The fast and the furious is the best point break remake.

The 80-90 was the best era of rated r action flicks

8:14 and 8:25 that "FUCK" sounded like as if it came out straight from your heart. I feel you bro.

I finally watched the original Point Break after watching this, and it was an amazing movie! Johnny is badass.

I think there are 3 types of remakes: 1. Dawn of the Dead(2004)- A remake that try to be different from the original 2. Carrie(2013)- Just modern copy of the original And Point Break a remake that doesn't know WTF it wants to be

Didn't even bother seeing the movie, once I saw the trailer I knew it wouldn't live up to the original, and great review John!

Kudos for taking one for the team, especially if you paid money to see it. I watched the first 10 minutes on free to air TV and chose to read a book afterwards. I doubted myself and thought I may have been weak but this your video proves I have not yet killed a critically mass of brain cells.

Or at least Gerard Butler could have stayed on to play Bodhi. OR maybe Chris Hemsworth could have played Bodhi (in fact, he was considered for it), and have Liam Hemsworth play Johnny Utah. At least THAT would have been FUNNY, because it's two brothers going against each other as characters who treat each other like brothers. (Plus, they were going against each other when they were first casting Thor.)

I liked this movie. Not as an actual movie with characters, motivations and philosophies but liking it as a GoPro reel of awesome stunts. Didn't really care for anything else. To me it's a good popcorn movie, not much else.

My favorite action movies from the 90's Die Hard, Point Break, Terminator, Conan he Barbarian, Commando.

I honestly think a remake of The Warriors could be really good if dealt with passion and a good cast. The cast is the tricky part though.

John, do you think that this might have worked more for you if Johnny Utah had been played by Nicolas Cage, and Bodhi had been played by Kurt Russell? (I mean, have Kurt Russell dye his hair blonde, and think about it: he'd look closer to Patrick Swayze's Bodhi.)
