Story 2: 3 years? She’s f*cking 3 years old and your mad that a three-year-old doesn’t do all the stuff you want while your mama’s boy son never complains about what you want to do? And I get what R/ is saying, because for a minute, I actually thought OP was talking about a boyfriend and assumed her daughter was a preteen at at least who just wasn’t adjusting well to her mom’s new relationship. I was taken aback to realize she was just talking about her son and comparing him to his 3 year-old sister.

Story 3: I’m sorry, the daughter was FOURTEEN???!!! Your fourteen year old daughter is sa’d, has a MISCARRIAGE, was BEING ABUSED, and you think your husband was CODDLING HER????!!?! God I don’t use this word lightly, but OP is a compassionless monster. This is some kind of abuse and neglect, and she’s mad at her husband for being a good dad??? And the "excuse" the daughter said that it was "either her or him" I think is a gross aggageration at best and an outright lie at most. She was only three years old, too. Children can sense even as infants when a parent hates them for merely existing. I sincerely hope that things have changed and that OP got the help she needed to be a great mother to both her children- but I don't think she did. She even blames a three year old for destroying her marriage when children are blameless. It's probably her blatant boy mom attitude and toxicity that got her husband to rethink his marriage to OP. Story 3: I was trying to figure out what was up with Op until Rslash mentioned Warped realities and suddenly, it clicked. Op told the daughter that she was also sexually assaulted, so why was the husband a better parent about the situation then Op, who was assaulted? Op didn't mention who assaulted them but I'm betting She's projecting onto the daughter in a way. After all, Op was assaulted and came out fine, likely without parental assistance to boot. So the daughter, who likely had only one person on her side at home, reacted to the situation she was forced in. The daughter behavior tells she doesn't trust her parents, or at least didn't trust her mom, because her solutions to the problems forced on her were to run away and hide. Now, the wedding part. notice how the daughter chose the father. I don't have an opinion towards the father for this segment as I'm not sure personally, but still, the daughter still *chose* the father to be at the wedding. The daughter has learn by now that dad will have her back and is willing to be her safety net if needed, while the Mom's main contributor to her life is also being a victim of passionate hugging without consent. Also, where does Op get off sassing the daughter to the internet for a second wedding when she is also divorced and remarried, more so since the daughter's first divorced was about *domestic abuse* who wants to bet that the mother, about finding out said something like "Well, I knew he was no good but you should also have a spine" or some other BS like that, saying you should be better and I told you so.

It seems like she repressed those feelings and pushed them down. When her daughter was having problems, it sounds like the mother wanted her to do the same. Push the feelings down and not talk about them. The husband rightfully disagreed and wanted to continue to support the daughter. The mother mentions that she revealed her SA to the daughter and the daughter appreciated the attempt to show understanding. The mother claims their relationship was mending. The daughter, rightfully not wanting anything to do with the mother anymore, having all the reason in the world to never speak with her again, showed the mother BASIC HUMAN EMPATHY when she shared that she was SA'd when younger. This mother is deeply traumatized, has repressed the emotions, never got help, and as such is passing that trauma down to her family.

Story 1: I was waiting to hear that she publicly embarrassed or humiliated the guy somehow... but it sounds like he asked, she politely said no thanks, and later shared that with her friends. Major overstep by OP here.

Even if the niece was being a mean girl, which she absolutely was not, the appropriate punishment is NOT a forced date. Even putting aside the consent issue, you've met this kid one time and decided that he can be trusted alone with your niece against her wishes. Maybe there's a reason she doesn't want to date this guy that goes beyond just not being into him and she may be too young or inexperienced to verbalize it.

What the hell is wrong with this mother???? Her daughter was assaulted, and instead of helping her, she treats the daughter like a bad person and keeps giving out punishments as though that's going to make everything better. I'm surprised she's still a pet of the daughter's life.

I can't belive OP 3. She is not a mother at all. Can't stand relatives that will turn a blind eye when someone gets SAed like that. I was cursing, hearing this woman talk about it. Her daughter literally went through the most traumatic thing that can happen to a woman, especially after the assault and getting pregnant by her attacker.

I'd bet OP in story 3 was raised by an abusive single mother.

First story: the uncle was punishing her for nicely telling the guy “idk, no thank you” and then nicely telling her friend “i just don’t see him that way, but he was nice.” What part of any of that was actually rude? She even said “i feel bad for potentially leading him on”. How is the Uncle forcing a date that will not amount to anything not leading on the guy even more and showing his utter disrespect for women?

Second story- you’re right, Rslash. This woman seems to be preying on her son and treating him like an adult, while ignoring and pushing her daughter away. She’s only three, but incredibly intelligent to pick up that her mother does not love her.

First story: it's impressive how OP can't see how wrong he is. Not only he overstepped his niece's boundaries, it's rich of him to say "I don't want her to lead him on" while leading the boy on by forcing a date. If anything now his niece will probably avoid the boy at school, and he'll have a worst heartbreak than he would if she simply turned him down but kept being friends; OP literally made things worst for the boy, while overstepping his niece's boundaries, all for his own stupid mentality. Also "I wonder why my sister is against me, when she was bullied in school until she became literally a swan". Besides the fact I doubt his sister became a literal bird, being bullied for not being conventionally pretty IS LEAGUES WORST than simply being turned down, and not comparable at all

story 2. the girl is only 3, of course she throws tantrums and stuff, that is what kids do at that age, the way OP was talking I was expecting at least a 10 year old, but then she said 'i gave it my all for 3 years'. hell, my daughter is 5 and is only just starting to get that if she is good, she gets treats and a stuff but if she is naughty she misses out on things and gets put in time out. there is a reason kids don't start school 'properly' until they are 5.

1st OP wants to talk about "leading people on.". What leads people on is going on dates knowing you ARE NOT INTERESTED. So he is forcing his niece to do the very thing he wanted to avoid. Let's hope the kid isn't crazy.
