Man Ron you have some incredibly beautiful country in your area! Wished I wasn’t on the eastern side of the country right now. Would love to check out those roads! Thanks for sharing your ride-a-long! 😎

Amazing scenery, I'm looking forward to your review on the new cam. I wasn't able to turn the idle up on my Himalayan, it has a different throttle body to yours. Mine doesn't have the air bleed screw or even an adjustable TPS sensor. Differences between UK and US spec I suppose. Excellent video, ride safe.

Well that is strange about the idle screw. Liking the cam so far. Tomorrow I’m hoping to hit the 300 miles so I can rev it up. I even installed a 16 tooth sprocket and it feels like it has more guts. I’m going to have to change back to get a complete picture. Thanks!

A truly beautiful part of the world. Did I hear you say you were running in a tec cam. I've been looking at getting a tec exhaust for my 650 continental, whats put me off spending any money on it is the poor handling of the continental on bumpy British roads compared to my dairy ride to work Himalayan. If only royal Enfield would shoe horn a 650 twin into a Himalayan frame ...

That would be absolutely perfect. I agree. One day maybe. The cam is good so far. A bit more oomph!

Hey Ron, did you do the cam install yourself? Beautiful ride by the way!
@swcoloradoadventures
@swcoloradoadventures Год назад
Hey Dan! Yes I did. Not super complicated at all. Just followed the video. It’s the most technical install I have done so I kinda psyched myself out a bit. But, the hardest part was removing the old sealant. Well, that and remembering where I laid my tools. But that’s every install. Thanks!

❓Have you gotten or thought about a hotter cam for your Himalayan? I will have some thoughts soon. It seems great, but I have not run it in yet. Love your thoughts ⁉

What company did you go with and are you noticing any extra power in the lower gears? I have the stage 1 from Hitchcock, going to get it installed this winter.

Hey there! Went with the Tec cam. And there are two things. I put in a 16 tooth front sprocket so raised the gearing. Even with that though, it really does seem to have more torque under 4 k rpm. Hopefully today I’ll hit the 300 run in miles and be able to open it up. It really wants to go faster which makes it really hard to go slow…when I do the review video, I’ll switch back to 15 tooth for an apples to apples comparison. Then I’ll do the 16 tooth thoughts as well.
