First story: not to mention the actual danger he put the wife in by telling her he was coming to take her to the hospital when he wasn't. What if she'd kept waiting and suffered complications?
@AuntLoopy123
@AuntLoopy123 3 года назад
Exactly! I have a friend who had to assist with a road-side childbirth. He had been trained, and part of that training was "Massage the vulva until the ambulance arrives." Because women BLEEEEEEEEEED after childbirth, and the massage helps to slow it down. The doctor told him, later, that he saved her life. She would have bled out, had he not done it, or stopped before the ambulance arrived, and she was able to get proper care. It's not always an issue, but it was for her. Or, it could have been like when my niece was born. She got STUCK halfway out, and they had to push her back inside and to an emergency surgery. Or the cord could have been wrapped around the baby's neck. HE wouldn't know. SHE wouldn't know, let alone know how to fix it. That's what TRAINED MEDICAL PERSONNEL ARE FOR. Homebirths are OK with a midwife, but not ALONE. You need SOMEONE there. Even if she only had someone untrained there to catch the baby... I just... SHE COULD HAVE DIED! The BABY could have DIED! All because of a football game and "rituals" that go with it. And then "YOU MADE ME LOOK BAD." No. He IS bad. Full stop!
@MissSpaz
@MissSpaz 3 года назад
SERIOUSLY. I'm just blown away, that's insanity. Plus him calling and asking if she's still in labor... like what?? Did he expect her labor to stop? Her to say "oh, the game is still on? Alright let me just pause labor" like WHAT. There could've been so many things that went wrong. Thank god her sister was there to get her to the hospital. His behavior is just beyond disgusting.

@@BCFBreakfastClubFan I mean, if he hadn't *been* a bad husband and father in that moment, there would have been no problem. Also, his game time "rituals" that he can't do at his house with his wife present are super sus. I'm willing to bet he's got other narcissistic, controlling tendencies as well, and if so OP needs to *run* to a divorce attorney. If the dude was just an idiot, like "she'll be in labor six hours easy, I can finish watching the game" then that's bad enough, but might be dealt with through counseling. But if he genuinely cared more about the "game" (yeah, super duper sus) than being there for the birth of his son, then that's absolutely irredeemable.

My husband was hilarious throughout my labour and delivery, ended up having a c-section. He was holding m my hand with his head over the drape giving me play by play detail of what was going on! 😂 I finally told him him to shut it, I wasn’t interested where my body parts were thank you very much! 25 years on now and he still tells his buddies how cool it was! Good lord if we could hold it life would be so much easier. I've heard men have random boners, and that has to suck, but I do know the aches and nausea, and the uncomfortable heavy gush from some of the slightest movements. That's...to my knowledge a decent comparison actually...maybe it might not happen as often, but it might help get certain switches to flip and lightbulbs to turn on.

I'll give my limited insight here as a man. I'd take "nursing a semi" 24/7 than even a fraction of what women go through. The morning wood and the random rises during the day as a teenager is a cakewalk to deal with. Even the random "cream incidents" before getting the hang of our plumbing I'd easily deal with compared with what the female anatomy goes through. The more insight I get, the more in awe I am of those women who gets it worst. I just think about that poor late teens/early twenties Swedish show host that projectile vomited on live TV because of bad menstrual cramps, and I easily understand that I've got the easy side of life.
@sailor_indra

also, first time period blood is not the same as regular period blood. as the body gets used to the menstrual cycle blood gets more homogeneous and idk behaves like a period but the first few ones are full of chunks, big blood clots, brown thick blood, and it's just so much. i couldn't imagine being like that at school with nothig to help me
@Dakushiko
@Dakushiko Год назад
Well some people actually can, look up for free flow instinct. I'm not saying anyone CAN, I just know that I could with some training (i wouldn't spill anything on pads and everything in the toilets when I would go peeing). I used to do it unconsciously since I've had my periods, especially during the night (i never bleed when I sleep and everything goes when I need to pee in the morning). When you're holding it in, at some point you'll feel like an urgent need to pee, and then it's mostly blood coming out. Maybe tmi, but some people really can do it, but I don't know if you can have a big flow doing it. It's not very confortable though as you have to pay attention to your body way more than usual.

