Never understood why people would be rude to people starting out at the gym, always makes me uncomfortable to try going to the gym.

"Stop letting your dog poop in your yard or we'll hurt it!" That sounds like a solid defense when you get taken to court for burning their house down, tbh.

The last one reminds me of my Mom's own bit of petty revenge at annoying neighbours. They told her to plant more flowers in her garden or they would, water it more often or they would, etc. Mom didn't want to let them have any sense of control, so just letting them wasn't an option. She bought a couple flowering plants, but filled the gaps between with fake non-flowering plants. They complimented the garden and didn't notice anything was amiss. Under the cover of night, she "planted" a few fake plants in their garden. Not only did they not notice, they diligently watered their plastic additions along with the rest. Mom retrieved her plastic plants in the fall when things were starting to die, and the neighbours never figured it out.

When I was a kid I lived in a neighbourhood with my aunt and uncle living directly behind our house, just a three foot high fence separating our yards. We had a dog, and so did my aunt and uncle. Our dog was too small to jump the fence, but my uncle's lab jumped it constantly and always came into our yard to have bowel movements (she was an incredibly intelligent dog). My dad was extremely annoyed about this because we kids played out there, and it more than doubled the amount of clean up he had to do. He talked to my uncle about it, but my uncle just laughed and thought it was great. Thing about my dad is that he has a short fuse, and he likes to make a point. So he starts dumping ALL the dog waste over the fence behind my uncle's shed. One day, months later my uncle storms over furious and asks my dad why he accused their dog of pooping in our yard when he just stepped in what must have been years worth of dog waste behind his shed. Gis dog couldn't have been using our yard! My uncle never figured it out, and my dad kept dumping all the dirt behind the shed.

That gym story reminded me of an experience I went through months ago. I'm in a peer support program that gets you out and about, working on goals to better yourself. Well, one of my goals is physical health and I can go to the local YMCA for free because their company pays for their workers to go with a peer for free. I had been going there for a few short months, no more than three, and would work out on the bike or treadmill or go swimming since I had only eight hours a week, spread between two days a week. Well, everything had been going fine for a while, I got a few dirty looks from the regulars but ignored them and just used my iPod to drown out the noises around me. Yes, I'm overweight, but I'm still mobile and am getting better little by little. Well, to get into the Y you had a door that they had to buzz you in through and to leave there was a rounded turnstile you're supposed to go through. I cannot fit through that turnstile due to my weight and the workers were kind enough to buzz me back out through the door with no issue. But then the one day a woman was at the counter and saw us waiting at the door to be let out. "You have to use the turnstile." I looked at my peer specialist and she answered for me. "She can't fit through the turnstile." (Referring to me). The lady huffed and buzzed us out but I found out on the way out to the parking lot that she had rolled her eyes. I lost my confidence to go back and haven't been back since and my peer specialist anonymously called the Y to complain about what she had witnessed and they said that they would take care of it. I know I need to start going back to work on myself but...it was that one experience that hit me hard. It hurt in knowing that a worker had acted such a way to someone trying to lose weight. Yes, I know, I'm not a member, I can't afford $380 a year, but still...

The last one kind of reminds me of my old neighbours. We had a Chihuahua and he'd go out in the dog run beside our house (the side where the neighbours lived). Sure he'd bark a little bit... that's what dogs do, but it wasn't much and we always dealt with it quickly. Well... let's just say that they weren't okay with this. They'd attach profanity filled letters to our door, call bylaw on us, and even spray our dog who was very obviously a senior... with a high pressure hose.

I think the dandelions ABSOLUTELY belong in prorevenge because they'll be popping up for the longest time. Not to mention to truly kill them with weed killer you'd be killing many other plants... Your garden and hard would look hideous and not taken care of... And it's a ton of work to get everything back to the way it was, up to a whole year. Gardens are no joke

Dandelions....poor plants. Brought all over the world to eat as greens. Spring leaves are delicious, as are the flowers. In fall, eat the root. Here's a little thing about dandelions most ppl don't know. The flower heads lay down when the plant feels a vibration in the ground. A vibration like a lawn mower creates this reaction beautifully. It's why there's still flower heads when you're done mowing, they pop right back up! Lol genius plant

honestly the one about the spin class is exactly why I'm afraid of going to the gym (or I was, pre-covid). it doesn't help that my mom would always say "we" need to lose weight, "we" need to go to the gym, "we" need to lose weight, all at a time when I was fairly happy with my body. this led to me slowly coming to be disgusted with myself, and it even got to the point that I started tracking my caloric intake almost obsessively, even to the point of nearly having an anxiety attack if I realized I'd went over 500 calories. 500. in a single day. for reference, an 8 to 12 month old baby needs between 750 and 900 calories per day. and the kicker is that my mom started to complain when I didn't track my calories anymore, and even after I confided in her about my problem, she didn't seem fazed at all. she's a nurse.
