Pikmin 3: Dying on day 1 as Alph 

I love how Alph is too embarrassed of dying on Day 1 that he couldn’t even bring up the courage to write a daily report

Welcome to Pikmin 3 where adding a single bouncy mushroom to the tutorial breaks the entire game.

i love how alph says

I love how alph just splats onto the ground in front of the ship when he dies. It even makes a splat sound.

Imagine dying but still being able to see your surroundings while you decompose... Freaky thought.

Is it just me, or is Alph an MVP in this game? He finds the ship, discovers the rock and red Pikmin, rations out juice properly, saves Brittany and Charley, fixes the ship so it can go to new areas, is genuinely upset when the others get no juice, is super nice, and isn’t afraid of the creatures on PNF-404. Charley, is a coward, and doesn’t pull his weight, whenever a creature gets slightly close to him, he panics and runs everywhere. Brittany, inspects the fruit, and blatantly steals juice from the other two crew members, even saying sometimes that “ She wishes she didn’t have to share with the others “ when she takes the most juice out of the three of them, which Alph and Charley both acknowledge in one of the Check-Ins you can do, in which she responds with something like, “ That’s so rude! You shouldn’t accuse me like that. You know what, I should get more juice now because you said that. “ Alph is just so good.

Fun fact: In Pikmin 3 Deluxe you can die as Charlie on day one to the enemies in the cave, but it just starts the cutscene where Charlie gets eaten by the Vehemoth Phosbat.

I love how Alph was just completely dumbfounded that he somehow managed to get downed on his very first day on PNF-404.

Alph is so disappointed in himself that he decides not to write anything in the journal.

The fact that he doesn't say anything for the report makes it seem like alph actually just died

Alph: *dies in flames multiple times* Alph's report: This is exactly the experience I was hoping for! :D

I want a rip of all of Alph’s voice clips. His voice is so hilarious(and they didn’t put his voice in Smash so I can’t listen to it in the sound test)

I think that it shows the red onion in the place of the blue onion because thats the only onion in the game. since alph didnt discover the red onion and it didnt follow him back on day 2, the game gets confused and looks for the closest onion and finds the blue one, so it just goes along with it and uses that one

Alph: *Is dying* I need to find the Drake. Drake: Nah, don't worry, I gotcha.

Now that I think about it... what sucks up Alph and puts him next to the SS Drake when he dies.

And just like that, the explorers mission ended in catastrophic failure. After the crash...Charlie, Alph and Brittany never reunited. Charlie was eaten alive, Britanny starved to death trapped in an unknown place and alph was such an inept moron he didn't know his ass inside out. And even if he was actually smart, The red onion he discovered was on its last legs. As it instead kept flying away from the drake and landed in the water before deactivating seemingly for good. As a result, the three explorers and their ship never returned nor was ever found. Koppais three explorers as well as their hopes of recovery was pronounced dead. As the years went by, millions of koppaites died of starvation before they eventually left the planet. Leaving it as an empty wasteland...

what happens if you get charlie before brittany?

Is weird how alph has the normal dead animation but charlie doesn't I would say is becouse you are not suppose to die at day 1 but it wouldn't make sense if alph dies normally, I guess

I think the Day 1 cutscene loops when you choose that location and when you get the found Drake cutscene it triggers a flag to let you go to the next area and also to stop using the cutscene.

i was expecting the red onion to follow to the correct spot when you land, and have it pull out a red sprout since theres no pikmins on the field turns out the onion just swaps with the blue onion

I had one pikmin that die in day 1 with out hacking (it was a glitch that I don't know how to do it happened randomly)

besides all the weird glitchyness, i really love how things could be very different. if no pikmin were around on that particular day, they'd all be stuck. but... they can fly around and land wherever, so.. they'd technically be fine too? anywho, what i find so interesting and chill is the ambience. when walking around on a strange planet and there are no enemies and you just stroll around, explore, no danger per se. i wish i could do that in real life, where we could purchase space ships and just take off into space. like, it being so normal for humanity to do this. you could go as far as you'd like, but of course, the further away, the more alone you might get and too far from any help if you get in potential dangerous situations but man... i'd love to take my ship, go fly for a while, or have warp speed if it's there, and land on some strange planet and just, explore. be the only human there basically. make sure the surface is not dangerous of course, lol

This question maybe off topic to the video, but if this game only has Brittany and Captain Charlie taking a flight to explore PNF-404, how will they be able to find their ship and survive if it wasn’t for Alph’s? To me as a huge Pikmin fan (Well sadly, not as much as before since I’ve been looking forward to other games like Zelda, Bomberman, and many other classic and indie games while waiting for Pikmin 4 to release), This sweet blue boi is a hero and that is why I loved him so much! Olimar and Louie, are great, too.

Pikmin is probably one of the easiest games to not die in (not talking about pikmin themselves). So much so that nintendo - a game company known for their easy games - didnt think to make contingency for dying on the first day.
