Well no. It latched onto the beliefs of the Christians that were affected by it; it's essentially a manifestation of the conversion of Ireland. If Christianity is erased, then so long as it doesn't have a sizable enough following under another faith similar enough for it to transition, it will be contained, neutralized, and possibly even terminated. If not? Well then we're going to have mosques and synagogues devoted to the Abrahamic Cicada.

Unless I'm misreading it, I don't see where it says that it put Christianity back. Protocol Damnatio ad Bestias is the last document, whether it was successful or not is left to the imagination. Tbh I don't see how it would work. The deity would just latch on to the next closest religion (probably one of the other abrahamic religions).

eh not really in scp 304 is supposded to be the abhramic god and the Gate guardian is one of his angels neither of which were converted into bug monsters or killed by the thought form just the WORSHIP from humanity to them was hijacked and eaten. so they wiped out the belif and knowledge of christanity from humanity but didnt actually remove any of the supernatural divine elements christanity talked about. infact 304 likely might have brought the cicada back himself for the foundation erasing his work from humanity in the first place instead of asking him first. the lord is all loving after all and if the cicada belives in his work or as it belives "its own work" then he could be chill with it.

but how can a sacrifice be infinite? doesn't that defeat the purpose of a sacrifice?

@@howardhavardramberg7160 it's more you've got God while human dieing. God is supposed to be infinite so you have a sacrifice that would cover any sin humans could do for as long as we exist.

plus 304 didnt dissepar nor the gate guardian so the bug diety only hijacked the worship of christainity not the actual divinity afterlife or entitys etc etc.

​@@howardhavardramberg7160 Well.. in Christianity, Jesus is meant to be, like, the final sacrifice. God used to order people to do animal (lamb specifically) sacrifices and that's because Jesus hasn't died yet for us. You know how sometimes Jesus is called the Lamb of God or something like that? Yeah, Jesus was really meant to be the last one to be sacrificed for our sins and because He is the Son of God, we're pretty much covered forever. No need for more sacrifices. His sacrifice also made it possible for us to be "resurrected" (spiritually). This is just what I know though. Not sure if I said something slightly wrong.

It probably has a certain preference now so that anything that doesn’t line up with its sense of “taste” would be gross.
