The boyfriend refusing 7k in favor of five is baffling until you remember narcissism exists. He probably couldn't stand being _dead wrong_ about the price of the car so made a fuss and cost that poor woman 2K in savings. Had it been me, I would've dumped him right then and there and taken the deal. "I love you hunny but I don't love your ego and you're not getting in the way of me and my money."

I feel bad for the girlfriend of the $5k car guy. My sister dated an asshole like that, and there was a point where he threw a temper tantrum in a car dealership, so as this story started I was worried it was about my sister.

I love how, everytime you talk like a woman who "isnt in the wrong" you put on this soft, innocent voice. You should make a video where you switch all the voices around, and give the normal voices to the a holes, and the condesending voices to the victims.

I actually feel really sorry for the little girl in the ice cream story. I have no way of knowing if she was a brat or someone who was old enough to know they should order more than a day in advance, so I'm left to assume she was a normal girl who didn't get her birthday treat because her dad was a procrastinator and was mean to the ice cream people.

I went to a dealership a couple weeks ago to look at a Camaro. The salesman was such a jerk that I went next door instead and bought a Jag. I was tempted to drive by and show him what I bought from his competition just to be petty. The A-Hole Tax is a very real thing.

Props to that mom. I don't think I'd be able to move from my bed 3 days after giving birth let alone go to court. Wtf

Ugh. I hate when people try to haggle me for my services (tailoring) especially because I already try to make everything I do affordable, the prices haven't been raised in over 10 years AND since I took over as owner, I've barely taken home any pay for myself. From now on, any time someone asks for a discount (especially when they only have one or two items) I am just gonna say a higher price each time they ask.

Years ago I was buying some .22 LR bullets from a newly opened store that day and had lots of discounts to get customers. They were reduced to $1.79 per box of 100 with 15 boxes per case. I got a case and the new cashier was doing the math on paper to ring-up the total. Old registers didn't do multiples. ($1.79 x 15 = $26.85.) The manager pushes her aside and loudly says she doesn't know what she'd doing and he'll do it himself. 15 x 0.79 = $11.85. I said I'll take two cases. Then decide to take 4 cases for $47.40 (a $60 discount.) The sales clerk smiled at my decision. I still feel guilty 40+ years later, but her smile was well worth it knowing the manager paid the A-holetax.

Dealers can get shady with trade-ins. They'll just move money around, charge you more for the new vehicle, and more for the trade in and you get screwed in the process.

The avocado toast comment mad me legit laugh out loud because it reminded me of a shitty experience I had with a server when I was a sous chef and had to cover breakfast that day. Long story short made the avocado toast for a regular and the server didn’t like how it looked so instead of bringing it to him just walked around the corner, waited a few seconds and brought it back saying he didn’t like it. The customer was literally seated in my view from the open kitchen that we had. She demanded I remake it right so I remade it, Kept the other on the serving line while it was being made, and before I even got it finished she came back grabbed the original said “omg so much better” and left and served it to him... story doesn’t end there but suffice it to say her and I didn’t see eye to eye after that.

Makes me think of last summer, when our company's office desk was filled with invoices that hadn't been sent to our customers for a good 3 months. One of my co-workers who was responsible for handling the billing also took customer calls, and according to what I later heard, we lost some big customer(s) due to his hasty (and likely rude, knowing his personality) decision-making that completely went against our contracts.

I love this mother. This was a great ploy. I know the pain was no fun and feeding the little tike i bett was alwas hungry. The father owned it.

I work at an estate sale ( NOT "tag sale" stuff) company in a very exclusive CT county....i have so many stories about filthy rich ppl demanding expensive items for $1, or coming to buy huge pieces of furniture and bring no help, no blankets, no bungees and expect us( a bunch of middle- aged and older women) to load it into their convertible tiny sports cars. "i thought it would fit...." They all refuse to rent a u- haul or pay for delivery. Once in awhile we have guys who can do the loading. These people NEVER tip. They just bought a $10,000 couch for $400 bucks and expect so much. This is a new field of work for me, i never knew how disgustingly rude, arrogant and CHEAP ppl could be.

When taking custom orders, you ALWAYS lead with "when do you need this for?" You learn that very quickly. I had someone come in at 9pm, less than an hour before close the day before Good Friday, a national holiday for which we close, for the largest cake we make for 9 am Saturday. I don't know when she expected us to do it, but she seemed startled when I told her no.

I can just imagine the Boyfriend strutting out of that dealership, chest puffed out bragging how he helped his Girlfriend pay $2000 more. They werent going to put one over on him.

oh man, I used to work in HVAC and I was doing side work for a landlady that from the beginning tried to get me to lower my rate because her previous guy did it for cheaper. Every time she did that I would say "Ok so if you can get a hold of him then he can come do the work." (Her previous HVAC guy ghosted her)

@10:47 reminds me of the time my father and i were at walmart and i witnessed major entitlement. while we were going through the check out, some lady on her mobility scooter comes zipping between 2 tills screaming "WHY IS NO ONE HELPING ME?! im disabled!" the cashier in the till beside us told her that she needed to wait and that they would be able to help her when its her turn. this woman huffed, put her scooter in reverse, and slammed into my dad and the expecting couple behind us, nearly knocking the pregnant woman to the ground and actually knocking her husband down on his butt. this scooter woman didnt care that she hit anyone. she just put all her items on the counter between us and the expecting couple and complained how they discriminating against the disabled for not taking her before everyone else. the woman got away with it too.

