i was in a toy store once, and a little girl asked me where something was. I told her that I didn't work there, but I knew where the toy was, and pointed her in that direction. She thanked me and left. Not 30 seconds later, a Karen asked me where something else was. I told her I didn't work there. She then said (in an entitled Karen voice) "But you helped HER!" I said "I happened to know where her toy was. And she was polite about it." The Karenovirus, it spreads.

I had a great aunt, who in the 1950s, was married to an officer stationed in Japan. At that point, officers wives weren’t expected to do anything but socialize, and she wasn’t about that. Instead, she got a job teaching English at a Japanese school. Well, the base commander felt it was “unseemly” for a majors wife to work and ordered her to quit her job. My aunt went into his COs office and ripped him a new asshole about how she was not in the military and thus he had no authority over her and did not quit her job. Nothing was ever said again. This is why we all admire and aspire to be like Aunt Helen.

I think the funniest "I don't work here" interaction I've ever had was years ago. I was 14, very obviously looked 14, and was wearing my school uniform. Red polo and khakis. Made the mistake of going to Target with some friends. This woman tried to ask me about something in the kid's section, and I kept telling her that I'm underage. Took me asking her "Ma'am how old do I look" for her Karen hazed-eyes to realize that, yes, I am 14 years old. She told me I should have said something sooner and huffed while shuffling away 😬

The end of that Gamestop one was hilarious. "So I'm guessing that's a no on his employee discount". Just HYSTERICAL laughter from me

I really wonder if that last Karen's CV and application letter looked like: "I have very good social skills and can work well with different kinds of people." (I mean, let's be honest; we all use that in one form or another since we're taught to do so.)

The first one is literally a "Take me to your manager" Karen move but for once it's being used for good instead of evil.

I remember one time I thought some random customer at a place was an employee. Half way through asking them a question I noticed their shirt was just the same colour as the employee uniform and that they didn't actually work there. I just said, "whoops, my mistake" and found an actual employee because I'm sane I guess.

As for the lieutenant who ordered the active duty to bring wife. That is an unlawful order and dosen't need to be obeyed unless the wife is in the LTs chain of command also. Otherwise a LT cannot order a civilian not employed by DOD to do anything nor can the hold the spouse accountable if the wife blows off the LT. Sound like the LT is an academy graduate and need a little dose of reality

I don’t work here and neither do you. Lol. I’ve had my fair share of run ins with Karens and chads. A couple of my favorites: one night I was working at walmart filling in a position for a door greeter. A.P.C.H as we like to call them. My boss had just told me that at 8:25 to not let anyone else into the store as we closed at 8:30 and it was a big hassle to corral everyone to the checkouts and then to the parking lot. It was an easy job. Check people’s receipts as they left, and tell them to have a good night. Well, one person comes in and I tell them that I can’t let anyone else in, and that we’re about to close. He obviously got mad and asked what time we closed. I told him 8:30. As we have since pretty much the beginning of the year. You know. Covid problems. Well as he checked the time on his phone (8:29) he said that I can still let him in. I told him no, that he in fact could not come in. We close in 1 minute and there’s no way he could have shopped for whatever the hell he needed in half a minute. Because timewise, they needed the other half to check him out even if he did shop. He got mad at me( a lowly associate) and told me to f****** let him in, and blah blah blah. I told him, again, no. He could not come in. He just then decides to say F it and pushed his way passed me. Sure I could have easily stopped him. I’m a big guy. 6’3” 255 pounds. Mostly muscle. But it would have gone against the rules( not to touch anyone unless you are touched first.)( as a code of conduct we couldn’t lay a hand on the customer unless otherwise told to. ) He pushed past me and I just let him. He was being an asshole about it and I don’t get paid enough to care. It is my side job after all. Another story I like: this man wanted to get a lightbulb from the automotive cages. Well, I didn’t have access to it( not my dept.) so I went and grabbed someone who worked there. The worker(we’ll call mark) said to the customer that management had taken away the key to the locked cages. I don’t know why they did, but now, even the auto crew doesn’t have access to it. Well, the customer (who is an elderly gentleman) said to Mark “I don’t want to sound like a Karen, but can I please speak to your manager?” I laughed so hard at this. I thought, well at least he knows. It was too true and sincere. He got his wish and talked with a manager in a civil way, got what he wanted, and went on his merry way. That’s how Karen’s should act. Let this be a lesson people. Even karens( who might not even be a Karen) can learn to be civil and behave.

