I LOVE how you refer to regular bodies as 'happy' bodies, because that's exactly what it is! This channel is so spot on with where we are as a society right now and your platform is seriously helping so many people
@@spamaway2574 I don’t understand sometimes why people lie. Like why what did u gain from that. They love the attention and being number one but just why.
Celebrities don't realize that it's okay to be HUMAN. I mean, I'm sure we'd love to see more celebrities we can resonate with. Having bloating sometimes is normal. That having not so 'perfect' skin is normal. We. Are. Human.
So if they have bloating that makes the person feel better because they are like them? So that means they need to put someone down in order to make themselves feel better?
They know they can be humans but the world doesn’t let them. They get dragged for looking human. These comments get to them nd they feel insecure, so they edit to at least limit the bashing
Nobody lets them be human though. They are excessively scrutinised for the way the look natural, if they get adjustments or edit their photos they are dehumanised by society. They get shamed no matter what they do, it’s degrading and rather disgusting. I wish people didn’t think they’re entitled to hate somebody for the way they look, the problem is on them not the celebrity.
I love how you’re like “she needs somewhere for her internal organs” 😂 like of course! We all get so hung up on having a ‘small’ waist that we forget what’s actually realistic and healthy.
i know right! and we also feel down when we sit down and we get stomach rolls, but its like - where do we expect all our internal organs to go?! They either go outwards or they get crushed lol! Our bodies know what they're doing, they aint stupid! x
True, but we also have to stop saying “that is beautiful”... is normal but is not beautiful... a bit of dedication to tone fat is beautiful, not encouraged laziness ... say instead “that’s totally normal but if you don’t like it you can do something about as long as you feel confident with” but stop saying beautiful! This 2021 trends that will kill our freedom of speech, this cancel culture... please! If is to encourage unhealthy habits saying that is beautiful...is normal but can be fixed in an healthy normal way ... beat the filter trend and let’s stop to fakeness and just encourage what’s healthy (as doctors recommend) and kill stupid trends... fat is unhealthy and UGLY!
@@ralu1651 there is absolutely nothing wrong with a female nit having a flat stomach. It depends on many things like the size and length or her torso, her height and width and genetics. No woman should feel pressured to change herself. Move your body and nourish yourself to be healthy and live your best life - NOT to get a smaller waist.
@@stephanielange exactly my point! But when you have filters from unhealthy “influencers” such kardashians or whatever their names, we should stop saying “ that is beautiful”... more of “ stop using filters”. I’d say “ you are fat and stop promoting filters and surgery and start working on yourself in an healthy way if you’re not happy with your body”! I personally do not understand these trends ( east Europe location and we say fat when fat person and we say fake when s** filters in place)
Bruh. I’m SO SICK of “body goals”. I’m so sick of distorted social media bodies and faces. I’ve been starting to post ig stories where I don’t use any filters and if I have a blemish I don’t cover it. And at first I felt so ashamed. But like… no one cared? No one called me horrible things lol. It was ok. I lived. So now it feels so freeing!!!!! Just my face. As. It. Is. I really hate how we think these fake images are worth hating ourself over 🥺
I can understand you very well! I used to never go outside without make-up and I didn't like my huge butt including cellulite (extend between 2 & 3)! meanwhile (at the age of 36) I didn't care about anything... I go outside the door without make-up and my bottom doesn't interest me either! if you don't like it, you should look away... as long as I can handle it and my boyfriend still thinks I'm beautiful, it doesn't matter! i never liked the kardashians and i don't understand the hype either...
As someone who struggled with very severe anorexia in my teen years and still struggles a lot with body image, I really admire you for this little series of videos you've been putting out. Social media has such an influence on vulnerable young girls and women of all ages these days, making them feel they need to look a certain way that just isn't attainable, practical, and isn't even real most of the time. It's just sad. Social media could use a lot more people like you.
Another great message. So funny how a few years ago everybody wanted that straight up and down body, it was so on trend, which, as a curvy girl, made me feel incredibly fat and like my hips were huge!! Now an exaggerated hourglass is on trend. We really need more variety being showcased in the media!
