Ma'am, I'm gonna be honest... I am not a Polish or even remotely close to Poland even, I am a 23 year old Indian guy. There's a famous 90's Polish cartoon 'Pat and Mat', I don't know if you know about it. I discovered this cartoon just a couple of months ago and right away it became one of my favourites. The first episode of that cartoon which I saw was named 'Potato Salad' in which Pat and Mat make it(in Polish way ofcourse). Since then, I have been wanting to see the Polish Potato Salad in real life but never got the opportunity to search about it. Today, it just struck to me and I searched about it. You video came first in the search results, and I started to watch it. Believe me ma'am, you are so pleasant and calm, yet soothing in a way indescribable. Your way of teaching and showing the recipe was amazing. The surroundings, the setup of the table, fresh ingredients and all. It just moved me. Thank you so much for showcasing it and I'm definitely gonna try it. Subscribed for more of your videos. Love from India 🇮🇳 P.S we don't even remotely put potatoes in our salad here in India. Sorry for writing this long comment, just wanted to appreciate your efforts.
Kaushal, thank you for your kind words! I started this channel to share my culture with others and I'm glad that it's working. Unfortunately the Polish kitchen hasn't become as popular as the dishes of your home. Believe me, I'm glad that Indian cuisine has spread like wild fire as it is one of my favorite food cultures! Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for watching!
@@PolishYourKitchen Ma'am to be fair, we Indians are almost everywhere around the world due to which our Indian cuisine has been known to all and today's social media and Internet just fuelled it due to which its spreading like Wildfire as you said. Believe me every cuisine is a good one and I'm glad that Indian food is one of your favourites. It's just a matter of time when people would also recognise delicate cuisines like Polish food and when it will be recognised worldwide you will be the first among them who represented your cuisine. So don't feel demotivated or sad that Polish Kitchen is not as popular as ours. It's just a matter of time and sometimes some Cuisines are like Wines, it may not be appreciated earlier but as it ages it's essence grows and would eventually become one of the sought afters in the market!!! Cheers 🥂 and keep making and spreading more cuisines of yours!! 😄 P.S. Sorry if you felt bad that I used Wine as metaphor to compare your cuisine. My English is not very good 😅, so maybe it wouldn't make any sense.
I'm going to try making us it looks delicious and I am half polish. We always used half mayonnaise half sour cream making potato salad. That was my mom's recipe!
I love this salad!! I make pretty much the same one at work - I also add some of the dill brine from the pickles. I love the addition of the radish - I think I’ll do this. Thanks for sharing! 🤓👍❤️🇨🇦
Since watching you I feel like I should be part polish at least. I have been putting pickled in my potato salad for years now and in my tuna mayo I love the sour tang so so much. Thank you for sharing.
I cant wait to make this, I like all the ingredients just like you prepared the Potato Salad. And I have loved to drink pickle juice since I was a litter kid and still do. Thanks for the recipe! 😀 💖
I tend to have a problem with low sodium...and I mentioned to a doctor that I like pickle juice. I was in the hospital for a broken leg, and he actually had dietary send bottles of pickle juice up. The nurses thought I was nuts...but I love it AND it did the trick with my sodium levels AND it was more natural and one less pill! (Much to Medicare's dismay.) By the way to save your knife blade sharpness...get a food scraper. The more you drag the knife across a cutting board, the more you damage the micro teeth on the knife.
I've sometimes put very small cherry tomatoes in potato salad and yes lots of fresh herbs i think my way of cooking is similar to yours but I'm half German and half English lol0
We are coming into potato salad time. 🙌🏻 I’ll try it like you made but I’ll probably have to add less green onions. And I’ll have to have my “party people” guests over. 😂
