It totally is and that's what I LOVE about this bit.

This is NOT the first time Laura has pulled out the mom voice. She has had it long before Ronin was born. The funny thing is that they all fear her, but Sam has an immunity because he has courted death by Luara Bailey for years. Occasionally her sheer wrath can still shake him, but only temporarily.

@@Michael-bn1oi Strong alcohol is strong. The proof of the absinths peers has no relevance, Sam would have been set for a while with the absinthe alone.

​@@Michael-bn1oi True partialy, most absinthes you find now are simple 40% alcohols and artificialy green colored, but the real absinthe, the one popular at the end of the 19th century, is way stronger than common superalcolic of today, like 70-80%.

@@fabiovarra3698 in my country we have this alcohol called Tatra Tea, its alcohol u put into u tea in the mountains during skying to warm u up, we have bottles that range from 22% up to 72% and the 72 one is a real kicker.

So apparently (according to a comment sam made on a different video) he didn't think ANY of the ingredients were gonna be real, so when he drank it, it was actual shock

@@WLxMusic absinthes reputation is pretty overblown, it isn't actually *that* much stronger than any other spirits (it also doesn't cause hallucinations). "Real" absinthe is also usually more of a pale greenish yellow, but the cheap stuff is pretty intensely dyed and tends to bump up the ABV from what I've seen. The thing is, it's a very, very intense anise/licorice flavor, and if you put more than a dash or two in it will overpower pretty much anything else.

You can see her face throughout the bit of "oh god no"