@@julir4710 it's madness isn't it!?! Makes you want to shake these youngsters and talk some well learnt knowledge about a thing or 2 that they shouldn't have to go through like we did. I have uber curly hair which was the last thing on trend in the 00's, but now it's in. I wish I could have a talk with the younger me and tell her to stop straightening her hair everyday
Right?! I also grew up with the super skinny body trend, and also as a curvy girl I felt so fat :/ but lately it’s now a curvy hourglass body trend but I still feel ugly because I have hip dips and a lot of things I don’t like about it. So now I constantly have a conflict of feeling both “ too fat “ and “ not curvy enough / having the ‘ right ‘ curves “ because of growing up with both beauty standards :(
A little bit of "tummy fat" IS NORMAL! Why does society look down on it? Remember U have nothing to be ashamed of if you are reading this, you are beautiful! (Also your content is great!)
@@Simplelivingslowliving and: what happens if you have no fat reserves when you get sick? When my mum went through chemo she simply couldn't eat... had she not had fat Reserven she would have gotten dangerously underweight within weeks.
I know that this is targeted towards women/girls but really men need to understand this and see this as well! I understand it’s a whole different story, But seriously the delusions men have about what women/girls should look like is so so wrong it’s really sad! Women should NEVER try to look good for anyone but themselves, but it’s just really sad that men as well as women have such a crazy expectation of what women/girls look like! I could write a novel about this subject but yeah!
I blame social media and tv. Thankfully where I live, men here don’t even like to date women who wear makeup. Of course I do wear makeup sometimes anyway. But It’s just good to know that I don’t have to.
Absolutely, males tend to make women feel like they are not as beautiful as celebrities that are basically edited and are kinda fake!. I’m one of the lucky ladies that has a partner that adores my body, I suffer with body dysmorphia and I’ve battled with anorexia and bulimia for decades. After my 2nd child was born my hips and boobs changed. I still battle every day but I’m a role model to my son and daughter so I get active and try to eat healthier too. ✨🦋🤍🦋✨
It really saddens me that men literally believe that women actually look like that, they dont see that its all modified by an app, then reject all the women who have "real" bodies.
Im Young girl and all my friends are insecure of the bodies how they natural look like, everyone thinks its not good enough, its really terrible, it need to be stopped
An insecurity that started because a guy commented on her having really thin lips. Its actually really sad but the most disturbing part is that a LOT of people bought into it.
The thing with stomach's as well is that they bloat, you can't expect to be flat all the time. I can bloat so much but it's just part of being human. It's not even fat, its your body digesting food lol. It is annoying to even have to explain that, having fat on your body is normal too. But the point is that you cant lose weight that isn't weight, the only way to avoid bloating is to not eat and I think that's where eating disorders can develop
Or being on your period. A friend of mine calls it being Kätzchenschwanger... because it looks like having a pregnant belly the shape of a loafy kitten.
@@sisuguillam5109 yeees. Exactly what I thought. Women get all the crappy human functions lol I mean yes having children is a gift of God that I wouldn't trade for the world, but it doesn't mean periods, childbirth, puberty, taking longer, and menopause etc don't suck! Lol
Time of day matters too. I'll wake up with a pretty flat stomach. But then my posture gets really bad throughout the day. So after a big dinner and lazy posture, I look 6 months pregnant XD
I like how you are approaching this and not denigrating influencers' and celebrites' beauty, but pointing out that they are beautiful to begin with and that they are unnecessarily photoshopped.
some people have naturally small waists, and some don’t. both are beautiful. as long as you can comfortably get through the day, you can breathe through your nose, you can walk around and move your arms, you can chew with your mouth, etc., then there’s nothing wrong with your body.
I recently had a Convo with a friend who was complaining that she can't get rid of the softness of her lower belly. That's literally your internal organs. That's your uterus, your intestines. They have to go somewhere.
