Jay is an all-star. The relationship between Adam and Jay is the real battle of the generals- except that they are brothers at heart and admire each other so genuinely. This cast is gold.
They're one of my favourite Survivor pairs, even though they're against each other. Like you said they really admire each other and respect each other and to see them share such an emotional moment together, but say at the end of it "that's why I need to vote you out..." They love and respect each other but are opposing each other for the same reason, they're out there for their families.
mike carson I'm sure there are people whose favourite player is Sunday, it's all perception and opinion. Why does it bother you that someone thinks Jay is doing a good job?
There is more to being an all star than just being on the right side of the votes. Jay may have aligned himself poorly, but he is well regarded by everyone in the game, has been behind some key moves and has a charisma on screen that you can't fake. He will be back. He's casting gold.
mike carson You must know very little about this game if you think Jay is just some surfer dude. Everyone wants Jay out because he has the best chance of winning( besides David).Mike Carson, I've seen your comments on other Survivor vids and it seems like 99% of the time you read the situation incorrectly
mike carson oh would you look at that, we have a Survivor statistics expert over here. just because YOU don't like Jay or think that he isn't a good player doesn't mean everyone feels that way. what polls are you even talking about? who exactly votes in these "polls"? I'm pretty sure the general opinion of the audience is that Jay is a likeable dude and this is based on comments, I have not seen one single person saying "I hate Jay blah blah" (except after he voted out Michaela but people who were mad about that got over it + most people were already loving that move). It's so funny how you act like this know it all and assume that "only girls like Jay" and at the same time you're saying that Hali and Sierra have a huge a fan base?? You lose all credibility tbh and I'm starting to think that maybe you're getting different episodes/info than the rest of us ...
Stephen last episode: "Flippers never win. There's truth in that. They rarely do well." Stephen this episode: "Why didn't Hannah flip on David? What a terrible move, what a terrible player."
But Hannah has nothing to lose literally......Will was in an alliance with ppl like Sunday and Bret(he had some chance at least with some move in the endgame)...Hannah is in alliance with David&Adam , basically 2 of 3 biggest threats of the season +Ken who is not playing the game but still has a better shot to win it ...Also she d not flip to the bottom coz it d be Adam&Hannah +Bret&Sunday and Jay in the middle... There is truth in the Fishback talk...flippers rarely do well, but you can t do much worse than Hannah rn
My point was more about showing, that Stephen was trying to have it both ways and these comparisons gave me a good contrast. It's not about the flipping, it's about the right timing.
We were blessed with players like David, Adam & Jay...all great players not afraid to make moves with great personalities and story. I dislike Hannah s move from a strategic standpoint, but love from a TV standpoint since she basically just made the chances of one of those 3 to win a lot bigger. Thanks Hannah.
Michael Celentano you must have serious issues if you can t even read other ppl s opinions without getting rude... go find sb to give you a hug so u d be less bitter about life.
Josh Yu Agree. Also that d be a crazy f3, and I think that IF Adam d bring up his family tragedy I think he d probably win....otherwise it d be a close battle between Jay&David and I d say David d has a slight advantage...tho this d be probbaly decided by final speeches.
Also I thought it was obvious from Hannah's discussion with Ken and Dave, that she wanted to get rid of Sunday more to keep Adam in line, and reduce his other options (i.e. she says Adam is playing hard, she doesn't want someone like Adam thinking Brett/Sunday are a lucrative team to go with) - which I think is pretty perceptive - Adam gave Brett/Sunday his word he'd work with them. I think Adam was seriously considering that trio since he was gunning for Dave.
Michael Celentano yeah I usually agree with a lot of their insight, but baffled by the Hannah criticisms today. It's clear to her that Adam is unpredictable because he's playing hard and thus he would be tempted to abandon their alliance to make a move. This was her cutting down that temptation for Adam and solidifying their alliance.
I feel like Adam has to make a move against Dave at 6 because if Jay goes it could be an Australian Survivor final 5. With Ken and David the couple like Lee and El. Brett and Adam on the other side like Matt and Flick And Hannah following Ken & Dave blindly just like Kristie did.
Another strong episode for Adam. Running the tribe and nobody seems to see it. Like the Sunday elimination for Hannah for much the same reason Rob states, though I'm not sure she's seeing herself as a Goat but maybe as a shadow puppeteer. Jay wins next immunity he's got a great chance to win.
Except Adam didn't get what he wanted. Adam wanted Jay or David gone, and they are both still there. He certainly played aggressively but that might not be so good for him moving forward.
Adam was able to make J flushed his idol and it's too soon to push his ideas on Hannah his loyal ally. Hannah wants to be the last girl. And she is probably going to the final with Adam, Ken or Adam, Brent or Adam, David. Leaving Jay without his idol now he really has to win all challenges or he is gone. J is the most likeable. Will see
For me is Adam, he is thinking, getting emotional, planning I am liking his game. Hanna is so cute and frontal faces, eyes, her hair. I think Adam is my choice.
I wanted Jay out so badly but then when you see Adam tell Jay about his mom and you see Jay cry and say to Adam that his mom has been really sick also, you automatically feel for Jay.
+Rob Has a Podcast Just wanted to point out that you guys keep using GOAT. Which means Greatest OF ALL TIME. Why do you refer Sunday as this. It just doesn't make sense.
Darryl Flinch The term "goat" has been used in sports to reference a "bad player" or someone who has spoiled a game since the early 1900s. G.O.A.T. was coined in the 1990s when Muhammad Ali's wife created GOAT Inc. or Greatest of All Time Inc., in reference to her husband. The term 'goat' has been used in Survivor since before pop culture's recent and random spike of the use of GOAT as the 'Greatest of All Time'. I've been watching for a while now.
S A L T Y T E A R S Got it! Thanks for explaining that. I started watching Survivor about 6 seasons ago. So you're absolutely right I had no idea about that. I did watch a couple of other seasons but I didn't hear anyone say that during any of the seasons I watched. I see what you mean though. Millennials like me use G.O.A.T but forget about those who used it differently in the past.
Darryl Flinch then i was wrong. whats the big deal? i dont see why anyone can make that assumption though, based on his behavior until now i actually think will be adam Ken Hannah and David at f4 Ken wins immunity and decides to take his alliance to the FTC (meaning David since Hannah is a lock). they are working together since the begginning and i really dont see Ken being snicky and blindside one of them.
Spencer Phelps i based my opinions on the edit. and i dont see how can an alpha male win when pretty much all of his plans for TCs are huge fails. i can see a winner who is on the bottom all the time and keeps winning challenges until the FTC (mike) but i dont remember an alpha male who is good at challenges (not great, sorry, David of all people won a challenge, if freaking David can Beat u, u cannot be called great imho) but keeps failing in all else. i will be very surprised if Jay wins.
based on the edit, David and adam are the only ones left imo. they both have very clear positive journey edits, David from being a mess to being confident in his decisions and leading his alliance (at least in other people's eyes - zeke, Bret, jay). adam with the whole sick mother arc is easy to see being an Easy sell with the jurors at ftc if he gets there (Jeremy did it sucessfully with the pregnant wife thing ) in the begginning i thought Ken was a strong contender for the title but he vanished for too long after the merge. very little airtime compared to adam David or zeke.
