@@CRAZYMUGMAN Right because there weren't games called "Black Ops 2," "Black Ops 3," and "Black Ops 4." I promise World At War isn't in the Black Ops series even if it shares some narrative stuff
I am extremely disappointed in Sony, the audacity to release a new console that you can’t play Joe’s Diner on is just appalling. The absence of Knack 3 was bad enough, but this pushed me over the edge, I’m switching to the KFC console.
@@marcosmendez6833 circumstantial factors tho, the odds increase exponentially when you consider the people in question being heavily connected to the gaming world's sphere
I was finally able to find a PS5 at a local game store. I was so excited to finally play Joe's Diner in 4k. Sadly, I didn't see this video until now. I am heartbroken
My friend has brought over his PS5 to my house twice, couldn't stop staring at it. One day when I get a Series X I wanna put them side by side and take a photo.
how can you not get excited about computer chips. They are integrated circuits capable of billions of instructions a second. Blows my mind every time i think about it.
for real, I have hardware released in 2015-2017 and a 1080p monitor, that's 60 fps for almost every game out there even the new ones with decent graphics. Unless you're some sort of graphics fiend, collector, a really rich gamer or a show-off, upgrading to next gen isn't really necessary and it's really just a tech company battle of who can run crysis 3 at 200fps. Keep in mind that not only the high initial cost of these parts is important, the electricty bill is gonna go up as well if you do decide that you want to play god of war at ultra 8k 100fps.
I mean... AMD's claw back to not only relevance but dominance in performance has been a beautiful thing to watch these past couple of years.. also I can't deny the M1 Apple silicon is exciting as well..
Astro's Playroom is one of my favorite games from the PS5 launch. It comes with the console, and I was expecting some boring tech demo, but the game is so much fun! Finding all the little references and finally getting 100% of the collectibles was so nostolgic as a longtime PlayStation fan. If you have a PS5 and haven't played it, you definitely should!
@@haltuaketti420 the only way cod can do anything new is by an entire redevelopment of the series Those games haven't been worth playing in a very long time I didn't even think people still bought their products
@@thisaccountisntreal107 Not unless you only pick up games occasionally. I played COD 3 a lot and then later picked up on COD Black Ops and never touched another one until the MW remake came out. So when you play in huge gaps like that the game is always vastly different
my ps4 broke so I decided to get a ps5. I will say this, it is an excellent system and I'm certain there is nothing but great exclusives in store for it down the road, but sometimes when I'm using it i feel like I'm walking on eggshells. Im not sure how many of the issues Sony has fixed to this day but im a little paranoid after i lost my ps4. My advice: if you have a ps4 wait for a while, but if yours recently broke or you never had one, its a good investment.
my ps4 just broke recently and I'm thinking of buying a ps5 am I able to transfer my ps4 games and the progress of them from my broken ps4 to ps5? if I can then I'll buy it
@@angadgrewal9324 if you sign into your psn account all games you bought will still be yours. Progress however if you had a PS plus membership and had automatic cloud upload turned on, that’s the only way to retrieve save files.
“You get backwards compability with every PS4 game, except Joe’s Diner” I looked this up. This isn’t a joke. The PS5 isn’t backwards compatible for Joe’s Diner.
as someone who owns one its super underwhelming and still has a lot of technical issues, plus weird missing features like no 1440p support. yall really arent missing out since theres barely any games yet, at least some backwards compatible PS4 games get free upgrades or things like increased framerates. if youre on the fence then consider investing in a pc instead, unless youre really desperate to play some of the exclusives
It’s the exclusives for me. I haven’t had PlayStation since Xbox 360 came out so I’ve been missing out on everything. Dying to play Demon Souls, FFVII remake, Spider-Man, God of War, all of them
Is it just me? Do I have a poor grasp of time? Why is it that Dunkey’s videos feel so long when they aren’t even 10 minutes in run time? I love every second that’s somehow a minute.
I think Dunkey's videos are just straight to he point with no filler, his videos are also engaging, you rarely check the time on dumkey's videos to see when the video is over so your sense of time gets a little lost. also his videos are densely packed with content, a 4 minute video of dunkey's would be a 10 minute video for most people I have been think the same stuff about dunkey's videos lately and I think this is why it feels like that.
I mean his statements about Next gen hardware, and the implication that "visual fidelity's the only thing benefiting from 'em computer chips" should have told you enough about his knowledge of that stuff lol.
Follow Jesus. Not evil devices from hell. BTW, Jesus loves you. You are precious in His sight!! Wake up Brother. Look up! Repent- for real.. No time to play. satan steals. God is good. :)
It's actually only illegal for things considered essential. PS5 doesn't qualify. Still only punk assholes would do it I jist don't see them being prosecuted
@@powerbeard5653 Legislators have tried. This sort of thing is apparently really hard to make laws about because it’s so ingrained into the core mechanics of capitalism and the economy. If you try to ban it, it just ends up causing a bunch of other problems, like people who aren’t scalpers getting fined for selling their things for legitimate non-scalping reasons. It sucks, and is one of the flaws inherent to capitalism.