Here’s the thing: they’re bodies are still gorgeous without editing! Society has taught us that regular people can’t have those bodies. I love these videos cause it humanizes them
It's sad that men look up to fake women like Kylie, Kim, etc calling them beautiful and comparing them to natural looking women... Its Irritating... Kylie never uploads photos of herself without makeup or them being photoshopped.... She should never be an influencer, cause she is fake and looks down on other girls for not being like her.... so annoying.... Thank-you Stephanie, for pointing out how these celebrities are just Humans! You made me feel a lot more confident about myself 💟💟💟💟
@@bernie715 Exactly! They're Plastic, plastic, plastic. Like how can people love fake! Kylie was beautiful before all the surgeries, honestly! Now she doesn't even look real!
@@em84c but they're fake! I'm not saying that they shouldn't do plastic surgery, its their bodies they can do whatever they want. But normal women shouldn't look up to them! Cause they're fake! And their body goals are unattainable!

I mean who is even gonna believe that some normal human would look like a perfect edited model 24/7 . This needs to be stopped . We need a law across the globe that wouldn't allow this toxicity to spread . Edited pics needs to be mentioned as edited
Norway has passed a law actually that requires a disclaimer that says this picture has been modify etc. so people know that are not real. I think we all need that law everywhere.
Girls confidence really does come with age i was always self conscious about everything in my 20s im 31 and don't care anymore and love my body its beautiful and healthy
I've been so body conscience my entire life I'm 20years old and I'm very petite😭and short...at times i feel like i wanna lose weight a little bit around my butt areas and hips. At home they just say you're okay while I'm not...although sometimes i feel like they're right.. Thanks for the upload Stephanie 😚☺🙌🏽
i'm 5 ft 4 and very petite too! im more of a pear shape though, so im small on top and my fat stores go to my bum and thighs! And i love it! That fat is there in case i ever need to rely on it for my body to burn as energy (in case of famine etc). Our bodies know what they're doing! They're intrinsically wise and they store the fat for a reason - to protect us! It's beautiful and so are you! xx
I have been in the exact point you are now. What helped me was focusing on the parts of my body I liked, take care of my health (but not so much I would develop an eating disorder) and think 'f*** you' while smiling sweet as poison if someone commented badly about my appearance. Now I'm almost 30 and discovered that I don't have to love every single bone peaking through my skin, but it is okay as long as I am healthy and I still can love myself. And some men (or women or the gender you prefer) will find this exact body type attractive! And this person won't see the flaws as something bad, just as human. And that is a great thing
I love that you do these so respectfully! Also, I remember seeing someone on Twitter recently like “You know that little bump on your lower abdomen? I just learned that’s your uterus. I’ve been killing myself for years trying to get rid of my literal UTERUS!”, and I so related. It’s insane how hard we work to ‘fix’ things that aren’t even wrong with us!
Yes exactly. We have to carry babies to keep ya know...the human species alive. Crazy the amount of negativity when we have organs that are SUPPOSED to be there. That's why men are usually more flat in their stomach. They don't have a uterus lol
ITS NOT YOUR BLOODY UTERUS! Lmao! Please look at a diagram of a female human and see how many layer deep your uterus is! That's like saying "I couldn't get my boobs smaller but I learned I've been trying to get rid of my heart 🥺" The uterus is an organ which sits under muscle, fat, and skin. The lower belly is FAT, there are many people who don't have it. So tired of this misinformation lol
Since you've started making these types of videos, I've stopped looking in the mirror and instantly comparing myself to influencers or celebrities. I've stopped getting depressed by my body
thank you SO SO much for this. I never realized that my body type is actually similar to Kylie's in real life, just not the instagram edited version. Such a confidence boost thank you stephanie
Starting to love my 'guts' more and more too thanks to your videos! It's so refreshing seeing photos of actual people and looking at them, without hate, which makes me want to accept my own body so much more. The fact that the "body goals" or the "body standard" for women is literally not possible without removing a few ribs still blows my mind..
Thanks you Stephanie ❤️ Such videos really help me to gain confidence and realized there are no perfect people. I am so happy there are people in the world like you who do such good things for others, love you ❤️
I'd advise to never get surgery to fill a void, or to feel happy with your body. What is 'fashionable' for bodies is always changing (i.e like big boobs 20 years ago, is now no longer in fashion, so so many women are getting explant surgery). You are PERFECT and unique and powerful as you are naturally. You just need to find that within yourself, because trust me - it's there! Once you fall in love with yourself unapologetically for how you naturally are - nothing can bring you down!
