So on this new to me Ford Focus, it was stalling after starting. Sometimes it would stall when the gas tank was full, sometimes it was stalling when it was nearly empty. Most of all, it was stalling when it was below 40 degrees outside. So I took it to AutoZone and had them read the code (by the way, get a OBD reader if you wrench on your own vehicles!) The code they pulled was the P0340 code, which was the camshaft position sensor. The guy quoted me $53 dollars for this sensor. I told him I'd come back later and left. I checked Rock Auto and they wanted around $43. I then went to NAPA auto parts and they had one for $19!
So this is how you're going to replace the camshaft position sensor on a 2010 Ford Focus with the 2.0 4 cylinder engine. It really is a quick and easy job (unless everyone wants to talk to you while doing it, or you're listening to the neighbors across the parking lot argue....inside their apartment! Yeah, they were loud enough you can hear it on the video!
