Re feeling safe with a man. For me, that means feeling safe not from danger. Rather, safe to become open and to build my life and fully bloom here. And if it’s not safe, we try to communicate in hopes of making it safe. If that doesn’t work, she will either keep trying or she’ll leave.

One thing that is so special about this Lady is that she answers the questions and then asks the asker, what do you think? Would you agree? What are your opinions? She is one of the rare people in today's world who is interested in listening more than she is interested in talking. Such a powerful woman, who showcases such amazing grace and power that comes out of genuine feminity.

🚩 "Red Flags" are tools for warning of danger, so whenever we see red, our brains activate a sense of caution. ❓ A Question Flag would be a more useful tool. Instead of labeling or judging unilaterally, Question Flags help you view issues from multiple perspectives and understand them better. When encountering issues in a relationship, instead of doubting and being wary, use a "Question Flag" to ask sincere questions with the intention of understanding the other person: What is going on with him/her? What happened to cause him/her to behave this way? How can we solve this problem together?

Omg you are so right! What it literally takes to walk away is not easy by any means! People who can advise walking away almost have to have that "right of passage" so to speak to have the right to even speak it. That's how huge walking away is to me! The actual act of walking can transform a person. Good or bad and definitely mentally!

I love listening to Sadia's conversations as they are so enlightening. I also struggle with receiving compliments and think people are lying or having low self-esteem. It's so weird I do not know why I downplay myself like that, yet I let other people shine. I know there's some childhood trauma there that needs healing. It's okay Sadia we'll work on it!

Enjoyed this conversation. Whether you're a parent or not, you were a child and were raised by parents, therefore you can give objective advice to a parent. And even though a person may not have your exact situation they are looking in and can see the things you can't so they can give insight. Everyone along your path has something to offer. I hope people stop discrediting others because they have not been through the exact things as you.

I can relate to some of what Sadia was talking about ( except the compliments - I love them). I give good relationship advice and as a social worker, I used to give great parenting advice and I don’t have children either and not married. I have the knowledge, experience, training, and wisdom and curiosity. As a therapist, you have to be able to build a strong therapeutic connection with your clients, give more than what’s expected, and continually being able to learn and develop as a counsellor.

Totally recognize myself. The more distant and avoidant men are. The more I want them. The more complicit the more I don't want. But raised with two parents with addiction. They prioted themselves. Took many years to start going another way. But the way is not to find a new partner. But to find myself. I also disappeared from myself as a 7-year-old. Just started giving and became a total people pleaser to those who never give. Now yes, almost 50 years later. People pleaser to myself. Gives what I gave to others to myself. But the toughest spiritual journey I've done. No dancing on roses. But stand firm and go my way. Not the programming that sat like the mountain. No more ever. I had to get real how i feel so i could heal.

Just listening to them talk about childhood, to any parents your middle child only knows if they middle of you tell them my 21 young adult child didn’t even tell me till until lately she didn’t even know she was. I tried to alway encourage your the only one with younger siblings and an older sibling. As I explained the same to the oldest and youngest. Your in your own special order. And I seen in Lewis channel he had a guest to say parent make sure your children know they belong with you there home is where they belong. That’s something that was a takeaway for me. That’s amazing to tell your children. Like Lewis said he felt like he didn’t belong. There is so much power in parenting. ❤️❤️

We learn by seeing others struggling to love each other... An there hearts fold... Rather then unfold into love...

The wisdom comes from one's own.challenges and experiences, but childhood challenges/wounds are surfacing and governing the dating world for the baby boomers (and all others). Our journeys are not just about us; it's to help uplift humanity. In the dating world, I didn’t realize until recently, how broken and afraid of love the men are out there. They are proclaiming that they want relationships, but they are truly seeking emotional safe-havens. I'm having issues dating as an awakened woman of self-love and respect and this intimidates men or make them run away (good for me!); I believe in establishing a friendship, first, and it gives me time to use logic and not emotions making decisions about "the guy". This allows me to see if he will be around or just looking for the next best thing. It's really sad to me that there's so much mistrust and lack of love in the people of our world. Great interview, Lewis and Sadia!

The safety part for women is so true, im 26 and not in a relationship but the thing i crave the most and i guess is also the reason that im single is financial protection, and not in a way that the man needs to provide for my needs at all times but I do not want to be put down because of my inability to meet up to the challenge especially in this culture of what do you bring to the table. It's sort of like a pressure that he'll look down on me if i ask him for anything, therefore I'm driven to put more effort on my self financially and i neglect my relationship needs

Everyone's journey is different, we all have lessons to learn - men & women...be yourself, treat others the way you want to be treated, keep it real, open communication, everyone has fears & has been thru some type of trauma. It's nice to have common interest & goals, be on the same page/vibe. We all have a story to tell in our book of life, what will your next chapter be. Love & Light ✌❤

Love this podcast so much and at the same time I would challenge the idea that you can’t have 100% confidence and zero % self esteem. Self esteem feeds from confidence so at the very least she has at least 50% self esteem
