MAGIC.......No other word will do .. MAGIC...Taste, then Rory and his band and the various excellent musicians who accompanied him, they all had us riding on the crest of a wave.. The wave of music that Rory created, whether on albums or at concerts... Every album, every concert, unique, unforgettable .. As one of those fortunate enough to have seen this wonderful guitarist when he was still with Taste - thanks a million Rory G, for the music and the magical memories.. An exceptional musician and songwriter. An exceptional human being.......MAGIC...❤️✌️🕊️
Hi Joyce hope you're well thanks for the brilliant write up. We were really lucky to have been able to see Rory as part of taste. My first concert was "ten yeyears after " and my next was taste and I became an instant fan of Rory Brian ♥️ xxx
@@brianbutler4014 hi Brian.. those were the days .. went to a lot of very early 'Geordie' gigs (Brian Johnson before AC/DC)... A lot of bands before they got 'big'.. Taste, for me, was a game changer .. Rory blew me away . Hooked, as they say, till this day ...We were indeed fortunate... Take care my friend ❤️
Agreed! To me, the latter, instrumental part of this seems to expand beyond the song-like it evolves into what could easily be a spectacular movie soundtrack
Wow this is beautiful! Somebody really cleaned up the picture! Rory wearing heart and soul on his sleeve. Understanding he had a purpose. But knowing he would see her again. If he left this world without finding her, perhaps it's because she wasn't in it as the same time as he was. I hope he found her again , wherever he may be. Because he deserved to have that unconditional love while he was still here. But as I say...purpose. He was a messenger. And whether you heard it first hand then met the man, or you found out about him too late Doesn't matter. You found him when you were meant to. So enjoy. Because he had a lot to give, and never asked for anything in return. And may God rest his soul. 🌈🌌💚🍀🇮🇪
It's not a signature stratocaster it's just a standard 1961 strat. Rory's brother Dónal who was his manager, looks after it and displays it and allows certain guitarists to play it occasionally
Back in the 70’s I would go see Rory whenever he blew through LA and I was sad to hear of his pass ing a few years ago. His music was so soulful and he could absolutely shread a guitar, after one of his shows I remember thinking, wow, this guy is a true rock star, born to be one of, and a master musician.
Só quem aprecia e gosta do Blues rock é que valoriza estes grandes dinossauros do Blues rock como este grande guitarrista e lendário Rory Galleguer que jamais será esquecido .Obrigado
These are songs he rarely ever played,But are as significant as the rest of them.Very Emotional performance,he was a real poet. His first record is one of the most melancholic pieces of music I have ever heard. It is really great to see him evolve through the years keeping the blues and adding beautiful layers of more aggressive tones later.Rory was always true to the roots till the very end!!
Briliant just briliant, this has always been my favourite Rory Gallagher song, saw him play on a few occasions and just so grateful that I saw him play live, magical.
🎸Back then he was a breath of fresh air,how breathtaking his music is,that is lacking today. There ain’t nothing that compares. From his departure from the band Taste,to his triumphant Solo return to the spotlight.First concert with new band broadcast on French Tv featuring Wilgar Campbell (Dr) with Gerry McAvoy (b).There is a previously unreleased 50 minute DVD of Rory’s first-ever Solo concert which was filmed in Paris for the Pop Deux tv show with Rory’s eponymous 1971 debut solo album that’s released for its 50th anniversary.R.I. P Rory and Wilgar.Your music lives on.❤U4EVER ❤🎸⚡️☘️🇮🇪✨🌙💯.
In nearly every picture and video, Rory’s strat always had the excess strings coiled up. Must’ve been where the awesome tone came from…….funny, never quite worked for me though! A true legend!
Greetings from Argentina! I can't help but make a special mention for the drummer who wears the shirt of the biggest soccer team in the world, Boca Junios. Rory a number 1

Whoever made this channel for Rory, thank you. It came across my feed and I instantly subscribed. I discovered Rory long after he died, but I absolutely love his music.
With all due respect...why would anyone assume to presume what an audience is thinking? Perhaps you mean...the greatness of a musician cannot be fully comprehended until sufficient time passes...
@@karenshafer234 Good point. I guess I was referring to the audience reaction during his Irish tour at the same time where they definitely weren't sitting on their hands. But Rory is Oirish!
"Like a cat that's playing with a ball of twine That you call my heart Oh, but baby is it so hard To tell the two apart? And so slowly you unwind me 'Til I fall apart" Tel un chat jouant avec une pelote de fil Que tu appelles mon cœur Oh, mais bébé est-ce si difficile De distinguer les deux? Et si lentement tu me déroules jusqu'à ce que je tombe en morceaux ...
I love the way they geed off each other. Is it Jerry on bass?I think He and Rory had a special feel together. The band is great, great, great.Wish I had found him when I was young
