you'll get used to it after 10 days and in most cities like Chennai it's only loud in the morning but after 6pm it dead silent but in cities like Mumbai its like this all day.
Real Salica How did you get well by yourself, if I can ask? I had food poisoning during my past trip and as soon as I attempted to eat or even drink water I would vomit. The result was that I was forced to go to a clinic because I was about to pass out.
Real Salica yes, I did that... emptied everything and then tried to stay hydrated and eat simple things as crackers, but I would vomit each time. XD I guess my food poisoning was very bad xD
I was actually surprised you ate that sandwhich, with that man preparing it with barehands, prepared on a busy dirty polluted street, put it on an uncovered table and used a newspaper as a napkin. Thats insane bro. Cant risk your own life/health just for a taste of Mumbai. Glad youre safe tho. Take care next time
Every Country have their own pros and cons and yours country whether u r from UK, USA and or any other so called "1st" World Nation is not filled with bed of roses because there are lots of thorns in yours Country's system and society as well. But you westerners are always wearing myopic spectacles have prejudiced, biased opinion against India with certain sinister vendetta. India is 7th largest country in the world in terms of Geographical Size and we have diverse cuisines to try out. If you have money, try out at more posh and better restaurants in India rather than Street food which you Westerners can't digest. Pay More and get better service. As simple as that. Don't judge the country on one bad experience.

Crazy, I would be seriously freaked out to visit an Indian hospital. Glad it all worked out. So where are you going next from Mumbai? Perhaps you've already moved on. Just thought I'd throw out a few suggestions. I'm sure you're familiar with Rajasthan. Udaipur, Pushkar, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer are all well worth a visit. Also Chittaurgarh and the fort there is really awesome and off the tourist trail. And if you want to check out some other places off the tourist map in that general part of Indiai, you might look into Mandu, Omkareshwar and Pachmarhi. They make an interesting triangle in the same area. Also there's the lonar meteor crater which I haven't been to, but sounds really interesting. And then the Ajanta and Ellora caves are pretty awesome. Anyway have fun and stay safe!
Yeah man, it was a bit scary. I am still in Mumbai at the moment but will be moving on to Radjasthan soon, it was my next destination. I will definitely be checking out a few of those places. That meteor crater sounds incredible! Cheers for the advice Gabe and hope Ibiza is treating you well :)
Gabriel Traveler Government hospitals for very poor people. You can visit any Private hospital and it's not expensive. Western visit India on Medical Tourism, great medical on Cheap price. And here is Ayurveda (oldest treatment) & Yoga which is far better than Alopathy 🕉 Happy Diwali.
I've seen enough of your videos to know that just about nothing freaks you out. You are one of the calmest people I have ever seen under pressure. Your truck breaking down in the middle of nowhere, and you continuing with your camping trip is an epic example. The goat thing was maybe a humorous exception. That goat seemed to like you - a lot. Any hospital, anywhere, today might be a reason for concern though.
This is what I'm terrified about. I already have gotten food poisoning several times just from food here in the United States so I'm absolutely terrified of getting it in another country. I once almost fainted the food made me so sick. I had to lay on the ground so I wouldn't fall.
Seriously foods in US aren't as hygienic as folks believe. Just drink bottled water and eat hot foods. If you still get the run go to a pharmacy and pop a pill for 30 cents > gone. You don't need a hospital unless it's more than food poisoning so for blood test and ivy hospital is good
Dr.Sachi dulal Chanda we could take over your country in a matter of 2 months I’d say less but we would be easy on you and not completely destroy what ever of a country you already have left😂
staying at cheap place is one thing but eating street food is playing with ur life be careful........please no need to take me wrong for all viewers I am also Indian living in England for 14 years but whenever I visit India I make sure I eat at clean place cause couple of times I had major issues of food poisoning and lever swelling ......we r prone to get food poison easily
I'm curious to see videos of people visiting India but I'm in no way interested in going. Looks like a filthy place. The number of people I know who got sick going there is staggering.
