This is just my opinion. I am NOT an expert. I carry for self defense and self defense only. I’m not an avid shooter. I don’t see the purpose of spending $500+ on something that will do the exact same thing something for $300 will do. Hopefully I never have to pull the trigger in self defense, but if I do, it will be within 10 yards. The bullet is going to do the same damage from a G3C as it would from a 365. The Taurus will be just fine for what I need. I ordered it the other day and it’ll be here Tuesday. Now, with that being said, before I got my CCW and Sleepy Joe gave us money, I did buy myself a Springfield XDM .40. It is my everyday open carry. Once my G3C comes in, I’ll be conceal carrying it, and my XD will be my home defense gun. Great review sir!

I like your comment but I'm a one type hand gun type person I don't see a need to carry a CCW gun and a home defense gun I prefer to train with one gun and shoot it the best as you said most self-defense situations are at 10 yards why carry a 9mm and a .40 at home the 40 will have more recoil a 9mm is enough to stop the threat.

@@jsr-uz3oj I see what you’re sayin. You’re correct. Like I said, I’m not an avid gun guy. Basically what I meant was, my Springfield will be the gun left at home most of the time. Except when I go to the range of course.

Thank you sir for your unbiased opinion. If I had dig money I would’ve bought one no doubt, but I got the g3c toro because it was in my budget. I can’t speak on anything about the wig except from what I’ve seen and heard on RU-vid reviews, but I can say that the g3c is a damn good self defense pistol. The things like trigger pull , grip and the manual safety that everyone complains about doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t even use the thumb Saftety lol, it’s like it’s not even there. I think people put to much stock on price than quality, some expensive 5 or 6 hundred dollar guns or no better than the Taurus g3 series. Great vid sir.

You hit the nail! Both guns are similar but the Sig is a carry-concealed gun of high quality and micro size designed to carry all day. The Taurus is a compact size slightly heavier, bigger to carry all day but is a decent pistol for the price. Sig Sauer comes with 2 10rd. mags and will take a 12 rd. mag. The Taurus comes with 3 12 rd. mags.

Great video..I’ve carried both and currently cc the g3c. IMO size is a non issue, I carry appendix and think the Sig is a little to small where as the Taurus sits and feels great in appendix carry. And for me the g3c fits my hand better and the texture of the grip is perfect.

I have a g3 and a g3c. Great guns. I was able to get both new for the price of 1 glock or 1 sig. Not a junk gun at all. I like the grip and feel of the g3c. The 12 round mag fits my hand perfect and feels like the absolute minimum comfortable grip for my hand. I dont like my pinky hanging so i didn't choose the sig. I wanted something i could run out of the box without needing mag extensions or trigger jobs just to want to shoot it. The taurus does its job and does it well. Its a practical gun choice. The sig is a good choice for many but for me the g3 and g3c cover my needs and perform way above the price. Its not the best looking choice but there are much worst guns to look at. If i could do it again i would have chosen one of them to be the toro model. If i do get a sig in the future then im going spectre comp.

I carried a Taurus G2c in my pocket for 2 years great gun very reliable love it but I'm 58 have bad back bad knees and the weight was getting to me I know only about 5oz less but it matters so after months of research and shooting many others I went with the 365 I now carry it in my Desantis holster for the Taurus with a TLR-6 fits perfect easier to carry love them both the Taurus fits my budget better hated having to spend that much I paid $529.00 for the 365 but no regrets awesome gun you can feel the better quality and I called Sig just to see what their response time was very short the Sig is a better-made gun but I would trust my life with both can't afford 500 get the Taurus.

I am sure that the Sig is a bit better all the way around. But not enough to make me spend twice as much. For the price of the Sig, I have a G3 and a G3C. The difference in size is more a mental thing I've found - to a degree. But the difference between these two in size and weight should not be enough to make a real difference IMHO. I think you did a very fair comparison here. If I had enough money that I didn't care about $300 either way, then I might go with the Sig. I have handguns that much more expensive than the Sig. I can afford it. But if I can have a great carry gun for 1/2 the price? Well you know what I did. The $300 difference will always make a difference to me bc I've had to earn every dollar that I have.

Great comparison for us regular guys. I've had my g2c for a few years and it's been totally flawless with over 2000 rounds. It likes 124 and 148 grain better than 115. Put on night sights, Keeptinkering trigger shoe, lakeline stainless steel guide rod, spring, and striker sleeve. It's really so much better now. But after all those upgrades, I'm still going to get a 365xl being it won't need any upgrades.

