That was a good day,fyi that lead pc with 75 on it is a train car/baggage seal supposedly,so the receiver knew that nothing was opened during shipping,I dug a purple car identical to yours a while back, gotta love those toys& Silver HH brother -Brian
I will take a guess (WAG) at your bullet. It appears to be a .40, .42, or .44 Cal rifle bullet. Would you clean out the bottom ring and see if there are IIIIIIIIIIIIII marks around it at that point? If it does then it is a Post Civil War bullet. If it is smooth all around then it could be Civil War vintage. From the pictures you have provided I would say it was fired but until you clean off the dirt I really can't say for sure. Congrats on the find in any case! ;-) Dave
