We are building our 63 c10 and we use your videos a lot as learning tools along the way. We do wish you were still making content!! We are excited to start the cutting and welding soon enough.
You are a craftsman. I would have thought that cab was a basket case. Good to see you wearing the face shield when grinding. Too many people think that wheel will always stay together.
thanks for your videos. They are really helping me along with my 64 C10. I have extensive floor repair and a pillar repair going on, and your videos is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks again!!
Let me tell you something Gibson63 when I started watching your videos going through a few things not knowing if you were an expert or just someone with a passion or both. Man you have a work ethic that we seldom see anymore. I have a 1961 Chevy Apache that I'd like to get going on, I just haven't worked much on vehicles since I was 15 years old. Well obviously simpler things like brakes, oil changes, etc., but nothing extensive. That being said I find myself constantly reading and looking through videos. You absolutely have made me say to myself that I've got to get this done. When I saw your 63' my mouth dropped open. I love it! I wanted a 63' because of my birth year, but hey maybe some day in the future. Man thanks for these videos !
We just made out first attempt at an outer floor repair on our 63, had to cut the back end off and splice 1 1/2' and cut the front corner and splice a pizza slice to fit too, out cab support needed to be cut the same way, almost seemed like we ended up fabricating it from scratch for how much we cut it up. Your videos have been so helpful to us, thank you so much! I need to work on my hammer and dolly work for sure too! been a long time since i used them.
You do amazing work. I used to be kind of bummed that my California C10 had a few rust holes in the floors, but I need to be grateful because it could be way worse.
Thank you for this great video, you do some amazing work and I am learning as I go and all of what you have done to your truck I will have to do to my 66 GMC. Thank you for this very informative and enlightening class!
Looks like the kind of rust we get here in Maine. If you're lucky enough to rescue one before the crusher gets it. You do great work. Thanks for sharing.
Man, you really are rescuing that nice old truck! First time I have watched your channel and have subscribed. I really enjoy how you do your videos, showing more in ten minutes than most do in 10 videos. Thanks man, keep at it.
Going back to your red chevy you have made some of the best tech videos on youtube . this is by far one of the the best I have ever seen. thanks so much for sharing.
I agree, and if I can expand on this idea, I am a total virgin about doing this and watching each and every miniscule step matters. It is fascinating. A true tutorial, rather than a parts parade with some grab-ass idiots. Thank you!
I've watched a LOT of your videos and learned a great deal from all of them. Your truck is, I believe, a '62 while my truck is an '86 - both Chevies. My truck is badly rusted but not as bad as yours. The repair principles are exactly the same and now I can see just how to attack mine. So, I've not only gotten knowledge from your vids, I've gotten courage. LOL Can't thank you enough for putting these videos up.
Thank you for making these videos Steve. I'm going to have to do everything you're doing on my 63 gmc with the factory v6. Neat trick with the witness board. Just started on mine with the help of my 12 year old grandson. We are replacing all brake wheel cylinders and brake hoses right now. Gonna try the body work myself and if it doesn't work out, I think I'll trailer it up to you.LOL Wish you were my neighbor. Kenny
Awesome job, Sir! I thought for sure that driver's side was going to be a beast to tackle when I first saw all the rust and rot, but the way you ate it up one piece at a time made it look easy. Great work.
you are so talented and you are an honorable man. I understand by what you were doing that you love your brother because of the work that you are doing on his truck only a brother that has love for his other brother can do something like this. may God bless you in anything that you do
the low parts of these trucks Needs a design change. If you look at all of the chevy truck floors.where dose most of the dirt and water end up.You need to bring the floor up by 1 to 2 inches to divert the water away from any corners or low spots.Just buy doing that you will no longer have a floor issue again
I'm a new subscriber and just want to thank you for showing your work so well and not having any music it's wonderful. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Great videos Gibson and great skills! I had to do some floor pan patches on my chevelle floor but my 65 C10 needs floor work, rockers , cab corner kick panel patches quite abit more extensive repair like you been doing . I think ill be able to tackle it after seeing your videos thanks so much!
I'm looking at doing the same fixes to my 64 and 66 c10. I also have a 64 c20. Though I don't think it'll be easy, after watching your videos, I know it's possible. Thanks for the videos
Great job brudda! I had to re subscribe for some reason, but I've always learned something from your videos. I have to do this same thing to my 84 K30 but mine is the little worse than your truck. 👍
Subscribed! Thanks for going through all the trouble of documenting this just to teach us with no personal benefit. Did you ever consider having the cab blasted to see the cheese easier?
Love these old trucks. Good to see someone helping save another. You are doing better about explaining every video.talking more, showing what your doing. What are your plans for the truck ?