I remember getting a ps2 and GTA San Andreas and thinking ’wow this looks like real life’😁 I bought San Andreas again last year and i was shocked how shitty it looked compared to what i remembered it looked like🤷🏼♂️
It his tone. Most "essay" video sound condescending and snobby. Dunkey sounded like he has no idea what he was talking about but it actually make absolute sense, thus providing tiny bit of enjoyable satire.
YUP, not even Ghost of Tsushima or uncharted are at par with GOW4. I put RDR2 below GOW4 bc it's originally a PC title and they intentionally made texture for very very high-end PCs whereas GOW4 was only developed for PS4 and yet GOW4 looks way better
@Kevin G I don't quite catch if it is sarcasm or not, no but really, im lost. If you use the word "ever" with no more specifications, you compare it to every similar type of game *EVER.* Not just ps5 or shit, *ever.*
Lol. For real though, Demon souls gameplay sucks. The new cod on ps5 is sick. They definitely made some good updates. It's actually quite a bit different than previous cod. Think the direction of modern warfare, but better.
@BallisticBucket Nah that was definitely pyramid head dragging someone lol, but they do look super similar. Bloodborne hunter was the first one in the clip @ 5:31
I absolutely adore Astro’s Playroom, everybody should play that first, no reason not to. Perfect introduction to the new console & controller. Very cute! Awesome to be able to collect memorabilia from PlayStation History.
@@sixwings6932 I still thought Odyssey was good even thought you weren’t really an assassin. Those weren’t really things in Ancient Greece. But the world was super detailed, there were lots of customizable things like armor, weapons and a ship and it had an enticing story.
Just got disc edition ps5 for 700 dollars. Came with 2 games (God of War Ragnarok and Lost Judgement) + Playstation pulse headphones. Paid about 15% more than I'd have liked but it was the best deal out there. They are rare as hell to find here in Asia. Even rarer than in America. I got tired of waiting I pretty much bought one just for FF XVI. Demon souls is fun also and the quick loading screens makes it easy to play.
Bro this is seriously the best info out there. I was literally going to try and hunt for a ps5 under $800 but after this video imma just chill with my ps4 for now
Honestly, I don't think it can, the only reason knack 2 didn't sell too well was obviously bcs the ps4 pro couldn't run it Knack 3 would demolish the ps5
@@granolaa2877 You really think the ps5 could handle knack 3? I mean it was obvious even the ps4 pro couldn't handle knack 2, leading to poor sales obviously. Knack 3 would obviously find an extremely impressive jump in graphics, physics, and the engine, and my theory is even the ps5 wouldn't be able to handle that. I would guess at low settings, we would get 5 fps MAX
The only way we can run knack 3 is by enslaving a thousand people and using their brains to create a neural network by using their brains as gpus, and then put the amd thread ripper 696969 from the year 420420 as our cpu. then we get 1080p 30 fps
Honestly that's part of why I play on PC. Not to play at 4k ultra settings (my pc is only slightly above a ps4'), but just so I don't have to keep buying new consoles just to play whatever games come out. And emulation means exclusives are covered as well.
@@robertajenkins2591 good game or not, is it worth buying it, giving money to those people? I'm using a Far Cry 4 pfp and yet have no faith whatsoever in them nor the Assassin's Creed franchise.
The main thing that the consoles hardware can enhance is how the game performs. 60 fps should be the standard for most action games But the controller is the the thing that should have developers brains thinking. Look at steam input. It has the gyroscope like the switch. So gyro aiming and gyro cursor The touchpad could be used for touch menus. Having it be seen as several buttons even if it it techanically one button The adaptive triggers and rumble could help with immersion. Telling you where yoh are in the world. Mainly, helping blind people on where they might be in the world with how detailed the rumble might be
One of my favorite Dunkey jokes is he shows you two labeled pictures and compares them, and then turns out they were mislabeled. It's such a good way of making a point lol. He did it in the Tropical Freeze review in a really clever way too.
It wasn't used effectively in this video though. It would have been effective if he showed an image of the game in 4k next to an image of the game in 1080p and the labels were reversed. If the viewer couldn't tell that the 4k image was actually lower resolution, then it would prove that the jump to 4k isn't really significant. However, since he didn't show how the game looked in 4k compared to 1080p, he didn't prove anything, as the the viewer is left still wondering if the game would look fantastic or not when the two are compared.
@@Applebargain I agree, I noticed this too. That being said, I think that demonstration was meant for people who claim that it's a major jump (when in reality they don't know what that jump looks like). Still, I agree, it could have been more effective.