So, I work at a subway. The ice cream one reminds me SO much of when people try to order a catering tray of subs the day of. They don’t understand the work that goes into it, how it’s simply not possible for us. One tray is five footlong subs cut into three pieces and arranged nicely. Usually people want at least two trays. Doesn’t seem like THAT much. But when you consider that it takes 12 hours to thaw the bread overnight, then 1 hour to proof (expand and make it soft), 12 minutes to bake, 10-15 minutes to cool. That’s 13 and a 1/2 hours for one load of bread (about 30 foot longs). Plus we only thaw a certain amount of bread each night based on how busy we are expected to be. (We have productivity reports for that day the last year, last week, etc, so we can make an educated estimate of what we will need for the whole day and not waste too much since it is tossed the next morning to bake a fresh batch). This is why we ask minimum 24 hours notice for catering orders. So that we can ensure we will have enough bread both for the order and for our regular customers of the day. So with all that in mind. I’ve had people walk in, usually at lunch or dinner time while we are already in the middle of our rush, and ask for a catering order to be made on the spot. I have lived the experience of taking the order and going “and when would you like that for and could I have a name and number for the order please?” And they usually say something like “why would you need my number it’s for right now.” With a stupid look on their face. Keep in mind, that doesn’t even include the fact that catering trays include sauces in side containers, napkins, etc and have to be prepared nicely and neatly, sometimes people want a dozen or more cookies as well, and they are expecting us to just, I don’t know, stop serving everyone else and just make their 10-20 subs right away? Leave all the other customers standing there staring at us? Yeah, sure, entitled person, I’ll get RIGHT on that. Not. I seriously don’t understand people. Like, would you walk into a restaurant at 6pm and expect them to cater your event, which is happening in an hour, with 20 steak dinners on the spot? No. But, it’s just fast food, so it must be easy. Lol. Oh well.

Oh god the casheer one over the discount ive had that happen customer came up screaming i didnt ask him for his phone number for the 1.50 discount. Which i did but he started just screaming at me and insulting my weight and how i didnt know how to work a hards day labor by looking at me. At this point i was soooo stressed and holding my cool to keep from slaming my kiosk window in his face. Eventually i gave him a customer satisfaction of 1.50 but he then left cussing saying i cheated him oit of 1.50 even though i just gave him 1.50

Now I'm making 2,000-4,000 on. Brokered loads with my new team driver and dumbass lost out because I would have brought him on but he isn't getting me to stick my neck out

I got offered $1,000 for my trade-in, that made me happy. I hope to never have the black brain cells to deny 2000 more than I thought it was worth

My dad did something similar with my mom with child support. My mom was okay with 250 dollars for each kid (2 kids) a month for child support. My dad thought that was too much and went to court and the judge said 250 is too little. And he bumped it up to 500 per kid per month. Until my mom closed the child support case a few years back. My dad owed 20,000 dollars to my mom for back child support.

I worked at a dealership before and they actually do scam you like that. They say your trade in car is worth more when in reality we just raised the price of the car you're buying to make it seem like you're getting a good deal on your trade in and getting a good chunk off of the new car when in reality we made a shit ton off of the new car and now can make money of your trade in. It's hella shady but that is how all car dealerships work.

The first story hit me at home. My dad owes my mum over £6k and refuses to pay, this put her in a terrible situation mentally. He lies and deceives to this day. He 'dont got a job'! (Yes he said that)'So can't help wiv any money!' He's nearly 40 and still lives with his parents he also does drugs but supposedly he 'dont got a job' so how he pays for them is beyond me! He failed to show up to court and now has a warrant for his arrest. If I get 10 likes then I will post this to Reddit!

That first case reminds me of my sister and her kid. My sister and the baby father live 6 hours apart as she came back to her home town after the split. After my niece was born he hasn't paid a dime in child support and still argues to get full custody even tho he has only seen her once in her 2 year life span because he can't be bothered to show up for birthdays and other events even tho his siblings who live in the same area as him show up. They set up a meeting in my sisters home town twice to discuss the situation but he failed to show up twice so my sister got mad and set up the next meeting in his home town. Without a car she got our mom to drive her and my toddler niece 6 hours for a meeting (Without money to stay anywhere they drove 6 hours back the same day, Thats over 12 out of 24 hours spent in a car). 2 hours before the meeting he texted his brother that his brother should tell my sister that he wasn't gonna show up despite the meeting being 20 minutes away from his house(He had even taken a personal day from work). You can say he lost that custody battle.

1st story: My own mom was in a similar situation when I was a few months old with her ex-husband, though He wasn't my dad, but my brother and sister's dad. I was a few months old and with my dad out in the hallway as the ex(who was a complete jerk) tried to slander my mom, saying she is a horrible mother. Of course, his argument was difficult given I was actually laughing loud enough to be heard even inside the courtroom instead of crying. The judge even commented "that's one happy baby".