I think this little clip is the most scared I’ve been for you😅 Even after all the Haiti shenanigans. Being sick or injured in a country without proper medicine is VERY dangerous. A healthy young person like you could literally die. This is why I never ride motorcycles or scooters while traveling. A broken leg could lead to sepsis and death very easily.
My cousin (whos Australian) died from Rabies in India during the early 2000s. A cat scratched her and when she went to the hospital they turned her away and said she was fine. She died like some months later. Its super rare event, but yeah...the incompetence is real.
In all fairness, Indian doctors are amongst the best in the world. And hospitals are pretty awesome. Just don’t go to a government run hospital when there are 100’s of private in every city. My cousin’s friend had to cut his thumbs because of an error of judgement by doctors in the UK. Similar thing happens to me. Like you mentioned it’s super rare.
sorry to hear that but its common sense in india if you got a scratch from a stray cat or dog then shots are must even though you are turned away by hospitals
And please don't pet stray cats and dogs you find on Indian roads! They won't scratch/bite you and run away unless you go after them. It's common sense.
Dude don't choose too cheap lodges and clinics at least next time while you go India. I could understand from d room u filming this video how cheap lodge it is. So I could assume d standard of health clinic u had been 😃 .
Sounds like with the free healthcare in India, you really do get what you pay for. Way too noisy for me though. I've heard before that they aren't much for cleanliness. I think I'll take a pass on that trip.
True! You get what you pay for in India. Normal Indians don’t go to government hospitals. Only those who can’t afford the private clinics do. Also private clinics or hospitals aren’t really expensive for western standards. Probably £2 average fees. One has to be smart when travelling to India and with little research you’ll be fine.
I don’t know how Anthony bourdain did it, eating all that street food. I live in San Diego and have eaten street food in Tijuana all my life with no problem, but as soon as I visit Mexico a 1000 miles south I immediately get montzumas revenge after eating anything
That stingy man ate shit, lived in cheap n dirty places where even an average Indian wouldn't live and people like u are judging a country on basis of it. Very wise!
Its weird - you are eating dirty street food and don't care about that and worry at the same time about the injection you get at the hospital -- pure contradiction
Do you go and check out every kitchen before you eat a restaurant? If not, then how do you know its less dirty then street food? Street food is not dirty by default. I don't know about India, but for the whole of southeast asia it seems they start with fresh products everyday. Just check out where a lot of people are buying their street food. Lot's of customers= usually fresh products daily. There's always a risk of food poisening...Anywhere. But streetfood does not mean a higher risk at all. Just use common sense.
Smoer1: I never said you should not eat street food. If you are used to that kind of food - go ahead. I am not and I don't like it. BTW: I was referring to the contradiction in his string of argument...
Smoer1 The problem with food in east Asia usually is not the freshness, but the water used for the irrigation of vegetables and fruits, the one used for wash it all, and that used for cooking... 😓
*dear friend, if you go to a third world impoverished country do not 1 eat street food 2 drink only bottled water 3 do not use the tuktuk 4 do not use a service that's run by the Government*
I visited India for two weeks, for work (Delhi region). I got dengue fever but got sick only on the fly back, considering everything I was relieved I only got sick back home!
People think India is such shitty country, maybe it is ,but that's what we got, with population above 130billion and 1/3rd of size of America, yeah with oppressive 200 years rule by Britain, yeah it's bad,but I am from India and I am proud of it,I mean we make the best of it with what we got
That's terrible that they have free health care for foreigners - they should get travellers insurance on their own expense The Indian government should first provide half ass decent health care for its billions of ppl instead of free health care for foreigners. This doesn't even make sense to me what that country is thinking
You get what you pay for. You should definitely do your research before visiting places. Most anywhere could’ve told you eating street food would give you food poisoning. Should also be carrying your own health kit. Traveling via Uber and etc so you don’t get scammed and visit private hospitals for needs such as food poisoning. I’ve watch multiple videos of you in different locations of India and you focused on poverty and didn’t really engage with the culture. Really sad.
