Your welcome phillip and thanks for watching! Had this one for awhile now and still love it. I would recommend you buy a few extra sets of pinless spiral blades. They work very well but i did break a few until i got the hang of it. Happy scolling!
Great saw Johnathon,a lot of people knock them but I've owned mine just over a year and it has never missed a beat. It has been used to cut plywood,MDF and 3/4 pine for various sign making projects using Pegus painless blades. A handy tip is to remove the left hand side panel, makes lining up the bottom blade holder much easier and helps dust removal with a shop vac. I enjoy all your vids, keep up the good work 👍
Hi Lee and thanks for watching! After my scroll saw, this one is a gem! Like going from a Ford to.a bmw. That's two good tips, the panel removal and the Pegasus blades. I will check them out
Looks exactly the same as my clarke one only different colour only problem I ever had with mine was the tension knob started squeaking I just dripped a bit off oil in it and been fine since
Thinking of getting one of these. Can you recommend a good brand of blades? Particularly the painless type now you hopefully have had more use of it cheers
Hi Colin, firstly, thanks for watching! I am still really hapoy with this saw and i am using the Olson spiral blades. I have a variety of blades for different wood types, the greater the tpi (teeth per inch) the cleaner the cut but the slower it goes.
@@JohnathonWhittaker thanks Jonathon for the speedy response. I'm taking the plunge and 9rdering one of these. Regarding tpi on spiral blades, initially I'm planning on using some 8mm thick tanned European oak I have a supply of for some scroll work. Could you point me to what tpi I should be looking at for this ? Many thanks
@@colinwarner2861 for the spiral blades, your looking at about 40 tpi or more, buy a couple packs as you might break the first few. I would recommend getting a multipack of pinned blades as well with a variety of tpis.
great review, i use that saw and do some real intricate pieces with it, its an awesome little saw (i have some videos on my channel if you want to check them out....shameless plug haha)
Confusing I know! Although I.lived in Canada, the US, And now in England, I am actually from Barbados. Small island in the Caribbean. I tend to call my accent more international than any specific country
@@JohnathonWhittaker Wow, that's an interesting history! I knew I could here something in there. Anyway great vid review & I love this saw. Thinking of getting one.
Johnathon Whittaker a RU-vidr remaining nameless by me, gets all kinds of free stuff. He even got a mid sized tractor. That is when I got turned off. That plus he commented he didn't care what subscriber thought it's all about views. Sorry I wasted your time! Enjoy life, it is too short to waste.
