@benstevens7360 in my opinion, Abirdged is a better form of entertainment but thats because its comedy. The original SAO is nowhere near as funny. Im not blind to all the issues the original had but I take it for what it is. I just hate this strange obsession that SAO Haters have with constantly propping up Abridged like it's this incredible gift from God.

I saw a thing that said the reason 2000 people died was because the NPC‘s like Gary were taken from the tutorial area and another thing said Kirito made the tutorial which means he made Gary so I think his PTSD with Gary runs really really deep not just because he left them to die but because Kirito made him and he left him to die

@@mac-gyver1152 for starters in the original asuna is only mostly there to be kirito thot and then when we see kirito sister she was like a temporary version of asuna by being incest but the biggest hate of sao was the ending of season one like imagine you were in sao you couldn't log out and if you die in the game you die irl and you get to ask the creator of the game why he did all of this just to hear that he forgot why he did it
@@EmmaPennyE.9001 in that sense I do understand where you're coming from. That was a crappy ending and the love triangle really did take away from the anime. Not to mention zero to no backstory building for anyone really 🤔 But I can't hate it for any of that. Especially when I've seen much worse anime and great anime both rise up and fall. The reason it's the greatest anime is because it was my first and showed a world that honestly I wish I was in many time in my life.

For me, I loved both the original, progressive, and abridged, but I never tried to compare the original to abridged because it doesn't make any sense to me. It's a parody, which means it's going to be hilarious, so of course people are going to like it better. Why would I compare that to the original, which is a lot less funny but still has its moments. When I compare the original to progressive, it makes sense because 1 is a remake. It's even funnier when everyone was offended because I was upset that there weren't enough abridged episodes out. It's like, if you love the series so much, why wouldn't you hate the fact that all the episodes aren't out yet? Why would you be upset that someone likes it so much that wish there was more?

This why I hate kirito. His holier than thou act throught the entirety of all SAO seasons really ruins the anime for me. Not gonna knock others for liking kirito. But u enjoy every other aspect other than his character. Yes I know this the abridged.