If u hv so mch negativity against India den don’t visit. Indians aren’t pleading for ppl to come and talking shit against their country. There are so many five star restaurants though but u tourists always have curiosity for street foods. Who’s asking you to have that???

I tried this sandwich few weeks back,it looked so good and the whole idea the bread being toasted with fresh veggies sounded good. I liked it the first time, ordered it the second time n ate a lot of it and guess what never ordering it again. Why?! I could make this sandwich myself using my own hands n eat it. But somebody in a restaurant making it for you, i bet they didn’t wear gloves while making it. Then the veggies, how well did they wash it before putting it into the grill must be laid with germs. The sandwich looks n sounds good but theres always a doubt on the hygiene and cleanliness of the preparation and the ingredients and how they handled it with their bare hands.
Hi yes it’s a real bummer getting sick while traveling. I remember getting sick in Morocco from something I hate the bad thing was I was on the bus to Marrakech and I kept asking the bus driver to stop very frequently. People on the bus weren’t too happy with me but when you gotta go you gotta go. It was either that or go on the bus. I ended up in the hospital and when you talked about your hospital experience in Mumbai It brought back memories about how awful my hospital experience was. The hygienic part was quiet an experience. Love your videos am watching one after an s other. God keep you blessed on your travels. Happy travels and lots of best wishes. Love from New York City 🙏❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💞💓💗💗💖💝💙💚❤️
So sorry this happened to you. Got the Delhi Belly, eh? Man, that hostel makes the hotels in the DPRK look like 5 star accommodations! And I've always wanted to visit India....and the DPRK. Glad you are feeling better!
i feel so sorry for you. absolutely you learned about Indian street food but through difficult and risky way. always should go to private hospitals however they cost a bit but better not risking health. people here in India don't have a concept of long term travelling. still again thank you so much for coming to India. please visit again.stay safe. enjoy egypt
So let me get this straight.. You went to a developing country where every guide ever mentions the high possibility of getting food poisoning with no emergency pills in your bag (which again every guide ever advises you to carry from home) and decided to have some questionable street food (which, guess what, every guide ever advises against) and when you went to the local hospital (which every guide warns is understaffed and lacking infrastructure and supplies) where you were after all effectively treated for free you complain that the doctors and nurses who face an overwhelming amount of patients with life threatening emergencies every day did not prioritize your comfort by looking for second blankets etc.. I'm not from India but I feel your view is kind of unfair and offending..
India is a big latrine, I agree with you admin. We are living in a hell. Our pm modi is the worst pm till now. And we are all andh bhakts. My dear admin , please don't visit here again. ..A proud Atheist. ...
You clearly know nothing about how traffic works in Asia. They don’t use indicators, the honking is to make other drivers aware of their presence. It is not aggressive.
Can you believe the type.of accommodation he is staying at?!! It's like visiting USA and staying at a homeless shelter and then vlogging-"People of USA are very poor. They queue up to spend a night decently. The food in soup kitchens are pathetic. But people of USA eat these nightmarish food." When we Indians visit other countries, we need to show accommodations and money in bank accounts to prove that we can/will spend in your countries. But these guys(he said there are other foreigners there!!!) just enter and start overcrowding our homeless centers! (Then complain in RU-vid about the nightmare. And people all over the world react.) I have backpacked around 12 countries and stayed in youth hostels with limited budget. I can't imagine anyone staying in accommodations costlimg less than $5. Okay do if you need to. But then don't complain. Also advice from an older(albeit less seasoned) backpacker. There is no reason to compromise on hygiene and sleep in a different country. Falling sick might cost you dearly.
India is a cheap country. There will be hostels(!!) for 50 cents a night. You don't go around saying "honey I found a place for our honeymoon!!" and then vlog about the room service. These places are visited by homeless people, druggies, alcoholics and bankrupt migrant workers.
