Great shout-out to Rod Strickland, one of the best handles in NBA history. A lot of pg's don't get the respect they deserve because they don't necessarily shoot/score a lot (Rondo, Strickland, Kenny Anderson, Sherman Douglas, God Shammgod, Rafer Alston, Jason Williams, Pearl Washington, etc).

@@akeemsmith3096 AD was their best player for the whole run, but Rondo was the true difference maker in the Heat series. He raised the entire team's floor, he increased their efficiency and still hit shots. Not to mention being a connector on Defense as well.

15ast 10pts 10rbs and 5stls was a Rondo Regular in is Celtics Prime. We should've NEVER traded him! He should have been a Celtic 4 Life! 🤦🏾‍♂️ Definitely one of the purest PGs of the 2000s. CP is the only one left that is a traditional Floor General. These cats in the comment don't know how the culture respected his game. That 9 and Rondo were said all the time when he played.

Rondo is a hall of Famer in my eyes. He was extremely impactful in the game. He would control the entire game both sides of the ball. When he was on he would give you 18 pts 12 Reb 16 Asst 4 stl 2 Blks take 3 charges he just took the entire game over.

J Kidd is a notch above Rondo, both were dawgs on defense and were 2 way players who could rebound from the pg position but J Kidd running the offense was truly magical... But his size made him a greater threat than Rondo on both defense and offense.

I remember years ago when Rondo was still on the Celtics. Matter a fact Ray Allen was still on the Celtics and the news was on talking about the highlights of the Celtics game that was on the night before. And they said Rondo only scored two points and I was like WOW, HOW, he sucks. But what they failed to mention on audio/verbally that he had 24 assists that game. If I never looked up at the tv screen I would never knew because I wasn’t looking at the tv at first. I was getting dressed and only listening in. I believed he also had some rebounds and a few steals. But 24 assists OMG THATS AMAZING. 24 assists and 2 points that’s definitely playing team first basketball.

Man I fucking love Rondo. I was in 5th grade with those Celtics team. I learned so much from Rondo , Ray, Paul and KG . They made me fall in love with basketball. I would practice things they did and how they did it. It allowed me to get really good . That team was fun to watch

Rondo was in top 10 MVP conversations from 2010-2012. People like to mention his teammates, but none of them made MVP selections those years and they don’t mention that. He was the best player on that team and a top 10 player those years. He was also carrying them those playoffs. He’s the GOAT.

As a Lakers fan, Rondo scared me more than any other Celtic in 2010. Also, I’m sure Heat fans feel the same because he was ballin in 2011/2012. Maybe the most underrated PG of the last 15 years. Might take prime Do over CP tbh

Rondo inspired me to do that in high school 🏫. My coach told me stop doing that in practice. I asked, “Why?”, and he replied, “Do you ever see assist counted in the stats in the news paper 🗞️? Naw! It’s points and rebounds, and you the best scorer on this team. We want you to shoot the ball, because it has best chance of going in. Because of your advantage.” Which was saying a lot because I was undersized PF/SF. It was a valid point for my team but I love Rondo’s game!❤️‍🔥🫡⛹🏾‍♀️💯
