Excellent video. The biggest step is to recognize those synthetic and processed things in our food supply that damage the cells and are directly related to all the modern diseases. Then understand how to correct the cellular damage and optimize the mitochondrial function. Most of these things are successful alternative treatments for so-called "terminal" cancers (which is a metabolic disease but not treated as such in general)

Its like star wars the force jajaja practices like fasting, selfless service to others, using the sauna, and engaging in meditation and yoga have been suggested to positively impact mitochondrial health and function. Fasting, for example, is known to stimulate mitochondrial biogenesis, which is the process by which new mitochondria are formed in the cell, enhancing the cells' ability to produce energy. Similarly, activities like yoga and meditation are associated with reduced stress and improved cellular health, which may indirectly support mitochondrial function by reducing oxidative stress and enhancing overall well-being. While the direct impact of selfless service on mitochondria isn't well-documented in scientific literature, the reduction in psychological stress and the improvement in mental health often associated with altruism could potentially contribute to better cellular health, including that of mitochondria. These practices collectively could be seen as holistic ways to enhance physical and mental health, possibly supporting mitochondrial function and contributing to longevity and better quality of life.

In human genetics, the Mitochondrial Eve (more technically known as the Mitochondrial-Most Recent Common Ancestor, shortened to mt-Eve or mt-MRCA) is the matrilineal most recent common ancestor (MRCA) of all living humans. In other words, she is defined as the most recent woman from whom all living humans descend in an unbroken line purely through their mothers and through the mothers of those mothers, back until all lines converge on one woman.

Since DNA from mitochondria is exclusively inherited from the mother, any DNA damage that occurs in the eggs of the mother before pregnancy could be inherited by the child. Would this not lead to mitochondrial DNA damage accumulation with every generation of children? For example, could you could accumulate significant mitochondrial damage over 10 generations, or could 100 generations lead to mitochondrial disease, infertility, and developmental or metabolic disorders? To what extent can this DNA damage be mitigated by intrinsic DNA repair?

The proof of concept study of mitochondrial transfustion is interesting however the interpretation is problematic. Sepsis causes severe baseline mitochondrial disruption and dysfunction. Mitochondrial transfusion, assuming there is no immune response to the foreign mitochondria, might restore basal mitochondrial function. This is unrelated to the aging process or recovery of the immune system.

If this ever becomes a viable treatment, it will be very expensive. This will be for the wealthy only. This company is in business not for altruistic reasons, but rather for profit, just like every other company. You'd better believe that this won't be paid for by your health insurance or medicare. You'd be better off making positive changes to your lifestyle and by daily intermittent fasting with periodic longer fasting to enhance the process of autophagy, which helps to clean up old and damaged mitochondria and cells.

Some things will give it away like cataracts, crepe skin, and other aging effects. Even if there is a test you could take, it would need to be taken before and after a supplementation regimen with no other changes in lifestyle. I have more confidence in methylene blue and D-limonene which reduces Interleukin-6. NMN sublingually would even be better than PQQ imo.

Well, if you have painfree and quality of life til you die, then you've won the game called life. BUT it seems most people think living as long as possible is more important than quality of life, because people in general live with diseases and are bedridden etc the last 10 to 30 years, or earlier, of their lives. That's not living, that's dying slowly in agony where you wish for death much sooner. If I can keep my health (I'm 43 btw and healthy because I do certain things) til I die, I'm happy. But if I get sick and my life quality goes down due to bad advice, and ofc manipulation and brainwashing, I would want to die early. Don't 100% trust your doctor when it comes to their medical practice which is VERY narrow, or most of what mainstream media says and keep an open mind where you will find stuff that can and will help you treat disease and other ailments, and make your life a lot better and healthier. Most people are sick due to bad advice and manipulation, the lack of good information, not the other way around.

Very cool, if this develops as the presenter predicts we may find that a lot of "modern medicine" is treating things too late and in the wrong way. The book Power, Sex, Suicide by Nick Lane is an excellent overview of mitochondria, full of things you probably don't know. I now can't remember the details, but the DNA that enables mitochondrial functions is actually distributed between the mitochondria and the cellular nucleus. So "mitochondrial DNA damage" can happen in either the mitochondria or in the cell's nucleus or both. Science is very cool and this stuff could shape the future in a big way.
