This was a very well made tutorial video, although I was caught off guard when the narrator changed halfway through.

The headlight you sent looks different…it’s round instead of flat, and doesn’t leave room for the bolts like the video describes.

After messing with it some, I discovered that if you loosen the nut a lot, that version of the light will give enough space to get your wrench in. It’s a bit deceptive because you can adjust it up and down with a limited range out of the box, and you think that’s all the flexibility it has. Hope this helps someone.

Mine just arrived and it took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes to assemble because I'm slow. For the front wheel installation, you can just flip the bicycle upside down if you only have one person to try and match the caliper. If the second bike ever arrives then I'm sure I would do it much quicker. It's honestly not that difficult. Hopefully the rain stops till the next couple days so I can actually try it out.

They should specifically mention the battery charing - especially the "battery balancing" for the first three rides. I deal with a lot of rechargeable batteries and have never seen that before.
@cvshav

How do you recommend charging the battery??? I heard there's a trick
@RadPowerElectricBikes
@RadPowerElectricBikes Год назад
Hey there! You can find more details about charging the battery here: radpowerbikes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044484033-Battery-Charging-Guide
@jonathanmeadows6665
@jonathanmeadows6665 Год назад
you'll still need to navigate that link, but here's the hard work anyway: Battery balancing is an important process to help keep your battery in great shape for years to come. This process will help ensure the cells in the battery are balanced and operating as efficiently as possible. The process will involve riding your bike, then charging the battery after each of your first three rides. After completing the battery balancing process, charge normally as needed, and only repeat the battery balancing process when recommended. Battery balancing should be done when a battery is new, after a period of long-term battery storage, if experiencing noticeable range decline, if instructed to do so by Rad Power Bikes Product Support, or up to once per month. Note: Do not perform battery balancing more than once per month. Take a look at the Battery Charging Steps in the section above to learn how to charge the battery. Note: Never leave a battery unattended while charging. Take your first ride. Ride the bike and use power assistance (the pedal assist system or the throttle) normally. After your first ride: Charge your battery for as close to 12 hours as possible, but not longer than 12 hours. Charge the battery even if you only used a small amount of battery power while riding. The charger indicator lights may change to green and red to show that the battery is full, but keep the battery plugged in and charging for as close to 12 hours as possible. Take your second ride. Ride the bike again and use power assistance (the pedal assist system or the throttle) normally. After your second ride: Charge your battery again for as close to 12 hours as possible (even if the charger indicator lights turn green and red). Do not charge the battery longer than 12 hours. Charge the battery even if you only used a small amount of battery power while riding. Take your third ride. Ride the bike again and use power assistance (the pedal assist system or the throttle) normally. After your third ride: Charge your battery again for as close to 12 hours as possible (even if the charger indicator lights turn green and red). Do not charge the battery longer than 12 hours. Charge the battery even if you only used a small amount of battery power while riding. Take your fourth ride. Ride the bike again and use power assistance (the pedal assist system or the throttle) normally. After your fourth ride and beyond: Charge your battery after each ride by following the Battery Charging Steps in the previous section. Remove the charger from the battery as soon as you see the charging indicator lights on the charger change to one green and one red light to indicate that the battery is fully charged. This usually happens within 3-7 hours of charging.

Funny thing is, the video came out when I finished assembling my Radmission 1! 😂 But I watched the previous video and that worked pretty well. (I mean these are almost the same with some added new clips to the newer one) One thing I would like to ask about the headlight, is that rectangular shape one has been changed with a circular shape headlight or I only got that unit? The rectangular one looks cooler tho :'( That's why I'm asking.

My cables come around the right side of the front post. It kind of came out the box like that with the handlebars on the right side...but this video shows the cables coming out the frame going on the left side of the post? My cables aren't that long so doesn't fit well on the left? Has this design changed since the video?? Thx for any help.

Any tips on a torque wrench that will fit between the headlight mount and the handle bar face plate? I have tried two and neither will fit into the Allen screw heads as there is not enough space. I have tried the Bike Hand Brand and the EPAuto brand. Neither fits.

@SuperShadow
@SuperShadow Год назад
@@neversulky Doesn't look like it. Manual doesn't say why, either. Maybe it's just in case the brake cables need adjusting. Manual says 60 Nm torque wrench, but we aren't messing with the bottom bracket, and if you have a regular pedal wrench you can't measure torque, so I guess you only need: - bike pump - bicycle grease - 15mm pedal wrench - 8mm wrench - torque wrench with 6/10/15 Nm settings and 4/6mm bits

Update: I assembled the bike. All (non-torque) wrenches etc were included. The hardest part was the disc brakes: Both of them needed adjusting. But the front rotor had too much wobble to account for. I didn't use grease or worry about torque. I plan to take it to a shop and get the front rotor trued. By the way, the warning at 8:16 is very important. You don't want the ball bearing to fall out.