@@stephanielange I want to, badly. BDD makes it seem impossible. I'm 35 and feel like I'm never truly going to be happy with my body it's like I can't see my worth bc of it.

There are so many gorgeous athletes outside with beautiful fit bodies, I respect them, not influencers!!
I wish we could somehow make every single instagram follower (of these celebs and influencers) watch your videos Steph. You not only talk sense but the way you present it is straight talking and doesn't bash any of the women involved. Hell yes. Axl is so lucky to have The👏🏽Best👏🏽 female role model there is! ❤
THANK YOU for making these reality check videos Steph, bravo 🙌🏻❤️ Every young girl should watch these to realize that what you see on social media is not reality. Even while everyone is kind of aware of the existence of editing and filters etc, it's not easy to see through it and realize how big the gap between the images and the reality actually is.
I really do appreciate how you always underline how everything is totally normal and totally fine. You don’t judge them too harshly for editing their pictures, you just stay calm and very professional. That’s wonderful! Thank you! It’s good to find someone who just doesn’t embrace one body type and shames the other
Despite having so many surgeries... U can see that the Kardashians aren't the best the looking.. They look botched.. Idk y since they have the best surgeons ... And they still photoshop... They r honestly selling a false reality.... Kourtney is the one who seems secure in her body
I love watching your videos, because of them I’ve become more kind to my body. It always amazes me how beautiful and normal their bodies are and the extent of photoshop they use to create these unrealistic standards.
These videos have really helped me a lot when it comes to looking at my body in a NEUTRAL way. You don't always have to LOVE your body, you can just accept it as it is and know that there are some days that you are comfortable and others that you are not! Just like some days your hair looks good and others it doesn't... I wish more people would watch your videos and really internalise them, but we have been conditioned to hate our bodies so much that it takes a lot of self-work to watch this type of content and actually believe it. Thank you so much for your work!!
Honestly, I love these videos so much. I was going down a slippery slope with my mental health after losing 12kgs, but it's videos like this that are helping me instil within myself that women don't actually look like Bratz dolls. I'm disappointed that this kind of photo editing is still a thing and widely accepted. Keep up the positivity! xx
Love the direction of your channel with these segments. I mean I've been here for years and always love all your content but this is so happy and healthy and positive and desperately needed in today's media culture! ❤

Honestly, if you made a podcast about body positivity, mental health, etc I'd love to hear it. thank you for making these, it helps so much with my body image and has made me stop comparing myself so much to influencers
I wish these videos would reach celebrities so they could understand how little we would care if they didn’t have a small waist or perfect “trending” body types.. It makes me sad to think they feel the need to constantly strive for an impossible level of perfection.
Thank you for this. I’ve been insecure over my body shape for years. I love hailey I think she’s gorgeous, and seeing that we share the same body type makes me feel so happier, because it’s common and should be normal xx
I appreciate that you show these videos to remind us that EVERYONE is human...with human bodies and human features. I also admire that you're not putting anyone down or doing this to humiliate any of these celebs/influencers...thank you!!!
I started appreciating my body after watching your videos 😊 I realized that I don't need to criticize about the way my body looks compared to others. It fact I have a beautiful body than these unedited pictures. Thank you so much ❤️
Preach girl, great content! Some of these edits that people perceive as real have long left any realm of possible and crossed over into Greek mythology creatures territory.
I'm sure they don't even realize that THEY are one of the reasons people like me and other women and girls are insecure about their bodies and the way they look. Can we make these beauty standards more realistic? Please? For the sake of our girls ❤️
@@hnyuq4049 sorry I should have clarified, I meant we should have more realistic beauty standards rather than looking like a bratz doll to be pretty. :)

Thank you so much for this. In the past few weeks I’ve been on a mission to start accepting and loving myself and my very normal, not tiny, not huge, body. I’m not a massive consumer of Instagram-type content (ie insta baddies - do people still call them that lol - and kardashian-esque public figures), but enough filters through to me that makes me question whether my body is ‘acceptable’ ALL the time. I’m tired of it. I just want to live and enjoy my health and my blessings. So that’s what I’m gonna do 🤘
she looks gorgeous either way :( I wish some didn’t feel the need to be this to their pics 24/7! I hope one day society will become better as in not setting unrealistic standards that we all know we’d never keep up with.