That last story was MARVELOUS. I had an encounter (not a Karen) with a gentleman once who mistook me for a Walmart employee. I had just finished my shift at a Dollar Tree and I was still in my dark green polo and khakis doing my shopping. I don’t like to push my cart right beside me at all times so I sometimes leave it about 10 feet away from me as I get what I need. It so happened I was grabbing new work shoes for my boyfriend that night and I was trying to grab his size. How it worked out, I grabbed a few boxes on top of his size and had them stacked in one arm against my chest. All anyone could see was my head and khakis. As I grabbed the box I needed, an older gentleman approached me and politely asked where he could find shoelaces. I was a bit shocked and I looked back at him with wide eyes. Realizing the simple mistake, I slowly lowered the my arm with the stack of shoe boxes to reveal the embroidered Dollar Tree logo. He was apologetic for the mistake, but I DID know where the laces were and told him where to go. A funny little story on how “normal” people behave in such situations.

I used to listen to these videos when I woke up, but now that I work nights, I get to listen to them as I go to sleep

There's something about Karen's in stores. I was at a local grocery store and I was coughing because of the cleaning supplies I was going by. This lady went off on me for being 'infected' and 'trying to commit mass murder' or whatever BS she was spouting. I'm a teenager and she was a grown-ass woman nearly screaming at me. She apparently thought I had covid and was trying to kill everyone in the store. I simply cough a lot when my body thinks something I'm around is a threat to it.

There's few things I won't tolerate in my life. Being violently grabbed by some entitled jerk is one of them. They get a grip on me, and I'll be sure to force them into submission.

When a stranger angrily yell at me, i usually scream back with full strength. I have a loud voice, and fortunately enough, everytime i yelled back, they would just drop in silence. My favorite was when i yelled at a family in a supermall, i think that was the loudest voice i've ever yelled, just love it when my voice echoes in the whole section and everyone stop doing their activity then stare at me

The same sort of thing happened to me, with the families officer. My hubby informed me the families officer wanted me to "report" to his office at 2pm. So I went. Knocked on the door.waited politely to enter. Marched in, stood to attention, saluted and said "wife of 24xxxxx9 local whatshisname reporting for duty sir."(obviously real details. His jaw dropped. I stood there and gave him what for, like this lady did, and left. Next time I got a polite request to see him. Hed got coffee and a cream cake from the naafi as an apology....

3:55 Ex military wife here, I understand how new officers can behave, and I also understand how FRG, which is family Readiness group meetings can be in preparation for deployment and returning home from deployment, but unfortunately when you marry a soldier you also marry a military and Military isn't just focused on their soldiers they also focused highly on the families, that's why they give you so many extra perks when your married in the army. I was forced to go to these FRG meetings, I did not want to go I didn't think I needed to go I'd experienced it before but out of respect for my husband, my Soldier, and Military oh, I went. I don't think what this lady did was right and I guarantee it caused a lot of problems for her husband.

I worked at a walmart a couple years ago and had a dozen times of people asking me where stuff was even before I worked there, before I was even old enough to legally work. When I did have to work for a Walmart I had to help 3 different people find the exit with one of the 3 I had to lead her to the front to get the message. My favorite annoyance was I only had about 10 minutes left before I had to clock out since my store was cracking down on people staying later than scheduled. So as I cleaned up my work area some woman came up and asked me where to fine something so I lead her to the item. She thanked me as she pulled out her large list for her classroom projects that she was the teacher for. My eyes grew as we had to walk all over the place to find items occasionally back tracking to the same place because she didn't organize her list and trusted her students to have done their work and cheek everything was on our website. Yeah, so in the end we got through most of her list before my manager wondering why I hadn't finished my end of shift stuff found us running around and had to rescue me so I could leave.
