People reveal themselves with their word choice (there is an area of study in criminology called Statement Analysis that analyses people's written and spoken words). According to Paul himself he possibly could join exclusively with the other men, but he says he would tell Jessica--this is not good for her. I think Jessica made the correct read that Paul was not very loyal to her.
Bad move, but good tv, now the Gen X tribe is not that predictable anymore and I love it! btw great podcast as usual guys! Also I was triggered by Hannah too ...
I completely agree with Rob and Steve, this was an awful move for the Gen X girls and I feel like there must've been something else we didn't see... I mean, I'm happy with it like I'd rather watch Cece than Paul but it was a strange move... Unless the girls are making good with the minority in case they try and screw them over in a swap?
Did Paul get voted out because the women thought he was referring to them when he said "ladies your on your own"? If so that's pretty funny since the "ladies" he was referring to was actually the other men. lol
what makes you say that..? felt like he was telling the ladies that he would tell them if they were on the outs. why would he call chris and bret "ladies"?
Men from Paul's generation use the term "ladies" as a pejorative against other men with perceived lesser status. I'm sure you've heard it in used in old war movies and such where the drill sergeant might yell "Ladies get your gear it's time to move out" to a bunch of all male recruits. Watch the scene again in this context and see what you think.
you guys were so genuinely geek funny at 22:18, you were on the entire night, can i do a podcast about Rob does a podcast, or has someone already thought of that?
I saw it as a pretty good move. Paul was shown being useless in camp, plus I wouldn't put it past the guys to get rid of Cece and then want to keep David because he's weak and Ken because he's strong. The girls were at the guys mercy, now they are the ones in power, it just depends what they do with it. Though surely Ken deserves the Fishy because he got exactly what he wanted and the tribe are going to be too scared to get rid of him because of what he brings to camp and challenges.
Excellent move to rid of Paul, as soon as you think you are the big boss & safe you usually get the blindside. He talked the big talk but couldn't follow through, bummer lol.
If the Gen X women continue to vote as a bloc, then it could be argued that keeping CeCe around was more valuable to them, so that the women would at least stay even with the men.
The girls can still align with Dave CeCe & Ken. It's not likely the girls would be trusted by the the other guys now anyhow. Certainly not the first time castmates have aligned too early in the game only to realize their choice was not the best. Paul should have thought before he spoke, he deserved to get voted off. He was annoying anyhow & served no purpose in that tribe, he just liked himself alot.