You're absolutely correct. Bodies with fats and flabs and double chins are happy bodies and some Victoria's Secret models will tell you that insane dieting and excessively working out are soul-crushing.
wow! In my head i know that Kylie's body on instagram is not real, but it was so relieving to see her REAL body! It is actually quite similar to mine. Thank you for making theese videos! It really reminds me to appreciate my body and be gentle with myself. Thank you!
everyday we keep forgetting to accept our bodies for what they are because of all the touched up pictures in social media so this channel really reels us back into reality
I personally think all that plastic surgery probably does not look good in person. It's scary that people are doing surgeries based on Instagram and internet reality.
Plastic surgery actually doesn't look good in person, and I can tell from my own experience, seeing in social media my mother's best friend, who at the time just did a lip filler and put on some botox in her face. Seeing from the point of view of her instagram she was sooo gorgeous and stunning, just like those kylie pics we see. However after 8 months of the procedure has been done I saw her in person and just went shocked, it didn't look like the photos I used to see, she was so different that at first I couldn't even reconize her. I was feeling very bad about that , seeing how unnatural her face and especially her lips became, so far away of everything she was posting about the procedure in her medias, influencing other women to compare themselves with a fake result.
@@ju8560 yeah, I know from seeing some people with minor surgeries, especially lips..it doesn't look good. The only exception are nose jobs. I know two people who did that and it's much better now.
YooOOo. I'm currently in recovery from Anorexia and these videos make me feel so much better holy. Keep up the good work, you're helping so many women ;)
I've always been fairly thin but I have bulges and cellulite and a co-worker who IMO was thinner was complaining how her stomach was bigger than mine and I said it isn't and I showed her I have a pooch just like her I just know what clothes look more flattering and she looked at me so surprised and I told her smoke and mirrors my dear, smoke and mirrors lol If you only look for flaws, you will never see the beauty.
We need to make these a series ! The Kylie part shocked me a lot. Like I know nowadays we live in a totally fake world where everyone is trying to look perfect but no one ever does, even knowing that seeing your video helped me to remind this to myself.

Darling beauty is always objective, changes in time, so if someone' s happiness depends on how they look, they waste their life worrying about every inch of their appearance and this is addiction about illusion. We can choose to feel happy as we are, more time for fun and healthy life with deeply caring people who doesn't care how you look, they love your kindness, supportive strong nature being free and authentic woman.❤
Another great video that celebrates the real human body and shows us how they manipulate the photos. This to me is so sa because this level of manipulated pictures is really reading havoc on the mental aspect of how we see our own bodies and really...how the celebrities must see their own bodies to (as not enough).
This is amazing. Im always talking about this ..unnecessary beauty standards. Everyone being different is unique and I love that. It reminds me of stedford wives ..they all look the same.
Comparison is the thief of joy. 💯 Even though I KNOW this to be true, my brain sometimes spirals into this negative thought pattern! PRACTICE TELLING YOURSELF YOU'RE NORMAL AND BEAUTIFUL!! 💗💗💗
So glad I found you. Don't pay attention to social media and never watched the K's. But I've always been super self conscious about cellulite. You make us all feel better about ourselves. 💙
Kylie looks so adorable in her comfortable clothes and has a lovely figure. I get it. I have body dysmorphia, and it seems like that’s very common in our culture. I’m know better than to diagnose anyone, but for me, it would be torture living in that sort of environment. I’d be drowning in body image issues and disorders.
You don’t “have rolls” when you sit. Your stomach is just being a stomach. When you stand and your stomach has a roll, that’s having rolls. Some people don’t actually realize what it is to actually be big. When I was younger, thought I was fat and was informed I was fat. When I actually became obese, I understood how wrong I was with so many things. Rolls, cellulite, double chin etc, that I thought I had was not even close to what those things are.