ABSOLUTELY. My younger cousin is 15 but started her period when she was only 8. However, just because she’s been having her period for 7 years doesn’t mean it gets any easier on her and her “father” and older brothers are clueless assholes who are still impatient with her. If our grandma isn’t available, then sometimes her older sister can help her to get her fem-hy products. I was on a call with her a couple weeks ago and she told me that she started and she was needing her brother or dad to go to the store for her to get more pads. (She likes to call regularly because even though we’re 8 years apart in age, she sees me as her sister. Her brothers are 8 and 13 years OLDER than her. Both old enough to be mature enough to buy her some fucking pads without being jerks. I could see how much pain she was in from cramps and how miserable she felt. (That feeling of pain and panic when you’re on your last pad and you’re not sure how heavy your flow will be because it’s only the first day is unreal) Her dad and brother still don’t know what brand or size or flow of product she uses and it’s been 7 damn years. I was helping her google the pads she was describing so she could send a picture to her dad to know what to get and she was struggling and I could hear him and her eldest brother getting impatient in the background. Her brother yelled “just go to the store with him!!” And she said “I don’t want to, I don’t feel good” and be yelled back “WELL SHUT THE FUCK UP THEN!!” I was appalled. Unfortunately this type of verbal abuse is normalized in that household. My cousins honestly could benefit from years of therapy. I just pray she doesn’t end up stuck in that damn house and can move away from home. If I was single, living alone, and lived close to home, I would definitely let her live with me.

That second story pissed me off so much. Many young girls experience their first period during school and usually get shamed for it by other students. My sister’s and I both hit puberty very early. When my younger sister first had her period in primary school her damn teacher had the audacity to tell her off because her pants were “bleeding” at the crotch and the “boys” were looking. She even made her walk to the office by herself where the ‘sick bay’ didn’t even have any pads or change of pants for her. My sister asked if she was able to call my mum to go home but the office ladies said no. They made her tie her hoodie around her waist to cover the stain and she was forced to use her favourite undershirt as a pad. They even sent her back to class where her teacher acted indifferently towards her. This breaks my heart and enrages me how grown ‘female’ teachers who were educated and experienced decided to overlook my sister’s confusion and embarrassment with her early stages of womanhood. Irregardless of her being younger than the average age, hitting puberty much earlier than others is possible. It makes me more sad that now my sister is very conscious when she has her period now and she obsesses over if the blood came through. ***I’m so glad that the brother in the story still stepped in irregardless of the father’s sexism towards her first period. So many young girls would benefit from having a sibling, parent, friend, even a teacher who would help them through their first period. It’s a natural occurrence that happens in a females life. I don’t understand why some people are Asshats about it.

The amount of things that could have gone wrong had she waited for him instead of calling someone else. To be honest: 50h /week ( about the time I’m out for work) should be enough for the household. So looking for the kids if most likely not an option, wouldn’t be for me. On the weekends it’s a different storey but not during the week.

1st story: I was trying to imagine what I’d do in that woman’s situation but the truth is my partner and I wouldn’t have even gotten to that point before I cracked the shìts. ‘Oh, you want some time with your mates while we’re so close to due? Maybe you should just stay there and don’t bother coming home at all.’ Major red flag! He sounds like a flake who will run off at the first opportunity. 4/5 Also, @rSlash your reaction to this story was f-ing adorable and your family is lucky to have such a devoted father. 2nd story: Mmm neglectful father syndrome…damn who knew this line up would trigger me so much..? 🤬🤬🤬😤 Good on OP for being the grownup in this situation and doing what (unfortunately) a lot of males feel too uncomfortable doing. His father needs to grow the f*ck up. That man needs at least 4/5 for being so cruel to his daughter. 3rd story: GET OUT NOW OP!!! Get out, get out, get out!! Stay with you parents for awhile and think about what kind of impact that d-bags behaviour is going to have on your kids long term. If one of those kids is female, it will be even worse! I grew up with a very similar father figure and it was absolute hell and just got worse as I got older. Please, please, please don’t let it go! Nothing fixes dudes like this and it will only go from neglectful to out right abusive! 5/5!! (This line up was seriously triggering…I know the OP’s in these posts will never see my comments but f*ck, I just can’t stay quiet on these ones!)

Agreed on the daughter birth thing, I had twin girls this year in April and I vividly remember when the doctor got them out via C-Section, and it was one of the single most emotional moments I've ever had in my life. My wife and I were both balling our eyes out, hearing them cry and seeing the doctor holding one up, then the other. Football, nor any sport or activity, can ever come close to replicating that feeling, not to mention the bond that goes along with going through that with your significant other. Awesome vid, thanks for the amazing content!