I am 70 years young I have only had 3 Taurus pistols, 1 revolver, and two automatics, light weight 38 , a G3c, and a pt1911. Personally, I have a G2C. I bought it way before the G3c was on the market. One thing to keep in mind is if you are involved in a self defense shooting even if it's a straight up legal one the Leo dept will confiscate the weapon. Many times you'll play hell getting it back. I know a retired LASD deputy that told me that when people come in to pick up their weapon they're told "its already been destroyed" so they can take it for themselves. He carries the P365 that's how the discussion came about, the price between the two. BTW, my G2C is just fine and G3c 15 & 17 round mags are interchangeable. My G2C was $218 out the door in '18 and are still about the same now. Also, Viridan has a modular laser sight, red/green for about $80 that looks like it's part of the trigger guard. BTW, I've never noticed the "springy" thing he speaks of. He must have a very sensitive touch. All I feel in recoil! Lakeline LLC makes a lot of add ons for the Taurus. I replaced the plastic firing pin guide bushing on my G2C with a SS one from Lakeline, about $17 before shipping.

I bought my P365 just after Sig fixed the problems it had with it's first generation models, and then upgraded the trigger and frame to the P365X, which is VASTLY better (but wasn't available when I bought mine). I've also upgraded the mags to the 14+1 Magguts +2 kit, and that provides unheralded capacity for a pocket carry (yes, pocket carry). I also bought my G2C soon after it first came out to use as my car's glove box weapon (since it's almost impossible to draw a pocket carried pistol when seated in a car seat). I also upgraded to the factory 17 round (and 15 round for the backup) mag, because you can never have too many rounds when (God forbid) you actually need them. Now, I've upgraded to the G3C, since I wanted an RMR on it, and retrofitting the G2C was almost as costly as buying a whole new pistol, so I went that route. I won't be carrying the G3C since it'll be to big to pocket carry, and that's the ONLY way I'll go. Both are highly recommended and have a solid place in my defense strategy, but for home defense I've got even more fire power, since space and size aren't limiting factors there. BTW-both are carried with Underwood's 90 gr. +P Xtreme Defenders (fluted solid copper with nickel plated brass), since the short barrels of both the P365X and G2C/G3C are insufficient for even the best hollow points to expand. That ammo is, unfortunately, rather expensive, but my life is worth it (at least to me).

He's comparing a micro with a sub compact here. The GX4 is the Taurus that competes with the P365. I just bought a GX4 for $244.99 and the P365 is still at $499.99. GX4 is same length, .08 inches thicker, .1 inch taller and .7 ounces heavier. The GX4 holds 11 rounds vs the P365's 10. GX4 comes with 2 11-round mags but the GX4 TORO comes with one 13-round mag and one 11-round mag.

Is the Sig P365 the most popular CCW? I've been a active, valid CCW carrier for a decade in Kommi-Kalifornia and it's overwhelmingly the M&P Shield. I've shot both and agree, the P365 and P365XL should be more popular, it's better in almost every way except price; the Shield's trigger is something to be desired. Personally, I carry a Glock 43 and love it and i'm not really a Glock guy. If I wasn't so broke or stingy, I would sell the G43 and carry a Springfield 1911 EMP....but it's North of $1k! Love your humor and casual way of reviewing serious stuff. Take care.

first 2k rounds out of my G3c went without issue. Then the problems hit- consistent ejection failures. Filled out Taurus online warranty form and was instructed to send it in. Went to UPS and found out they will only let you overnight a gun - $120 from the west coast. That's something I didn't take into consideration about the "lifetime warranty". In 2022 UPS is basically the only option. Basically 40% of the guns cost to send in for warranty service- that's a hard one to take.

My opinion being; everybody thinks this G3C is fantastic due to the Cheap Price! I own both, Sig and Taurus, and notice large differences in metallurgy, metal quality and internal workmanship quality control. I have disassembled many Taurus pistols, primarily to perform trigger and spring changes, and noticed some with bluing over rust on metal internal components, and other Machin work tolerance irregularity. This is not to say Taurus is a bad product, as I find my G3C one of the Most Comfortable in hand pistols of 17 I own. I finally resolved my constant light strike glitch, installed Tru-Glo fiber optic sights, Keep Tinkering flat faced SOA trigger, Lakeline llc recoil system for my personal preferences. As a lifelong machinist and firearms owner/operator; I would trust the Sig for longevity and quality control. I understand the price per value for the Taurus, as was my primary reason for initial purchase, and the many blogs where owners state firing 1000s of rounds from their G3Cs, just not me.