Or can I vlog about my first hand experience budget travelling? Or do I need to be spending a certain amount of money to be allowed to voice an opinion? ❤️✌️
Indigo Traveller Well you are free to do whatever. But look at the hate you spread in the comments for this video- "Nuke the country", "Don't visit the dirty country".. You certainly did spread a strange notion about the country by deliberately choosing to stay/eat/even partake medical services with the cheapest possible value(usually meant for the poor and homeless). You spend $50 for a certain service in Europe. Why do you expect the same service for $5 in India. Spend $50 here too and you will get the same service. Simple
Indigo Nick: I've been watching your videos on Bangladesh and India for the past 2 days and I like them very much. But, like many of the commenters here, I am surprised that you are brave enough (or, is it foolish enough?) to eat street food indiscriminately. One little tip if you want to eat street food: Eat only what's been cooked in front of you. I guess bread from a manufacturer's packet that's been toasted in front of you is okay. Fresh veggies? It depends on whether they've been washed in clean water (and with clean hands). Any sort of sauce/chutney, such as tamarind chutney or that green chilli-coriander-mint chutney, should be a no-no! Tandoori chicken, samosas, vada-pao should be okay. But avoid the chutneys if you're buying them roadside. I speak as a native Bombayite who's lived abroad and returned home. First 25 years here, then 30 y in the US, back here 5 years ago -- and travelled on work to about a dozen countries in 4 continents. I daresay I have a decent idea of how standards of hygiene vary. The standard of public hygiene in India is very poor indeed. On visits to India (while I was abroad) I was very cautious about ingesting street food. And I do have a strong stomach. And a taste for street food. After returning for good, I gradually eased myself into eating street food. I think it was 3 years before I attempted the chutneys, and even now I do so only sparingly. And I have never, ever been to a Government/Municipal hospital. I think you could walk into a private GP clinic (there are plenty around) and get yourself treated for Rs. 500 or less, assuming it's nothing too serious. BTW, could you tell us the name of the areas you find yourself in. I don't seem to recognize them from the video shots. And I know Bombay pretty much like the back of my hand.

Why didn't you go to a private hospital, there are many.yes there are people who cannot afford private medicines and treatments they would have to go to these government hospitals which offer free treatment.
I was very careful(I thought) during my visit to Delhi, eating only in the hotel and at the conference center. I had done a lot of international traveling and got overconfident and didn’t even have much medicine with me. There was a Seinfeld episode about travel to India. The parents of the groom (Indian expatriates in NYC) told them "Don't ever go to India. It is a horrible place. They still have the plague." And after seeing the film Slumdog Millionaire, I believe it. I would never go to India for any reason. I have never met anyone who travelled there who did not get violently ill.
Right! Cuz the 1.3B people there are just stupid. I saw a documentary on how you could get shot in the US anytime. It’s dangerous and racist. But I am assuming that’s not the case eveywhere. Slumdog millionaire was a story based on poor people in India. But how do you explain that to an average American ignorant!

I would NEVER eat street food in India. That's some nasty/deadly hygiene there. Only eat at the convenience stores and make sure the food is sealed up.
Sandwich isn't Indian food..if you wanted to have, you should have went to a good restaurant...there are lots of available...but, you had to make a video and get more views anyway .
Sorry poor kid but Indian Spicy food is not for all. If you don't have stomach specially designed for Indian spices never go for one. That's not fair 😂😂
How is free healthcare for foreigners a good thing ? It’s not “free” as nothing is, it’s paid for by the Indian tax payers who themselves don’t receive “free” healthcare. So you’re taking advantage of Indian taxpayers, who are likely struggling to get out of poverty, to receive their hard earn benefits ? Pathetic
Like anywhere else, gov't is not spending money on it's people. In India, basic needs of having toilet is not available to all people, poor people take a shit on the beach. You could youtube search that and see it for yourself
