy and I would like to thank "PeacefulEasyFeelings" for posting this song and video of Mr. Frampton. Peace to all... "We miss you DAD !!!"
played this song in asheville, nc tonight and BLEW THE PLACE AWAY! one of the finest guitar players i have ever had the pleasure to share a musical space with. thank you, mr frapmton.
OLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Peter! Peter! Peter! Peter!!!!!!! What an extraordinary artist. So meaningful in my life, and still today, with all his power and passion. Hats off! I wish I could see him live.
in 02 he lived outside DC and was strung out sooooooo bad,I hope he's doin much better now,he was all ways 1 of my favorite musicians, playin "baby I love your way"got me more chicks than you can imagine
He was my hero when I was young and now even more so. He completely feels his audience and it also reflects in his music, he is a great teacher also, by living his passion... what a heart.. what an artist...
saw him a few weeks ago in pensacola......made this song his encore....it was amazing...holding my girl while he was playing this feeling the emotion he put into it and sending it to the audience with that beautiful gibson les paul
If anything even more awesome than in the early days, been a fan since he was in the Herd in the 60's, then in Humble Pie he nailed it and made me a lifelong admirer.
If anything I think he's playing that guitar even better than he did in his youth. He is one of the best guitarists working I think. Underrated and always fantastic. And I still like his looks...
Same guitar he used back in the 70's. When it rocks, you gotta hang onto it and rock it back!! Love his guitar and his voice. Where's the talk box on stage? He invented that! SpeakTruer
OOh yOh yeah, one of the world's best rock guitarists. Very enjoyable to listen to.eah, one of the world's best rock guitarists. Very enjoyable to listen to.
In the 70's my sis .called me by the name Frampton coz I had long locks of blonde hair... today Mr Frampton and I share the same.... Love you and yours... x
thanks to his father who made him familiar with the great Jazz guitar player from Belgium, "Django Reinhardt" Peter started to get interest to play a guitar! He gave us a lot of pleasure till today!
By a request of Mr. George Harrison Mr. Frampton plays in a couple of songs in "The all things must pass" album, you can hear him in "The Art of Dying" playing the solos. Kudos from Guadalajara, Mexico ✌😎
@stratcat250 Yep, it's great! Is it a Les Paul he's using on that cover? It is a excellent tune and a great cover! There is a video on here that teaches you how to make a talk box even. It was such an innovation & now you can make it from tubing and a shoe box with a tiny amp. Blows me away & I bet Frampton too!
I was fine until 2:50, when I realized the song had yet to begin. I am typing this now with a pen in my mouth, because my mind was blown so hard I became a paraplegic.
So underated seen him many times and he's incredible The Stones wanted him to tour since Brian was out n gobe by Frampton couldn't so they went after Mick Taylor Jeff Beck said no as well
@stratcat250 My bad, I forgot about him finding that dude in America with it and he had the only one then & Peter got to try it out I think?,,,, But then he made it his own. He is the one that made it truly 'talk' to me! :D
@SpeakTruer He didn't actually invent the talk box but he sure put it to good use. I'm not sure who did but some C&W guy used it in the early 60's. Check out Peter Drake on an old Lawrence Welk Show video here in RU-vid.
@SpeakTruer Yup, they aren't that hard to make. I have an old Heil that I don't use nearly enough. I need to break it out. BTW Have you heard "Black Hole Sun" cover by Frampton?
You can play- or you can't. Many are called but very few are in that little group of Can Play. I don't think there's any further discussion about Peter Frampton!
It's not about how to play (technical). It's the 'feeling' he creates through his tones and notes. Tim Kelly (Slaughter's former guitarist) really dug him. If it's technical you're bragging about, compare these guys to Vai : Guthrie Govan, Brett Garsed, Alan Holdsworth, Eric Johnson, Rob Marcello, Michael Angelo Batio, Shawn Lane, Rusty Cooley, etc.
his sgt peppers movie with bee gees ruined him as being considered one of the best guitarists (my opinion).... as you can see...he really is one of the best
Have that guitar on my wall at home, only with tripple Humbuckers, not Di mazzios. I look at it when I put this Spellbinding music on...........loud!! My neighbours don't like me very much!!
