Part 1
It's been well over 5 months since the last engine start-up in the V2 unit. Despite minor problems with starting, the engine did not let me down and worked politely after receiving the right dose of gasoline.
The first phase of heating up the system proceeded as planned, although small glycol leaks were taken into account.
The alternator behaved in accordance with the assumptions, i.e. it did not raise the voltage higher than necessary, which makes the cooperation between the PV and the aggregate look stable and there is no "fight for watts"
There are already a few tips on what needs to be improved in the functioning and design to make the next test more "pleasant" and easier to organize.
Part 2
The test flew without major incidents, unfortunately the leaks from the plate heat exchanger will have to be sealed. In the end, I know what justifies the efficiency of the alternator, if the alternator temperature is too high - too little air flow, there is no proper production. A typical result is 20A which I have observed. In the case of installing the second alternator, it will have a higher speed due to the larger drive wheel and I will have a performance comparison.
There are a lot of small things to improve but no glaring shortcomings. Engine operation is ok, but after a few more tests, it's time to check the valve clearance.
The V2 power generator is equipped with a 1.4 16V 75KM engine (temporarily only petrol - rather for greater reliability it will be without LPG)
In place of the power steering pump, a 1500W alternator will be installed, maybe it will be possible to mount another 1500W on the wheel, which was supposed to be air conditioning, so 3000W of potential will come out.
