If you still have a chip on your shoulder about that after all this time, then I'd say that's a YOU problem. Blacks do NOT have a corner on the market when it comes to past oppression and injustices. My own ancestors include French Huguenots who were tortured and killed for refusing to convert to Catholicism, a woman who was a defendant in the Salem Witch Trials largely just because she had a bit of a sharp tongue which caused her to make a few enemies, and a peaceful family of settlers who were brutally slaughtered by an Indian war party for no reason at all (The only survivor was their young son, who hid in a hollow log during the slaughter and then afterwards went to live with neighbors). I remember those things, but I don't have a chip on my shoulder about them, and I DEFINITELY don't use them as an excuse to harbor grudges and hatred against the descendants of the people who committed them. That's no way to live.
