I’m a huge comic girl and I have a remastered book of Dr. Strange comics that my uncle gave me that is practically one of my pride and joys, and I got a couple others at Comic Con in 2019. And for my recent 18th birthday, the same uncle gave me another really cool comic featuring the origin of Dr. Strange. I ain’t letting anyone touch it without gloves, lol!

So as an artist, I have artist friends. We all have different mediums. (I paint, one dose digital, one sculpts etc) Whenever one of us wants a peice of art, we tip twice as much as the cost. We dont charge much so it's like $10 tip and a $5 commission. We do it to help each other out. We know art is expensive and our friends undercharge so we pay extra so they can still do it for others and themselves and maybe get something they want

Oh yeah, a friend of mine is an artist who gave me 2 paintings for my birthday (2 different birthdays, years apart). I want to commision her to paint a door, and I actually started with 'Can I pay you to do x? Just to be sure, I want to give you money for this!' just because ppl ask for free things and I really don't want her to feel like I expect her to give me anything for free and be put in an awkward position because she gave me stuff for free in the past. Like, no, I respect you as a friend AND an artist, I want to pay you for your time! I've also had another friend help me with something.... She was like: I'll do it for 200, is that a deal? Me: sorry, I have to decline, that doesn't sound fair at all. How about I pay you 250, I'd feel a lot more comfortable with that! XD

@@jovalleau No, you're absolutely correct - silver dollars are legal tender, (and at face value) but you'd be kinda stupid to use one when you could sell it or pawn it without too much effort. (I'm imagining that depending on where you are in the USA you're never too far from a bank, jewellers or pawn shop.) The price varies massively depending on year, going from a few dollars for the later ones to over $300k for the rare old ones. The Penny Black couldn't be used as postage, even if you had lost your mind and tried to use one.

@@Mogijup dependapotamus is basically a woman who marries a soldier or other military members then gets fat and leeches off of them they also think they hold the same rank and benefits as their military spouse without going through the process of joining like basic training/boot camp for example a woman marries a Captain after marriage she start to get fat, tell other lower rank soldiers to salute to her, and like in this video "I should get a discount cuz all I did was marry a soldier" btw if you marry a soldier you only hold the benefits of a soldier family like free health care not the discount soldiers get in restaurants you're doing fine btw some people may not get it cuz its a military slang
